5’ IPT Ready Shape Tree Instructions
Included Parts:
•Pre-lighted Tree Top (section B)
•Bottom Section of Pre-lighted Tree (section A)
•Collapsible Stand with 3 triangular screws attached in a plastic bag.
•Replacement bulbs and fuses.
•Tool to replace bulbs.
Caution – Do not overload: Connect a maximum of three series or series parallel connected lighting strings or
decorative outfits to each load fitting. Do not interconnect different types of products. DO NOT PLUG ITEMS INTO
THE OPEN STRAND SOCKETS. NO OTHER PRODUCTS SHOULD BE PLUGGED INTO THE TREE.
NOTE: if your tree includes flocking, it is recommended to adjust your tree with a sheet under it to help contain the
flocking that comes loose. If your tree includes decorative embellishments, please note that some movement is
incurred during shipping but the beauty of the tree will not be diminished.
Setup Instructions:
NOTE: Because our trees use high grade materials to ensure a long lifetime of beauty, wearing long sleeves and
gloves is recommended to protect your arms and hands from branches.
Step 1: Position and Set-Up Tree Stand
A. Place tree stand in desired location.
B. Unfold tree stand until the legs are perpendicular and the screw holes are aligned.
C. Insert the tree screws into the screw holds and turn 3 – 4 rotations only (if the screws are inserted too far you
will not be able to fully insert the tree pole).
D. Plug the tree stand into an extension cord or wall outlet. If your tree has a foot pedal: To turn on the power
to the tree tap the foot switch once. Once you have the bottom section in the lights will come on. To shut off
the lights tap it again.

Step 2: Insert the Bottom Section into the Tree Stand
A. Remove plastic cap at the end of the metal pole.
B. Locate the notch in the tree stand (use arrow stickers as a guide).
C. Locate the open groove in the bottom section (the bottom section is marked
with “A”). Use arrow stickers as a guide.
D. Insert the bottom tree section (bottom section is marked with “A”) into the
stand making sure that the groove slides into the notch. Arrows will be pointing
to each other. The lights will turn on once it drops into the correct placement.
E. If the lights do not turn on, refer to the Trouble Shooting portion of this
document. Do not drive the section down with force or forcefully turn the
section. Doing so may damage the plugs.
F. Let the hinged branches fall into place.
G. Adjust the branch tips for desired appearance (some people chose to perform this
step when the tree is fully assembled).
H. Tighten screws in stand to secure the tree.
Step 3: Shape the Tree Top and Insert into the Bottom Section
A. Adjust the tips and shape the treetop before inserting into the bottom section.
B. Locate the notch, groove, and arrows as described above.
C. Insert treetop into bottom section (tree top is marked with “B”). Line up the arrows
as described above. The lights will turn on once it drops into the correct placement.
Step 4: Make final adjustments to tree tips and decorate if desired.

Perm-O-Snap Lights
•The lights on this tree have a patented internal lamp lock system that securely holds bulbs in sockets.
•A special tool, shown below, will help safely remove bulbs from sockets. Please be sure to use this tool
instead of grasping and pulling the bulb up which could result in the bulb breaking.
•ALWAYS unplug power supply cord when replacing bulbs and fuses.
Place tool around the lip of the socket as shown:
Using the tool, pull the bulb up and out of the socket:
Safety First:
•Unplug power supply cord when replacing bulbs and fuses.
•NEVER change fuse with the power supply cord plug in wall duplex.
•Replace with GKI/Bethlehem lights only.
•Avoid touching electric carrying parts with sharp or heavy objects.
•Do not plug other products into the tree plugs.
Care Instructions:
•If your tree has incandescent lights, be sure to replace burnt-out bulbs with replacement bulbs (included) as bulbs
burn out. This will extend the life of the remaining bulbs.
•When not in use store in a cool dry location.

Trouble Shooting:
•If a branch or section will not light, check to be sure that all the cords are plugged into the pole. Each section
should be plugged into one socket.
A safety strap has been placed around the plugs to ensure that the plugs do not fall out of the pole during shipping.
This strap easily slides over the plugs to hold them tight. Images shown are for reference only; your tree may differ
slightly.
•If item still fails to light after checking all plugs are plugged in, look for a damaged, missing, or burnt-out bulb.
Replace the bulb with included replacement bulbs.
•If the item still fails to light after checking all plugs are plugged in, check the fuse at the main power cord (plug
that goes directly into the wall socket) – use only 125 volt fuse, 5 amp maximum.
•If your item has a foot pedal, try tapping the foot pedal once to turn on the lights.
Tree Storage:
Step 1: Unplug power cord.
Step 2: Remove decorations.
Step 3: Lift each section directly up.
Step 4: Separate the tree sections (starting at the top). Fold branches up to avoid crushing the tips. You can tie the
branches up to make the sections easier to handle and set up in future years.
Step 5: Unscrew tree stand to release the bottom section. Fold stand and tighten screws back into stand to prevent
losing the screws.
Step 6: Store in cool dry area.
