HAZARD
Indicates an immediate hazardous situation that, if not prevented, will result in serious injury or death.
WARNING
Indicates a possible hazardous situation that, if not prevented, could result in serious injury or death.
CAUTION
Indicates a possible hazardous situation that, if not prevented, could result in slight or moderate injury.
This can also be used to indicate unsafe use.
2. General safety instructions
In the interest of your safety and to ensure correct use, it is important that you read these instructions carefully, including any tips and
warnings, before using the product. Keep these instructions and ensure that users are properly informed as regards the use and safety of
the product.
Belintra is not liable for:
• Damage caused by a failure to follow the instructions or by improper use.
• Consequences of modifications made to the product by the user.
• Damage incurred by use other than as described in the intended use.
Instructions for stability
• Place the UBeFlex®storage system on as smooth as possible surface. Minor differences in height (max. 0,5 cm per metre) can be
absorbed by the height-adjustable feet. During assembly, make sure the rack is level.
• Do not stand or climb on the UBeFlex®storage system.
• In the case of a column set-up, do not remove more than 1 basket at a time from the runners.
• Make sure shelves are correctly loaded. Heavy loads at bottom, light loads at top.
• Make sure the weight is distributed as evenly as possible between the shelves.
• Place the load gently on the shelves or in the runners.
• The stationary unit must not under any circumstances be moved while loaded.
• Please follow closely the instructions on weight capacity as described in this manual.
• Make sure the spacers clamp properly. Always use a rubber hammer to ensure the spacer/shelf profiles clamp onto the hooks.
When doing so, follow the mounting instructions closely.
• Only use the components supplied by Belintra to assemble the UBeFlex®shelving system.
• Permissible operating temperatures -10 °C / +40 °C.
WARNING
• Failure to follow the stability instructions can lead to injury or damage to property / environment.
• The movable version (with wheels) can only be used stationary with limited mobility on a level surface in connection
with floor cleaning. The movable version may not be used as a cart within a logistics system. For this, use the open
transport carts.

3. Introduction
This manual describes the correct use, installation and safety instructions of the UBeFlex®Belintra shelving system.
The UBeFlex®storage system is used in the medical sector, and can be used on a highly versatile basis, thanks to the modular set-up
with D-type, DIN-type or W-type columns, possibly in combination with shelves, in various departments of healthcare facilities. It can
be used in both sterile (storage of sterile sets) and non-sterile environments. From CSSD/SPD via the pharmacy to the kitchen and cold
storage. The shelving system was developed with quick assembly, ergonomics, design, hygiene and modularity in mind. The set-up is
accessible from both sides.

4. Product
Product architecture
The UBeFlex®shelving system consists of posts and a spacer set. A spacer set consists of 4 connecting elements that join the posts
together. You need 2 posts and 1 spacer set to build 1 column. In addition, possibly also spacer locks and a back reinforcement kit are
added (see maximum capacities p. 4).

The UBeFlex®shelving system is available in different versions.
A. UBeFlex®columns for storage of modular trays, baskets or shelves (modules) in/on runners
1. D-type column: for modules 400 x 600 mm that are slid onto the runners in a downwards direction (600).
2. W-type column: for modules 400 x 600 mm that are slid onto the runners widthways (400).
3. DIN-type column: for modules 300 x 600 mm that are slid onto the runners in a downwards direction (600).
REMARK
The UBeFlex®columns may only be used in combination with the designated modules. In the case of a D-type and W-type column,
400 x 600 mm dimensions (see specification). In the case of a DIN-type column, 300 x 600 mm dimensions (see specification).
The height of the module is not important here.

B. UBeFlex®shelving
A shelving consists of 2 shelf profiles onto which plastic shelves with a width of 300 mm are placed. The length of the profiles
determines the number of shelves. In each case, the available lengths of a complete shelving are a multiple of 300 mm, up to a
maximum of 1800 mm. A shelving with a length of 900 mm (as in the above illustration) has 3 shelves. The shelves are made from
plastic (polypropylene).

Stationary or movable
The stationary posts are fitted with height-adjustable feet. This is to absorb
minor differences in height in the floor surface. They make sure the rack can be
placed completely level by being slid in and out.
Height 2040 mm
26 usable runner positions
The movable posts have double Tente castors Ø 50 mm, 1 with a brake. The fork
and the wheel centre are made of polyamide, the tread of polyurethane and they
have a wheel hub on precision ball bearings.
Height 1960 mm (including wheels)
24 usable runner positions
WARNING
The limited mobility is in connection with floor cleaning and
not intended for use as a cart.
WARNING
Respect the maximum loading capacities as indicated on p. 4.
If needed, use the spacer locks and back reinforcement kit as indicated on p. 4.
The UBeFlex®posts are available both stationary and movable, in connection with floor cleaning.

Combinations
The UBeFlex®storage system is modular in structure, allowing various different combinations. You can extend endlessly, possibly in
combination with shelves. To extend a column you need 1 post and connecting elements. Examples in illustration below.
In the case of movable configurations, the extension is limited (see page 4).

14

WARNING
Movable configurations:
- Max. length shelving 2,3 meter
- Max. 5 sections of DIN- and D-type
- Max. 3 sections of W-type
WARNING
Do not create configurations other than those described in this manual.
Bear in mind the following 3 rules:
1. D-type columns, DIN-type columns and D-type shelves can be combined.
2. W-type columns and W-type shelves can be combined.
3. W-type CANNOT be combined with DIN- or D-type
Always combine columns or shelf set-ups of the same depth.
The following set-up is an example of a combination of 2 D-type columns with D-type shelf, length 900 mm.

6. Mounting open frame on telescopic runners
Wall mount
WARNING
• Frame on telescopic runners up to maximum
height of 1 m.
• Always in UBeFlex®set-up in combination
with wall mount.
• Max. load: 25 kg.
• Only extract one frame at a time.
1m max.
Preparation
The frame on telescopic runners consists of 3 parts:
2 telescopic runners on mounting plates (1), and the frame (2).
Mounting the runners
Mount the telescopic runners (1) on the UBeFlex®posts and make sure to check if the left and right runners are mounted on the correct
side. Use the caps and turn-pins to secure the runners on the posts. First plug in the cap and use the turn-pin to secure the plate. Make
sure both plates are on the same height in the UBeFlex®column.
Securing the frame
Once the telescopic runners are in place, secure the frame (2) by simply clicking it onto the
runners. Slide open both the left and right runner and place the frame on top. Each runner has
2 clips which hold the frame, align the clips of the runners with the gaps on the outside of the
frame and push down. You will hear the frame click into place.
