How to adjust the European adjustable hinges on doors
Shipping may cause doors to go out of alignment. If you find that the doors need to be adjusted slightly,
turn the appropriate screw, as illustrated.
1. TO ADJUST DOOR FORWARD OR BACKWARD.
2. TO ADJUST DOOR TO RIGHT OR TO LEFT.
3. TO ADJUST DOOR UP OR DOWN.

Important
Before you begin: Open, identify and count all parts prior to assembly. Lay out parts on a flat and non-
abrasive surface. You will need the parts identified on page 4 and 5 of this instruction manual.
NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO USE GLUE WITH DOWELS. EXCESS GLUE CAN BE WIPED
OFF WITH DAMP CLOTH.
Insert Dowel at least half way by tapping lightly with a rubber mallet IF NECESSARY.
CAM LOCK SYSTEM OPERATION
HOW THE KNOCK DOWN (KD) ASSEMBLY SYSTEM WORKS
1. Screw Cam Bolt into the pre-drilled small holes on panel. Connect both panels together; making
sure Cam Bolt goes into pre-drilled hole on the end of panel with Cam Lock.
2. Insert Cam Lock into pre-drilled large hole on panel. Make sure arrow on Cam Lock is pointed toward
Cam Bolt.
3. Once Cam Bolt is connected inside Cam Lock, take a Phillips screwdriver and tighten Cam Lock clockwise.
4. Plug Cam Cap into the cross slot of the Cam Locks to conceal the cam.
You are now ready to assemble the KD unit.

Assembly Instructions
1. Unpack the unit and confirm that you have all the hardware and required parts. Assembly the unit on a
carpeted floor or the empty carton to avoid any scratch.
2. Securely screw the Cam Bolts (2) into the designated small holes on the Top Panel (A), Lower Side
Panels (E and F) and Bottom Panel (J) by a Phillips screwdriver, as shown in the illustration.

Assembly Instructions
4. Insert two Wood Dowels (3) into the inner holes of Middle Crossbar Assembly (I). Tap it in with a
rubber mallet, if necessary. Make sure that you use a small amount of glue with both ends of all dowels.
5. Align the drilled holes on the Fixed Shelf (D) with the inserted Wood Dowel (3) on the Middle
Crossbar Assembly (I), and then press them together. Attach the Middle Crossbar Assembly (I) in place
by engaging three Cam Locks (1) (Refer to page 3 on Cam Lock system operation supplement).

6. Align and attach the Bottom Rear Stretcher (L) to the Bottom Panel (J) by using two wood dowels (3)
and three cam locks (1). As shown.
7. Repeat the same procedure to attach the Base Front Molding (K) to the Bottom Panel (J).

8. Insert six Wood Dowels (3) into the large holes of the assembled base at both ends.
9. Align the large holes on Left Lower Side Panel (E) with the inserted Wood Dowels (3) on the
assembled base. Firmly press them together and fasten it in place by engaging three Cam Locks (1).
10. Repeat last step to attach Right Lower Side Panel (F) at the other end.

11. Insert four Wood Dowels (3) into the inner holes of the Lower Partition Panels (G and H) and attach
them to the Bottom Panel (J) by using four 40 mm Wood Screws (6). As shown.

Assembly Instructions
12. Insert eight Wood Dowels (3) into the inner holes on the top edge of the Lower Side Panels and
Partition Panels (E, F, G and H).
13. Ask for assistance to position the Fixed Shelf (D) onto the inserted Wood Dowels (3) with the middle
crossbar assembly facing forward. Attach the Fixed Shelf (D) in place by engaging eight Cam Locks (1).

14. With the pilot holes as a guide, align and attach two Angle Metal Brackets (12) to the front corners of
the assembled base, using four 12 mm Screws (4) per bracket. As shown above.

19. Insert five Wood Dowels (3) into the top inner holes of the Upper Partition Panel (C) and Side Panels
(B). Position the Top Panel (A) onto the inserted Wood Dowels (3) and fasten it in place with six Cam
Locks (1).

Assembly Instructions
20. Fasten the Middle Crossbar Assembly (I) to the stringers of Lower Partition Panels (G and H) by
attaching two Straight Metal Brackets (9) at the joints, using two 12 mm Screws (4) per Bracket.
21. Insert two 25 mm Screws (5) through the countersunk holes on the stringers on Lower Partition Panels
(G and H) and securely screw into the Middle Crossbar Assembly (I) as shown.

Assembly Instructions
22. Pick up the Upper Back Panel (O) and align the pre-drilled holes against the upper long edge with the
pilot holes on the back stretcher of Top Panel (A). Attach the Back Panel (O) in place using the
provided Washer Head Screws (7).
23. Align and attach two Lower Back Panels (P) to the mantel base with the provided Washer Head Screws
(7).

Assembly Instructions
24. Insert four Shelf Pins (15) into the holes at your desired height inside each side compartment. Tilt and
rest the Adjustable Shelves (R) onto the Shelf Pins (15).
25. Plug the Cam Lock Covers (16) onto the visible cams locks to conceal the cams.
