1. Use the 1/2” Set Screws (K) to attach Upright Extensions (J) into the top of
Uprights (I). See Figure 1.
2. Determine the proper placement of the Uprights (I). The front of the Uprights (I)
and Crossbars (B) should be in the same vertical plane as the inside edge of the
goal line. See Figure 2.
3. Layout the Uprights (I) and Crossbar (B) on the ground with the bottom (end
opposite Upright Extensions (J) ) of the Uprights (I) near the location that the holes
will be dug. See Figure 3.
Figure 1

7. Install the Pole Caps (C) on the top of each Upright (I).
4. Using the 3/8” U-bolts (D), 3/8” Flat Washers (E), 3/8” Lock Washers (F) and 3/8” Hex Nuts (G) attach
the Crossbar Adapters (A) loosely to the Uprights (I) approximately 13’ from the bottom of the Uprights
(I) with the Crossbar Adapter (A) mounting tube facing inward. See Figure 3.
5. Slide the Crossbar (B) into the Crossbar Adapters (A) and adjust Crossbar (B) location on the Uprights (I)
so that the top of the Crossbar (B) is exactly 13’ from the lower ends of the Uprights (I). Tighten the
3/8” U-bolts (D).
6. Once you are confident that the Crossbar (B) is positioned properly, and that the Uprights (I) are parallel
to each other, and that the Crossbar (B) is fully engaged into the Crossbar Adapters (A), with the entire
“H” laying flat drill a 7/16” hole through the pilot hole in the Crossbar Adapter (A) and the Crossbar (B).
Install and tighten the 3/8” x 4 1/2” Hex Bolts (H) with 3/8” Flat Washers (E), 3/8” Lock Washers (F) and
3/8” Hex Nuts (G).
8. Accurately locate the position of the holes in the ground. The centerline of the Uprights (I) should be 18’-7
1/2” apart and the front of the Uprights (I) and Crossbars (B) should be in the same vertical plane as the
inside edge of the goal line. The goalpost should be centered on the playing field. See Figure 2 and 3.
9. Dig holes 12” diameter, 36” deep. Bell out the bottom of the hole for best stability. See Figure 2.
11. Mix the concrete according to the directions on the bag. It is advantageous to have the mixture “wet”.
This will increase your working time and allow batches to mix in the hole. Pour the hole to just below
ground level. Insert the Uprights (I) into the concrete while vibrating the concrete to allow it to surround
the Uprights (I) completely. Remember the Uprights (I) must be parallel to each other and perpendicular to
the ground. The top of the Crossbar (B) must be parallel to and 10’ above the playing field.
10. Make sure that you have a broomstick or similar pole to vibrate air pockets and settle the concrete. The
holes will require approximately 4 cubic feet of concrete per hole depending on the exact size you dig. Be
sure to have plenty of concrete before you start to ensure proper strength of footings.
12. Brace with lumber if necessary while concrete cures.
13. Clean excess concrete from the Uprights (I). Check and re-check the Uprights (I) for parallel and level
before the concrete sets. Let the concrete cure 72 hours minimum before playing. The only adjustment
possible after concrete is cured is to move the Crossbar (B) up or down to level and achieve official 10’
height.
