Thank you for having purchased a Bluenote® product.
Introduction
With Bluenote® products you enter a new dimension. Bluenote® is the new way of
listening to music. Bluenote® is a range of products of prestigious and sophisticated
Italian design featuring unique and innovative technical and aesthetic
characteristics. The DEMIDOFF is a single ended Multi Transformer solid state
stereo integrated amplifier.
As with all DEMIDOFF series, the is 60% handcrafted to maximize performance
in any single stage of the manufacturing process.
The DEMIDOFF uses the finest version of the Mirror-Amp™ pre-amp section.
It consist of a gain stage made with a proprietary special cascode differential
amplifier employing a mirror current. This configuration produces a super-linear signal, virtually eliminating distortion.
The power supply is managed by 5massive transformers specifically made for Bluenote. To preserve the sonic performance, the smallest
transformer is galvanically isolated from all the others and is dedicated to power two separate boards to control only the necessary functions
such as the motor of volume control, the checking relays, the power ON led light and the Vu-Meter fluorescent lights.
The Four large custom Golden transformers work as “pure” power energy suppliers they have two special capacitor filtering boards,
mechanically isolated, designed to filter the DC power coming into the Mirror-Amp™ preamplifier section.
All strategic power & audio sections are wired with the RSC™ bars (Rectangular Solid Copper bars). The RSC™ bar is a 6mm wide by 0,5mm
thick electrolytic 99,9999% OFC copper bar provides a super conductive rail with the lowest skin effect obtainable.
As with all Bluenote amplifier the DEMIDOFF does not have any active or passive filters or protective switches on the audio signal path. .
Instead, Bluenote designed specific passive thermal switches, that would shut off the amplifier power when the internal temperature reaches
80°Celsius (180°Fahrenheit). This offer adequate protection for dangerous operating conditions and enables the amplifier to produce its best
sonic performance.
The chassis is made of aluminium and stainless steel to minimize RFI and EMI interferences, thus having a completely non-magnetic
environment.
The DEMIDOFF amplifier is equipped with two high precision blue fluorescent Vu-Meters and remote control for volume, both powered with a
dedicated transformer to avoid any interference on the signal path that could affect the sound.
The DEMIDOFF has a wide range of inductive and resistance values so it can be matched with any kind of audio cable allowing users to employ
their favourite cable combination.

The extensive use of custom built electronic components ensures a very high level of sonic performance.
The DEMIDOFF is the first Bluenote STATE OF THE ART amplifier.

Positioning of the DEMIDOFF Integrated Amplifier
The DEMIDOFF integrated amplifier has been designed for use in Hi-Fi systems in sheltered locations. It ought therefore to be protected from
any eventual variations in temperature and humidity. Avoid using in the vicinity of radiators or other strong heat sources, electrical and
electronic motors, switched on mobile phones etc.
The location in proximity of other audio components is not theoretically critical, but you should nevertheless pay attention to this. If it should
have to be moved after the installation, certain readjustments may need to be made. In any case, take care to switch OFF and detach the AC
power chord from the AC wall plug the DEMIDOFF integrated amplifier every time you need to move it.
The high weight of the amplifier is not suitable to be positioned on any other components of the hi-fi system.
Operating Conditions
Once it has been correctly mounted and wired with its AC power Chord, and once the unit is be en wired to a line input of the amplifier with a
proper interconnect cable, your DEMIDOFF integrated amplifier is ready for use. TO PREVENT HIGH QUALITY SOUND
PERFORMANCES THE DEMIDOFF DOES NOT HAVE ANY OUTPUT PROTECTION. SHORT CIRCUIT OR WRONG SPEAKERS

(BELOW THAN 4 OHMS) MATCHING IRREMEDIABLY DAMAGE THE AMPLIFIER OUTPUT BOARDS AND THE OTHER UNITS
CONNECTED TO IT.
THE UNIT IS PROVIDED WITH THERMAL SWITCHES PUT ON BOTH CHANNELS HEAT SINKS AND POWER
TRANSFORMERS. BEFORE THE UNIT REACHES A DANGEROUS TEMPERATURES IT TURNS OFF AUTOMATICALLY UNTIL IT
WILL COOL DOWN TO A REGULAR OPERATING TEMPERATURE LEVEL.
IF THE UNIT TURNS OFF DURING PLAYING SWITCH IT OFF AND WAIT 30/60 MINUTES. SWITCH ON AGAIN A CHECK
EVERYTHING IS BACK NORMAL BEFORE CALLING ASSISTANCE FOR SERVICE.
NOTE: Never disassemble any part of the product for any reason whatsoever. The DEMIDOFF integrated amplifier could be
irreparably damaged and the guarantee would be invalidated.

Volume Control
The volume control of this unit is made with an high quality potentiometer made by ALPS. It is very precise and its error track ability is very
low. Besides it is made with such materials that render its durability far superior with many other potentiometers on the market. The remote
volume control with its proper electronic board and power transformer (to avoid any kind of interferences on signal path) works directly on a
DC motors positioned on the back of the pontentiometer to avoid the use of electronic controllers can reduce sound quality.
Becarefull during the remote use: the remote moves the volume very slowly when the triggers UP or DOWN are mainteined
pushed.
Vu-Meters
The DEMIDOFF has 2 separately powered Vu-Meters. The Vu-Meters are fluorescent lighted both with its proper internal power transformer.
Both are connected to a specific transformer to decouple them from the D.S. electronic boards transformers having the best possible

decoupling. The Vu-Meters are extremely precise they do not need any adjustment. ATTENTION: If the Vu-meter needle stays to much at
maximum level or receive to much power its internal coil can be burned.

Warranty Certificate
The warranty certificate is enclosed separately and to be valid must be completed fill and returned to Bluenote factory or the official
distribution. In all countries where there is an official distribution network, the dealer must stamp the warranty certificate. In compliance with
the laws in force, the dealer may modify the official Bluenote warranty certificate wholly or partially without notice and without further
mention being made in this instruction manual.
Customer Service

All Bluenote® products are the result of meticulous technological research, and consequently their correct functioning is guaranteed. In spite
of this it is possible that problems may emerge which non-specialist users cannot resolve. In this case, contact your dealer who will advise you
on how to resolve the problem.
Do not return any object directly to the factory or to the national distributor or without being authorized to do so. In such cases both
Bluenote® and the distribution agents operating within your territory decline responsibility of any kind.
