IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using this electrical appliance, the following basic safety
precautions should always be followed:
1. Read all instructions before using.
2. Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the
voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds with the voltage in
your home. If this is not the case, contact your local qualified
technician and DO NOT use the kettle.
3. Use this kettle with the supplied base only.
4. If the supply cord or any part is damaged, cease use of this
appliance immediately to avoid a hazard.
5. Unplug it from the power outlet when not in use.
6. Do not hang the power cord over the edge of table or allow the
cord or the user to touch the external part of the enclosure after or
during operation.
7. Place the appliance on the flat surface. Do not place on the heated
surface or near a hot gas or electric burner or oven.
8. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
9. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
appliance.
10. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug,
power base and kettle in water or other liquid.
11. After boiling, please avoid touching the steam coming from the
spout and avoid touching the external enclosure. Also, do not
open the lid without allowing the appliance and water to cool.
12. Take care when pouring hot water.
13. This product is for boiling water only. Do not attempt to heat any
other liquids.
14. Only use the handle when handling this appliance.
15. This appliance has been manufactured for the purpose of indoor,
household use only. Do not use in a commercial or industrial
environment. Never use it outdoors.
16. Take care when handling or moving this appliance when water is
still in the container.
17. The use of any accessories or attachments that are not

recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire,
electric shock, personal injury or damage to this appliance or the
customer’s property.
18. When cleaning, allow the appliance to cool first then wipe with a
slightly damp cloth.
19. Prior to operating this appliance, please ensure that the lid is
properly closed.
20. Do not place this appliance on a metal surface.
21. Do not boil when the water level is below the minimum level mark,
this will result in damage to the appliance.
22. Do not overfill. The water level must not exceed the maximum
water level mark. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be
ejected.
23. Beware of steam coming from the spout or lid especially during
refilling. Never remove the lid while the water is boiling.
24. CAUTION: Do not operate the kettle on an inclined plane. Do not
move the kettle while it is switched on.
25. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar
applications such as:
- Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working
environments;
- Farm houses;
- By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environments;
- Bed and breakfast type environments.
26. Save these instructions.
CAUTION
•Ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing it from its
stand. The appliance must not be immersed.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
•Always ensure that hands are dry before handling the plug or
switching on the appliance.
•Always allow the appliance to cool before cleaning or storing.
•The base and exterior of the machine must not become wet.

OPERATION
It is recommended to operate the kettle several times following the
below instruction and discard the boiled water before first use. This will
remove any material or dust from the appliance, which may exist from
the manufacturing process.
1. Open the lid and fill fresh cold water into the kettle. Then close the lid
ensuring that it is closed correctly.
Caution: the filled water level must be between the “1.5L (MAX)”
and “0.5L (MIN)” level as indicated on the housing. Failure to
keep the water level within this range may damage the element,
kettle components or water may eject from the appliance when
boiling.
2. Replace the kettle on the Power Base and connect it to power supply.
Position the kettle so that the spout of kettle is facing away from you
and any other materials that could be damaged by hot steam.
3. Press the On/Off switch down and the lamp will be illuminated. Do
not open the lid while the water is boiling.
4. The Power will cut off automatically and the switch will return to the
OFF position when the water has boiled. The indicator lamp will
switch off.
5. The boiling process can be terminated at any time by lifting the kettle
off the base or by lifting the On/Off switch to the OFF (O) position.
CAUTION
-Take care and keep the kettle level when removing it with boiled
water, otherwise, hot water may be leaked and burn your body.
-Never operate the appliance empty. If this occurs, the thermal cut-off
inside the kettle would operate to cut off power automatically. Unplug
the appliance and let it completely cool down if this occurs.
-If the kettle is filled above the maximum level mark, hot water may
be ejected from the spout during boiling.
-Beware of steam coming from the spout or lid especially during
refilling. Never open the lid when the kettle is boiling.
-The filter must be in place during operation.
-The kettle switches off automatically when the water has boiled. Now
disconnect the kettle from the mains power supply. Always keep the
lid closed when pouring the water out.
-Beware of steam and scalding!

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
1.Remove the plug from wall outlet and let the appliance completely
cool down before cleaning or descaling.
2.Do not immerse power cord, kettle and power base in water or
any other liquids.
3.Clean the exterior surface of the kettle with a damp cloth and then
polish with a soft dry cloth. Do not use steel wool pads or abrasive
cleaners or harsh chemicals to wipe the housing.
4.Periodical descaling is needed. The interval of descaling depends on
the quality of water in your living area and the frequency that you use
the kettle.
5.Before removing or refitting the filter, switch off the kettle and empty
it. Allow it to cool completely, and then unplug the power base from
the mains supply socket. Never operate the kettle without the filter
fitted. The Filter can be detached for easier cleaning simply by
pulling it out and rinsing. Refit the filter back into the kettle.
6.The power cord can be wound around the bottom of the base for
storage.
7.Do not attempt to dismantle the kettle or power base. No user
serviceable parts inside it. In the event of a malfunction, contact your
local qualified service technician for advice.

NOTE: This kettle has an overheating protector in the kettle. In the
event of overheating, such as operating without water in the kettle or
the water being boiled-dry, the kettle will automatically shut down to
prevent further damage.
