Battery Installation for the Power Backup – Requires 2 AAA Batteries
In the case of a Power failure, the Power backup will keep the Clock & Alarm times
accurate until the main power has been restored.
NOTE: the product will operate properly with or without batteries except in the case of
power loss.
•Open the Battery Cover on the bottom of the unit
•Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included) following the +/- polarity as indicated in the
compartment.
•Close the Battery Cover.
IMPORTANT:
•Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly
•Wrong polarity (+ or -) may damage the unit and void the warranty
•For best performance and longer operating time, we recommend using good
quality Super Alkaline type batteries
CAUTION:
•Do not mix old and new batteries
•Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium)
batteries.
•If the unit is not going to be used for an extended period of time, remove the
batteries from the unit.
•Old or leaking batteries can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty.
•Do not dispose of batteries in fire as batteries may explode or lead
IMPORTANT:
•This unit operates on AC 120V~60Hz
•Do not attempt to operate this unit on any other power source. You could cause
damage to the unit and void your warranty.
•Please be sure the power outlet you plug this unit into is working and receives
constant unswitched power.

POWER
1. Plug the attached AC power cord into an AC 120V~60Hz wall outlet.
2. Press the Power button (11) on the main unit, or on the Remote (22).
VOLUME
•Increase Volume: Press the Volume + button (17) on the main unit, or on the
Remote (33).
•Decrease Volume: Press the Alarm / Volume- button (16) on the main unit, or the
Volume- button on the Remote (34).
PAIRING A BLUETOOTH DEVICE
Before using a Bluetooth device you must first Pair the device with the BS030MS.
1. Turn your Bluetooth device OFF entirely and then turn it back ON to refresh the
device’s Bluetooth Memory.
2. Find the Bluetooth menu on your device and make sure the Bluetooth function is
turned ON. (Refer to your device’s user manual for instructions on finding the
Bluetooth menu)
3. Press the Source button (10) or (23) repeatedly until “bt” is shown on the LCD
Display (18). Note: The “bt” will be blinking until a device successfully pairs.
4. On your device perform a Bluetooth “device discovery” to add the BS030MS as a
new device.
5. When the BS030MS is discovered your device will display “BS030MS” in the
Bluetooth menu. Click/Tap on the “BS030MS” to pair.
6. If your Bluetooth device asks for a password enter “0000” and the device will now
pair with the BS030MS and be ready to use. The “bt” on the LCD Display (18) will
stop blinking.
7. If supported by your device, set the BS030MS as “authorized” in the Bluetooth
menu.
NOTE: most Bluetooth devices will automatically connect the next time the device is
placed close enough, and the BS030MS is in Bluetooth mode. If you wish to unpair a
device, you can either use the Bluetooth menu on your device, or press and hold the
Play/Pause/Pair button on the main unit (12) or the Pair button on the Remote (24).
This will unpair the current device and allow for a new device to be paired following the
instructions listed above.
LISTENING TO A BLUETOOTH DEVICE
After successfully pairing your Bluetooth device with the BS030MS, you can begin playing
music simply by choosing the song you wish to hear on your device’s menu system (refer
to your device’s user manual for instructions on playing music).
•To Play or Pause music press the Play/Pause/Pair button on the main unit (12) or
the Play/Pause button on the Remote (32).
•To Skip to the Next song press the Next/Fast Forward button (14) or (29).
•To Skip to the Previous song press the Previous/Rewind button (13) or (30).
NOTE: All Playback controls (Play, Pause, Skip +/-, etc.) can also be controlled directly

on your Bluetooth device.
PLAYING A CD
1. Press the Source button (10) or (23) repeatedly until the BS030MS enters CD
mode.
2. Lightly press down on the CD Door (8) to open the door.
3. Insert a CD with the label side facing Up.
4. Gently close the CD Door (8).
5. Press the Play/Pause/Pair button on the main unit (12) or the Play/Pause button
on the Remote (32) to start CD playback from the first track.
6. Press the Play/Pause/Pair button on the main unit (12) or the Play/Pause button
on the Remote (32) again to momentarily Pause playback. When you are ready to
resume listening press the same button again.
7. To Stop playback, press the Stop/Dimmer button on the main unit (15) or the Stop
button on the Remote (31).
SKIPPING TRACKS
•During CD playback, press the Next/Fast Forward button (14) or (29) to skip to
the Next track.
•Press the Previous / Rewind button (13) or (30) to skip to the previous track.
SEARCHING TRACKS
•During CD playback, press and hold the Next/Fast Forward button (14) or (29) to
Fast Forward through the current track.
•Press and hold the Previous/Rewind button (13) or (30) to Rewind through the
current track.
PROGRAMMED CD PLAYBACK
1. Up to 20 tracks can be programmed to play in any desired sequence.
2. Press the Program button (36) until “PROG” flashes in the LCD display.
3. Press the Next/Fast Forward button (14) or (29) or the Previous/Rewind button
(13) or (30) to select a desired track to be programmed.
4. Press the Program button (36) to program the track.
5. Repeat steps 3 & 4 to program additional tracks.
6. When all of the tracks have been programmed press the Play/Pause/Pair button
on the main unit (12) or the Play/Pause button on the Remote (32) to start CD
playback from the first track of your program.
7. To cancel program playback, press the Stop/Dimmer button on the main unit (15)
or the Stop button on the Remote (31) twice to clear the program and return to
normal track sequence playback.

REPEAT & RANDOM PLAY
• To Repeat a Single Track
o Press the Repeat/Random button (35) while the track you want to repeat is
playing. “REP” will appear in the LCD Display (18).
o To cancel repeat play, press the Repeat/Random button (35) three times
until the “REP” disappears.
• To Repeat All Tracks
o Press the Repeat/Random button (35) twice during playback. “REP ALL” will
appear in the LCD Display (18).
o To cancel repeat play, press the Repeat/Random button (35) twice times
until the “REP” disappears.
• To Play Tracks in Random Order
o Press the Repeat/Random button (35) three times during playback. “RAND”
will appear in the LCD Display (18).
o To cancel random play, press the Repeat/Random button (35) one time until
the “RAND” disappears.
NOTE: Repeat & Random modes can also be cancelled by pressing the
Stop/Dimmer button on the main unit (15) or the Stop button on the Remote (31).
USING THE AUX INPUT
1. Connect a 3.5mm stereo audio cable from the headphone jack or other audio
output on your device into the AUX IN Jack (4). Press the Source button (10) or
(23) repeatedly until “AUX” is shown on the LCD Display (18) .
2. Adjust the volume control on the connected device to an acceptable level.
3. Use the controls of the connected device to control audio playback (Play, Pause,
etc.)
NOTE: when you are finished using the AUX function, it is recommended to
unplug the 3.5mm stereo audio cable from the AUX IN Jack (4).
LISTENING TO AM/FM RADIO
1. Press the Source button (10) or (23) repeatedly to select the radio function
indicated by “RAD” on the LCD Display (18).
2. Press the Band button (28) on the remote to switch between AM & FM. You can
also select either AM or FM modes by using the Source button (10) or (23).
3. Turn the Tuning Knob (19) to select the desired radio station.
ANTENNAS
The AM antenna is built-in to the cabinet of the BS030MS. To improve reception you must
move the entire unit.

The FM antenna (3) is located on the rear of the unit. To improve reception move the
position the antenna until reception improves. It may be necessary to move the entire unit
to a new location (ex: near a window) for reception to improve.
SETTING THE CLOCK
1. Turn the unit power OFF before setting the time.
2. To set the time, press the Clock Set/Sleep button (9) on the main unit or the Time
Display/Set button on the Remote (26). The Hour number will begin blinking.
3. Use the Next/Fast Forward button (14) or (29) or the Previous/Rewind button
(13) or (30) to find the correct hour and then press the Clock Set/Sleep button (9)
on the main unit or the Time Display/Set button on the Remote (26) to enter. The
Minutes number will begin blinking.
4. Use the Next/Fast Forward button (14) or (29) or the Previous/Rewind button
(13) or (30) to find the correct minutes and then press the Clock Set/Sleep button
(9) on the main unit or the Time Display/Set button on the Remote (26) to enter.
The time is now set.
SETTING THE ALARM
1. Turn the unit power OFF before setting the alarm.
2. Press the Alarm / Volume- button (16) on the main unit, or the Alarm button on
the Remote (25). The Hour number will begin blinking.
3. Use the Next/Fast Forward button (14) or (29) or the Previous/Rewind button
(13) or (30) to find the correct hour and then press the Alarm / Volume-button (16)
on the main unit, or the Alarm button on the Remote (25) to enter. The Minutes
number will begin blinking.
4. Use the Next/Fast Forward button (14) or (29) or the Previous/Rewind button
(13) or (30) to find the correct minutes and then press the Alarm / Volume- button
(16) on the main unit, or the Alarm button on the Remote (25) to enter.
5. Use the Next/Fast Forward button (14) or (29) or the Previous/Rewind button
(13) or (30) to choose which type of alarm you would like to set from the list below.
a. “BU” is the Buzzer Alarm
b. “RAD” is the Radio Alarm. (Make sure the Radio is tuned to the station you
wish to use for the alarm)
c. “CD” is the CD Alarm. (Make sure the CD you wish to use for the alarm is
inserted. The alarm will begin with the first track)
6. Press the Alarm / Volume- button (16) on the main unit, or the Alarm button on
the Remote (25) to enter and finalize the alarm setting. You will see a new icon
(Bell – for Buzzer, Antenna – for Radio, or Music Note – for CD) in the LCD Display
that indicates that an alarm is set.
7. To cancel an alarm, first turn the unit OFF entirely. Then press and hold the Alarm
/ Volume- button (16) on the main unit, or the Alarm button on the Remote (25)
unitl the icon (Bell – for Buzzer, Antenna – for Radio, or Music Note – for CD) in the

LCD Display disappears.

LIMITED 90-DAY WARRANTY
We warrant this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use
for a ninety-day period from the original date of purchase from an authorized BLUESTREAM
dealer.
Should you be missing any of the included accessories or other components (screws, pieces,
etc.), please contact the Customer Support Center to secure a replacement. It is not necessary to
bring the unit back to the store. When calling, please reference the parts list found in the
Instruction Manual to help us accurately identify the missing parts and promptly provide
replacements.
We will replace the unit free of charge should it become defective under this warranty, providing
you, the original purchaser, have your original dated sales receipt.
To obtain warranty service or replacement within the ninety-day warranty period, please return
the product with all parts and accessories along with your original dated store receipt to the
original place of purchase and the unit will be exchanged at no charge. It is not necessary to
contact the manufacturer for warranty replacement.

This warranty applies only under conditions of normal use. Our products are not intended for
outdoor use.
There are no consumer serviceable parts contained in this product and any attempt by the owner
to service or repair the unit will immediately void all warranty coverage.
This warranty does not cover any product which has been subject to damage due to an act of
nature, misuse, neglect, accident, abuse, commercial use, or modification of, or to, any part of the
product, including the antenna. Damage to any external media such as smartphones, tablets,
memory storage and/or other devices are not covered nor is the cost incurred in shipping the
unit for warranty repair or exchange. Under no circumstances shall BLUESTREAM be liable for
any loss (direct, indirect, incidental, foreseen, unforeseen, special or consequential) or for any
damage arising out of, or in connection with, the use of this product.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL BLUESTREAM BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
This warranty does not cover re-manufactured, refurbished, or repaired units, or any products
sold 'As Is'.
This warranty is valid only to the original purchaser of the Product in the United States and
Canada and grants specific legal rights.
