USER INFORMATION – MODEL 6100 EARMUFF
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
It is recommended that the wearer should ensure that:
The Earmuffs are fitted, adjusted and maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s
instructions.
The Earmuffs are worn at all times in noisy surroundings.
The Earmuffs are regularly inspected for serviceability.
If the above recommendations are not adhered to, the protection afforded by the Earmuffs will be
severely impaired.
This product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Further information
should be sought from the manufacturer.
Earmuffs and in particular cushions, may deteriorate with use and should be examined at frequent
intervals for cracking and leakage, for example, or other deformations. Replace as necessary.
The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushions may affect the acoustic performance of the Earmuff.
FITTING
Earmuffs must be put on before exposure to noise and should be worn during whole noise
exposure.
With the earmuffs fully extended, position headband directly over the head, pull cups
outward and position over ears, so that they fully enclose the ear and seal tightly against the
head.
Adjust headband to reduce the space between head and band.
For best results, remove all hair, and other objects, from under the cushions. The entire
cushion surface should press firmly, but comfortably, against the head.
