1.Plug the USB connector ofthe USB Keyboard to one ofthe
USB portson the computer.
2." Add N ew Hardware Wizard " will pop up with the following
messages: Thiswizard searchesfor new driversfor: USB
Composite Device.
3.At the bottom ofthisscreen click on the " Next " button.
4.On the next " Add N ew Hardware Wizard " screen ,you will
be asked : What do you want windowsto do?
5.Select "Search for the best driver for your device
( recommended ) " then click on " N ext " again.
6.The next " Add N ew Hardware Wizard " givesyou this
message : Windowswill search for new driversin its
driver database on your hard drive and in any ofthe
following locations.
7.Put a check on the box where it says" C D-RO M drive " .
8.Click " N ext " to start the search.
9.Insert the Win98 C D-RO M on your C D-RO M drive then click
the " N ext " button.
10.O n the next screen you will get the following messages:
Windowsdriver file search for the device: USB Human
Interface Device.
11.Windowsisnow ready to install the best driver for this
device.Click " Back " to search for a different driver,or click
" Next " to continue.

12.Location ofDriver:
C:\Windows\Inf\USB.inf
Click on " N ext " .
13.Fileswill be copied from the CD-RO M then a new screen
will pop up with the following message: USB Human
Interface device.
14.Windowshasfinished installing the driver that your new
hardware requires.
15.Click on " Finish " .
16." A dd N ew Hardware Wizard " will pop up again with the
following messages:Thiswizard searchesfor new drivers
for:USB Human Interface Device.
17.A device driver isa software program that makesa
hardware device work.
18.At the bottom ofthisscreen click on " N ext " .
19.Repeat steps2-4.
20.O n the next screen you will get the following messages:
Windowsdriver file search for the device:USB Human
Interface Device.
21.Windows®isnow ready to install the best driver for
thisdevice.
22.Click " Back " to search for a different driver,or click " N ext "
to continue.
23.Location ofDriver: C:\ Windows\Inf\Hiddev.inf
24.Click on " N ext " .
