INTRODUCTION
Thank you for your purchase of the Bellari VP530 Tube Phono Preamp. The
VP530 is designed to amplify an RIAA equalized phono signal to a Hi-Fi level sig-
nal, and is intended for magnetic pickups. Since the unit utilizes tube circuitry, the
resulting output signal is more warm and musical than solid state preamplifiers.
INSPECTION
1. Unpack and Inspect the VP530 package
Your VP530 was carefully packed at the factory in a protective carton. Nonethe-
less, be sure to examine the unit and the carton for any signs of damage that
may have occurred during shipping. If obvious physical damage is noticed,
contact the carrier immediately to make a damage claim. We suggest saving
the shipping carton and packing materials for safely transporting the unit in the
future.
2. We recommend registering on-line at www.rolls.com.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTES:
First of all - turntables and tube equipment have a certain level of noise. That's
why the two technologies are essentially obsolete.
The VP530 is intended for use with Moving Magnet cartridges, not Moving Coil.
While a Moving Coil cartridge will work, you will be required to turn up the volume
of the unit as well as your receiver/amplifier causing an increase in noise.
CONNECTION/OPERATION
-Connect your turntable to the VP530 as shown.
-The Outputs may be connected to an amplifier or recording device such as; a
cassette recorder, computer sound-card input, Headphone amp, ect. Only use a
Tip-Ring-Sleeve stereo plug in the Headphone Output. CONNECTING A MONO
PLUG IN THIS JACK WILLRESULT IN PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE VP530.
-Connect the AC adaptor to the unit and an AC outlet or power strip.
-Play a record on the turntable and adjust the Output Level and Headphone Level
controls to the desired amounts.
-Switch in the Rumble Filter to eliminate very low frequencies if needed.
-Press in the Mute switch when you wish to mute the RCA outputs of the VP530
(the Headphone Output will still be active).

FAQ:
Q: Does the tube need time to warm up before use?
A: Yes, it will be usable in about 30 seconds. Longer warm up times are
not needed, there is no benefit to warming the tube up longer than 60
seconds. (warm up) simply means plugging in the power supply.
Q: What is the life expectancy of the vacuum tube in the VP530?
A: 10 to 50 years (or longer if you do not use the unit very often) if you
use it more often it will have a shorter life, like a light bulb. 10 years if
you have the unit on 24/7 every day all the time. 15 years if you use the
unit once a day. 25 years if you use the unit a couple times a week. More
than 40 years if you use the unit a few times a month.
