Ensure you have the following:
Phillips Screwdriver, drill bit, drill, pencil, hammer /
mallet, tape measure, level, step ladder, woodsaw,
utility knife and a silicone gun & silicone.

Layout the floor bearers as shown, ensuring you are
placing them on a secure, level and durable base.
Please see the technical document pack for layout
details for your cabin size. Secure with 50mm screws.

Start to build the cabin walls by placing the wall boards at
the back end and the front end as shown. Ensure the
notches are interlocked and fix in place using 70mm screws
on each corner, and 50mm screws on the front two as
shown.

Once the outer frame is assembled, place the
remaining floor bearers as shown, ensuring they are
equally spaced. Fix into position with 50mm screws.

Useful Tip: Sort all fixings and boards prior to starting
assembly, to ensure you have everything you need.
Above you will find a list of all the packs and
instructions to complete your building.

Customer Technical Document: Contains wall elevations, floor,
roof, door and window options, packlists, bill of materials and
building kits.
Packlist - Contains all wall and gable boards, strips,
framings, door and window frames.
Building Kit - Contains nail bag, hinges, door handles,
turn buttons, casement stay, padlock and hasp.

Continue adding the floor board (internally) making
sure to interlock each board. Do NOT secure these
boards until the last board has been measured and
cut.

Place the first floor board inside the building flush to
the log board on one side. Fix the first board in place
using 30mm nails.

To fix the last floor board. Measure the gap between
the bottom of the tongue (on the last board placed)
and the log board. Using a straight edge mark out the
measurement onto the last board and cut to fit.

Once you have assembled the floor, slide the assembled
window frame over the boards, resting the frame on top of
the log board. Ensure this is level and is sitting straight. The
middle support may or may not be pre attached, if not it will
be attached later.

Following the same method as shown in stages 5, 6
and 7 continue to affix the floor boards for the
opposite side of the cabin. Note: Review your
technical document to check floor board lengths.

Build up the cabin wall boards another 4 layers,
ensuring you complete each layer. Use a mallet and a
spare piece of packing wood to make sure all of the
boards are flush, level and fully inserted.

Following the same process in stage 4, lay the next
board levels onto the assembly to finalise the base
walls. Ensure that the boards are level and flush
with each other as you lay each one.

Proceed onto the next layer of the gable, by following
the process in stage 11. Ensure the boards are level
and are interlocking with one another. Fix in place
with 50mm screws.

Place the first gable board on each side wall of the
cabin, followed by the full length front wall board.
Note: Review your technical document to check the
gable boards used.

Place the final gable board as shown, whilst fixing in
place with 50mm screws. Ensure your gable is level
and affixed correctly before proceeding.

To ensure the window frames are secured into
position, affix as shown using 30mm screws. Ensure
your window frame is level before fixing into position.

Begin fixing the framing around all four walls of the
cabin using 30mm screws. These will need cutting to
size, therefore, please review the technical document for
measurements to cut the framing to size.

At this point silicone can be placed down the side of
the roof panels.
Note: Silicone not included.

Continue adding the roof boards along the roof, fixing each
one into position using 30mm nails, making sure that each
board is interlocked. The last board on each will overhang,
measure the length needed to be flush with the purlin.
Remove the board, cut and place back to fix.

Lay the purlins into the slots on the front and rear of the
building, Screw these in place using 50mm screws by
screwing through the board into the purlin on the front and
back.
Please see the technical document for your cabin’s
roof board length. Place the fist roof board onto the
purlin. Once in position, fix to each purlin using 30mm
nails.

Silicone can now be added down the split between the
roofing panels to seal them.
Note: Silicone not included.

Repeat steps 18 and 19 and build the other half of the roof
secure each board in place and cut the ends of the final
board flush before proceeding.

Following the process completed in stage 22, repeat
again with the opposite side door frame. Ensure the
frame sits flush against the log board. Attach the
bottom for the door framing with 30mm nails.

Place the barge boards along the top of the Side
walls, and fix with 30mm screws. Repeat this on the
other side as well. Review the technical document for
measurements to cut the framing to size. .

To begin the door assembly, lay both sides of the
door on a surface. Once set, fix the door hinge in the
locations marked. Affix in place with 30mm screws.

Once you have affixed the door frame on the side of
the opening, slide the upper frame into position as
shown. Once in position, from the inside of the cabin,
fix in place with 30mm screws.

On the interior of the cabin place the closure trim against
the boarding and align with the roof as shown above. Once
in position, fix each trim into place with 30mm nails.
Review the technical document for measurements to cut
the framing to size.

To affix the door frame into position, push the left door
frame up against the wall boards as shown. Before
fixing in place with 30mm screws, ensure the door
frame sits flat on the floor boards.

Place the glazing into the door frame as shown, once
in position, use cardboard to protect the glazing when
fitting the beading around the edges of the glazing.
Fix the beading in place with 30mm nails.

Once the glazing is fixed into position, affix the door
hinges onto the door frame with 30mm screws. Once
complete, affix door handle as shown, using 30mm
screws.

Fix the window opening hinges onto the top frame of
the window. Ensuring you place two hinges on the
top edge with 30mm screws.

Following the process in stage 28, carefully place the
glazing into the window frames and fix the glazing
beading with 30mm nails.

Place the smaller window frame into the frame as shown,
ensuring the frame support beam sits on top of the window
frame. To secure the frame support beam in place, screw in
place with 30mm screws (if not already secured). Once
affixed, fix the window frame with 30mm screws.

To secure the edges around the window frame, place
the window rebates as shown, fix in place using
30mm nails. Review the technical document for
measurements to cut the rebate to size.

Once the lower window is complete. Fix the upper
window frame into position by fixing the hinges as
shown. Screw into position with 30mm screws.
Please ensure the window is level before securing.

To secure the edges around the window frame,
place the window rebates as shown, fix in place
using 30mm nails. Review the technical document
for measurements to cut the rebate to size.

With the windows and door fixed in place correctly, now
seal the edges of the door frame opening edges. Place the
door rebates as shown and fix in place with 30mm nails.

the rebate to size.

Once complete, fix the window casement in the
centre of the window frame, fix in place with 30mm
screws.

To fix the door barrel bolts to the top and bottom of
the door frame, using 30mm screws fix as shown,
whilst using a 28x28mm framing piece to secure the
top barrel bolt lock correctly into position.

To begin to fix the felt to your cabin, cut the felt into
four pieces. Ensuring that for every piece of felt you
cut, you apply an additional 140mm to fold around
the edges of the purlis.

Lay the first roll of felt ensuring the felt is folded over
the edge as shown above. Ensure a 70mm overhang
is maintained over both ends. Fix in place with felt
tacks at 100mm intervals.

Continue to lay the felt onto the cabin’s roof,
following the same process listed in step 40, fix the
felt with felt tacks at 100mm intervals. Ensure an
overhang of 70mm is present on the front edge.

Align the fascia’s with the roof and fix into place
using 30mm nails, making sure to nail through the
fascia into the log boards. Ensure the felt fold behind
the fascia board.

Fold the front of the felt down and line up the facia
board, using 30mm nails, nail directly through the
facia board and into the purlins.

To complete your log cabin, affix the door latch into
place as shown using 30mm screws. Ensure you affix
the door latch on the exterior of the cabin.

Congratulations! You have completed the installation
of your log cabin. Please refer to page 3 of the
instructions for the required building maintenance for
the seasonal timber movement.
