DAM-3218 Module
Overview of Module Function
DAM-3218 is a general RS-232 to RS-422/RS-485 optical isolation converter, the converter compatible
with RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 standard. Built-in optical isolators and DC/DC isolation module, can
provide up to 2500Vrms isolation voltage. With power indicator and data flow indicator.

1500W each line lightning, surge, +/-15KV ESD protection and prevention common code interference

Common Faults and Exclusion Method
1. Data Communication Failure
¾Check the RS-232 interface, whether the wiring is correct.
¾Checks the RS-485, RS-422 output interfaces, whether the wiring is correct.
¾Check the power supply is normal.
¾Check the receiving indicator is flashing
¾Check the sending indicator is flashing
¾Check whether the terminals are connected well.
2. Data loss or errors
¾Check the transfer rate and the format are consistent of the data communications equipment at both ends.
