Important Safeguards
When using this electrical appliance,
the following basic safety precautions
should always be followed:
• Please read these instructions before
operating and retain these for future
reference.
• Before connecting the kettle to the power
supply, check that the voltage indicated on
the appliance corresponds with the voltage
in your home. If this is not the case, contact
yourlocalqualiedtechnicianandDONOT
use the kettle.
• Use this kettle with the supplied base only.
• If the supply cord or any part is damaged,
cease use of this appliance immediately to
avoid a hazard.
• Donothangthepowercordovertheedge
of table or allow the cord or the user to touch
the external part of the enclosure after or
during operation.
• Placetheapplianceontheatsurface.Do
not place on the heated surface or near a
hot gas or electric burner or oven.

• Prior to operating this appliance, please
ensure that the lid is properly closed.
• PressdowntheOn/Offswitchgentlywhen
you are ready to operate the appliance.
• Donotremovethelidwhilethewateris
boiling.
• When cleaning, allow the appliance to cool
rstthenwipewithaslightlydampcloth.
• Thisapplianceisintendedtobeusedin
household and similar applications such as:

CAUTION
• Do not operate the kettle on an inclined
plane. Do not operate the kettle without
water inside. Do not move the kettle
while it is switched on.
• Ensure that the kettle is switched off
before removing it from its stand. The
appliance must not be immersed in
water or any other liquids.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or
similarly qualied persons in order to
avoid a hazard.
• The base and exterior of the kettle must
not become wet.
• Do not operate the kettle on an inclined
surface.

Operation
Warning: Do not operate the kettle without
enough water lled.
It is recommended to operate the kettle several
times following the below instructions and
discardtheboiledwaterbeforerstuse.Thiswill
remove any material, residue or dust from the
appliance, which may exist from the
manufacturing process.
1.OpenthelidbypressingdowntheLid
openingbuttonandllwithfreshcoldwater
into the kettle up to the desired water level
withoutexceedingthemaximumlevel.Then
closethelidensuringthatitisrmlyclosed.
TheMaximumwaterlevelisindicatedinsidethe
kettleandismarkedbytheword“1.7L-MAX”.
Themaximumamountofwatertobeusedis
indicatedbythe“MAXFILL”levelintheright
gure.Donotoverllthekettleaswatermay
eject from the kettle.
Theminimumamountofwateris0.5L.Please
ensure the water level reaches at least the
bendedpartoftubeinsidethekettle.The
minimumwaterlevelisindicatedbythe“MIN
FILL”levelinthegurebelow.

Caution: The lled water level must be
between “1.7L” and “0.5L”. Failure to keep
the water level within this range may
damage the element, kettle components
or water may eject from the appliance
when boiling.
2. Place the kettle on the Power Base and
connect it to the power supply. Position the
kettle so that the spout of kettle is facing
away from you and any other materials that
could be damaged by hot steam.
3.PresstheOn/Offswitchdownandthelamp
willbeilluminated.Donotopenthelidwhile
the water is boiling.
4.ThePowerwillcutoffautomaticallyandthe
switchwillreturntotheOFFpositionwhen
thewaterhasboiled.Theindicatorlamp
will switch off. Unplug the kettle after use
immediately.
5.Theboilingprocesscanbeterminatedat
any time by lifting the kettle off the Base or by
liftingtheOn/Offswitchup.
6. Lift the kettle from the power base and then
pour the water.
Note: Operate carefully when pouring
the water from your kettle as boiling
water may result in scald, besides, don’t
open the lid while the water in the
kettle is hot.
CAUTION
•Takecareandkeepthekettlelevelwhen
removing it with boiled water, otherwise, hot
water may be leaked and burn your body.
•Neveroperatetheapplianceempty.If
this occurs, the thermal cut-off inside the
kettle would operate to cut off power
automatically. Unplug the appliance and let
it completely cool down.
•Bewareofsteamcomingfromthespoutorlid
especiallyduringrelling.Neveropenthelid
when the kettle is boiling.
•Thekettleswitchesoffautomaticallywhen
the water has boiled. Always keep the lid
closed when pouring the water out.
•Ifthekettlehasrecentlyboiledandswitched
off automatically, it may be necessary to wait
for approx. 15 seconds before the switch can
be reset.
•Bewareofsteamandscalding!

Care and Cleaning
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the
appliance, do not use alkaline cleaning
agents when cleaning, use a soft cloth and
a mild detergent.
1. Remove the plug from the wall outlet and let
the appliance completely cool down before
cleaning.
2.Donotimmersepowercord,kettleand
Power Base in water or any other liquids.
3.Donotuseabrasivecleanersorharsh
chemicals to wipe the housing.
4.Periodicaldescalingisneeded.Theintervalof
descaling depends on the quality of water in
your living area and the frequency that you
use the kettle.
5.Thepowercordcanbewoundaroundthe
bottom of the base for storage.
6.Donotattempttodismantlethekettleor
powerbase.Nouserserviceablepartsinside
it. In the event of a malfunction, contact your
localqualiedservicetechnicianforadvice.
NOTE: This kettle has an overheating
protector in the kettle. In the event of
overheating, such as operating without
water in the kettle or the water being
boiled-dry, the kettle will automatically
shut down to prevent further damage.
