02. TECHNICAL FEATURES
SPECIFICATIONS TO ASSEMBLE YOUR CARRIER
WARNING
• This carrier must not be mounted to bicycles fitted with rear
shock absorbers.
• This carrier must not be mounted to MotorizedVehicles such
as Mopeds and Scooters.
• This carrier must not be mounted to bicycles with triangular,
square or carbon fiber or titanium frames.
• This carrier must be assembled on bicycles with round and
oval frames with diameters ranging from Ø28 to Ø40 mm.
• The carrier must be assembled on bicycles with wheels with
diameters of 26”, 27,5“ and 28”.
• This carrier is only suitable for carrying children with a maxi-
mum weight of 40 lbs - 18 Kg (USA) (and children with rec-
ommended ages ranging from 1 to 5 years of age - with the
weight as the decisive variable).
• The total weight of the cyclist and the child transported must
not exceed the maximum permitted load permitted for the
bicycle. Information on the maximum load can be found in
the operating instructions of the bicycle.You can also contact
the manufacturer for this question.
How and where the carrier is to be attached to the bicycle.
• The carrier may only be mounted on a bicycle suitable for the
attachment of such additional loads.
• The position of the carrier must be adjusted so that the bicy-
cle rider does not touch the carrier with the feet when in
motion.
• It’s very important to adjust correctly the carrier and its com-
ponent parts for optimum comfort and safety of the child. It’s
also important that the carrier does not slope forward so that
the child does not tend to slide out of it. It’s also important
that the backrest slope backward slightly.
• Check if all the parts of the bicycle function correctly with the
carrier mounted.
• The bicycle to which the carrier is attached must be in good
working order, of a type appropriate for the additional load,
and of proper size and adjustment for the rider. Check the
bicycle user manual or the bicycle manufacturer to obtain
information and to make sure the bicycle model is appropri-
ate to carry a bicycle carrier according to these characteris-
tics.

FITTING THE CARRIER ON THE BICYCLE
Remove the frame holder (K) from the metallic support
bar (N). To do that, you should press the release button
(K3) and simultaneously pull the metallic support bar (N)
up.
Unscrew the frame holder screws (K1). Use the key (H6).

Place the front frame holder (K2) on the front bicycle frame. Insert 4 screws (K1) in the frame holder to tighten the rear frame
holder (K4), so that the height can be adjusted later. The correct positioning of the frame holder (K) is extremely important.
Make sure the frame holder (K) is positioned in the bicycle frame according to the picture (1).

Tighten the screws, with the key (H6), so that the frame
holder (K) is secured but not fully tightened so that, if
necessary, you can adjust the height later. However, note
that it should be tight to make it easier to complete the
next step. You need to tighten the 4 screws diagonally
and in 2 stages.

Center and adjust the metallic mounting bar (N) at a
height above the rear wheel, so that later, when you add
the weight of the child, the child carrier (A) does not
touch the wheel. Note that the metallic support bar (N)
should be positioned at a maximum of 3.94 in/ 10cm
away from the wheel. Never use the metallic support bar
(N) to carry other loads than this child seat, as indicated in
this manual.

Place the edges of the metallic support bar (N) at the
holes of the frame holder (K) until you hear a click
indicating the lock, and until the release button (K3) shall
be level with the exterior of the hose frame holder (K).

To remove the rack attachment system (H) of the child
carrier you have to open the carrier mounting brackets
(L), pressing one of the brackets, pressing down the
button and pulling out. With the other hand you have to
pull out the rack attachment system (H), and finally press
and pull the other side bracket (L) to completely remove
the rack attachment system (H).

You shall release the metallic clamps (H2). You can use the Allen key no. 5 (H6) provided. Unscrew (relieve only) in diagonal
two opposite screws (H1) in the rack attachment system (H), as shown in the picture.Then do the same for the 2 screws (H3).
The application of protective clamps (H4) is mandatory on the metallic clamps (H2).

Then put the rack attachment system (H) on the metallic support bar (N). Note that the rack attachment system, when
assembled on the metallic support bar (N), should be centered. Note that when you tighten the rack attachment system it
could move to the right or left. If this happens, center it again. The centering of the rack attachment system (H) against the
metallic support bar (N) is extremely important for the child’s safety.The rack attachment system (H) is symmetrical. It´s very
important that you don´t assembly the metallic clamps (H2) over the limiters, indicated on the picture as (N1). The pair of
metallic clamps must be placed between those limiters (N1). This space is indicated on the picture with an arrow. It´s
forbidden to apply the front metallic clamps (H2) outside of this area.

Once you have applied the rack attachment system (H) properly centered and the metallic clamps (H2) are properly
positioned between limiters of the metallic support (N1), you should tighten the screws (H1) so that when finally tightening,
the rack attachment system is properly centered in relation to the metallic support bar (N). It is very important that the rack
attachment system is centered when applied on the metallic support bar (N).
When you tighten the rack attachment system it could move to the right or left. Note that you should always be placed it at
the center of the metallic support bar (N).
Now, you must tighten the 2 screws (H3), and then the 4 Screws (H1) in cross.You must tighten it with the necessary strength
so the base would be well fixed to the carrier and do not move at all. We recommend a torque of 6 N.m.

Next step is to fasten the child carrier (A) to the rack attachment system (H). This is an important step to ensure the safety of
the child and the cyclist, so you should make sure to comply strictly with the following instructions. Place the child carrier (A)
as seen in the picture, so that you can insert the safety metallic device (J) of the child carrier (A) and secure it in the insertion
opening for the metallic protection system (H5), marked by the blue arrow. After assuring that it is properly fixed, push down
the child carrier (A), in order to secure it to the rack attachment system (H).
The child carrier will be properly locked to the rack attachment system after you hear a click on both sides, on both
carrier mounting brackets (L), also marked with two blue arrows.

After adjusting the height and positioning of the carrier,
hand tighten the frame holder (K) to ensure that it cannot
move. This tightening is extremely important for the
safety of the child. Make sure that the frame holder (K) is
firmly attached. You need to tighten the 4 bolts (K4)
diagonally, with the same force and in stages - we
recommend a torque of 6 N.m.
The carrier has a center of gravity (F) that must be
positioned in front of the rear wheel axle. If it is positioned
behind the axle, the distance must not exceed 10 cm /
3.94 in. If the gravity centre stays at a higher distance,
place again the rack attachment system (H) at the metallic
support bar (N). Centre and adjust the frame holder (K) at
a height above the rear wheel, so that later, when you add
the weight of the child, the carrier does not touch the
wheel. Note that the frame holder (K) should be
positioned at a maximum of 10 cm / 3.94 in away from the
wheel. These steps are extremely important for child and
cyclist safety. Check the safety of the fasteners regularly.
Pass the harness to bicycle frame (C) around the bicycle
frame tube. Adjust it as shown in the picture, under
tension. Make sure the unused portion of the belt is not
in contact with the wheel, because it can lock the rear
wheel and cause an accident. This step is extremely
important for a child’s safety.

Make sure you have followed all the prior instructions. If
you have followed them correctly the carrier should look
like the pictures above.When done so, the carrier is ready
for use. IT IS MANDATORY TO READ the chapter on
Caution (06) and Instructions for Use (07) about using
your carrier before using it.

SEATING THE CHILD ON THE CARRIER EN
To put the child into the carrier you must first loosen the
retention system harness. First, extend the belt straps (B3)
to the maximum by pressing the upper strap adjustment
button (B2), then pull it up. This will simplify the
placement of the retention system harness (B) when the
child is in the child carrier. We recommend that the child's
helmet must be placed on after the retention system
harness is adjusted.
Next adjust the retention system harness (B) to the size of
the child to ensure that the child is firmly secured. First
adjust the height of the retention system harness (B). To
do this, pull the belt straps (B3) according to the size of
the child. Before starting the journey, always check that
the child is secured and that the retention system harness
is snug but not so tight that it hurts the child.
To complete this step and ensure that the child is safe,
adjust the lower lap belt adjuster (B4) according to the
size of the child, sliding it up or down.
To place the child in the child carrier, first undo the
retention system harness. Start by pressing the releases
on the sides of the safety buckle (M1) and pull the safety
buckle (M) upwards, so that it slides out of the socket
(M2). Place the child in the child carrier. lnsert the safety
buckle (M) in its socket again (M2). Make sure that the
buckle socket (M2) is correctly positioned and does not
hurt the child.

After the final adjustment of the belt, check that the
shoulder straps (B1) are not too close to the child’s neck
to avoid hurting them. The straps should be positioned
slightly above the shoulders, as shown in the picture
above. To increase your child's safety, adjust the footrest strap
(D1) of the footrest.This strap helps maintain your child's
feet and legs stay safely within the footrest and must be
used before moving. Unlock the footrest strap (D) and
adjust it to the child's foot. Lock it again making sure the
strap does not hurt the child or is so tight that it restricts
your child foot movement in the footrests.

Adjust the height of the footrest according to the size of
the child. To do this, raise the lever (D2) and slide it up or
down for the required height. After deciding on the
correct height, lower the lever (D2) to lock in place.
Note - The chosen position should cause the child’s knee
to be slightly straighter rather than bent, a more
comfortable position.

Uncouple the harness to bicycle frame (C) in order to
remove the carrier.
Press the carrier mounting brackets (L) and pull both of
them out. At the same time, pull the child carrier (A) up
and back.

• The bicycle to which the carrier is attached must be in good
working order, of a type appropriate for the additional load,
and of proper size and adjustment for the rider. Check the
bicycle user manual or the bicycle manufacturer to obtain
information and to make sure the bicycle model is appropri-
ate to carry a bicycle carrier according to these characteris-
tics.
• Tighten fasteners securely, and check them frequently.
• Do not carry a child who is too young to sit comfortably and
independently in the carrier. (A pediatrician should be con-
sulted before any child younger than one year is carried, or if
the child has any disabilities.)
• Ensure initially, and check from time to time, that the child’s
weight does not exceed the load limit of the carrier.
• Additional luggage or accessories should not be attached to
the carrier, as they may exceed the load limit, and may lessen
stability. Total load limit for the carrier is 18 kg (40 lbs).
• Make no modifications to the carrier other than as set forth in
this manual.
• Do not allow any of the child’s body, clothing, shoelaces, or
toys to come in contact with moving parts of the bicycle.
• Always attach the retention system snugly around the child.
• When no child is being carried, fasten the retention system
buckles so the straps do not hang loosely.
• Ensure the rider and child are wearing approved bicycle hel-
mets (CPSC, ASTM F1447 or Snell) .
• Check your local city, country or state laws relating to the
carrying of children in carriers attached to bicycles.
• The rider must be at least 16 years of age; Check your local
city, country or state laws pertaining to this issue.
• Make sure that the weight of the child and items in the stor-
age area does not exceed the maximum capacity of the child
seat or the rack, and check this at regular intervals. Check the
weight of the child before using the CARRIER. Under no cir-
cumstances should you use the carrier to transport a child
whose weight is above the permissible limit. Do not use the
child carrier to carry any pets or objects other than a properly
sized child.
• Never ride in inclement or hazardous conditions.
• A load of a carrier may lessen the stability and alter the riding
characteristics of the bicycle, particularly regarding steering
and braking.
• Never leave the child unattended in the carrier.
• Never leave the child in a carrier with the bicycle supported
only by a kickstand.
• A rear reflector that complies with CPSC regulations must be
visible whether the carrier is on the bicycle or not.
• Before each ride, ensure the mounted carrier does not inter-
fere with braking, pedaling, or steering of the bicycle.
• Never ride the bicycle at night without adequate lighting.
• Always remove the carrier from the bicycle when the bicycle
is being transported on a motor vehicle. This is necessary be-
cause the force of the high wind on the carrier may degrade
or damage the carrier to the point that it will not perform
reliably.
• Presence of a carrier on a bicycle may require alteration of the
method used by the rider to mount or dismount the bicycle.
Care must be taken whenever the rider gets on or off the bi-
cycle.
• Do not allow the child to hold or carry anything while in the
carrier as if dropped it could interfere with the movement of
the bicycle or injure your child or both.
• Secure the child into carrier ensuring that all the retention
belts and straps applied firmly but not so tight as to cause
discomfort to the child. Please check the tightness of the
fasteners during the ride and each time the child in put in or
taken out of the carrier during the ride.
• The carrier must never be used before adjusting the retention
belts.

• A wheel protector is recommended for the rear wheel to
prevent the child from inserting its feet or hands between
the spokes. Contact your local bicycle retailer for more in-
formation or contact http://bit.ly/bobike-usa. Make sure
to use saddle without coil springs as your Childs fingers/
hands can be severely damaged if they get their fingers/
hands into these springs.
• Insure that carrying the child will not interfere with the rear
brakes. These safety issues should be revised as your child
grows.
• Dress the child in proper clothes according to weather condi-
tions. Carried children need to be more warmly dressed than
riders of cycles and should be protected from rain, and from
temperatures below freezing that could cause the child to
suffer frostbite. Always insure that none of your child’s cloth-
ing or shoes can become entangle with any part of the bicy-
cle.
• You must cover any sharp or pointy objects,“pinch points” or
body part entrapment areas on the bicycle that could be
reached by the child.
• The carrier and cushion can get hot if under the sun for a long
time. Make sure that they are not too hot before carrying the
child.
• Check if all parts of the bicycle function correctly with the
carrier mounted.
To keep the carrier in good working condition and to prevent accidents we recommend the following:
• Check regularly the mounting system of the carrier to the bicycle in order to make sure it is in perfect condition.
• Before any ride, check all the components to see if they work properly. Do not use the carrier if any of the components are
damaged. Damaged components must be replaced. In order to replace them, you need to contact your local dealer in order to
get the correct components for replacement. You can find all the contacts on the website: http://bit.ly/bobike-usa
• If you have suffered an accident with your bicycle and carrier, we advise you to get a new carrier. Even if there is no visible
damage to the carrier.
• Clean the carrier with soap and water (do not use abrasive, corrosive or toxic products). Leave it to dry at room temperature.
• The bicycle to which the carrier is attached must be in good
working order, of a type appropriate for the additional load,
and of proper size and adjustment for the rider. Check the
bicycle user manual or the bicycle manufacturer to obtain
information and to make sure the bicycle model is appropri-
ate to carry a bicycle carrier according to these characteris-
tics.
• Do not use the carrier if any part is broken or damaged. Check
all components regularly and replace any when required.
Check the maintenance chapter.
• The rider and the child should wear helmets that have been
approved to nationally recognized standards.
• Failure to comply with these operating instructions can lead
to serious injury or death of the bicycle operator and/or child.
Polisport is not liable for any damage to the product or per-
sons resulting from improper installation, storage, or assem-
bly (non-compliance with assembly instructions), improper
maintenance, misuse or use not in compliance with the tech-
nical or use specifications (non-compliance with mainte-
nance and care instructions), modifications or repairs made
by you or a third party.

POLISPORT LIMITED WARRANTY
Polisport warrants to the original retail purchaser (“you”) that the Polisport product for which you received this warranty is free
from defects in material and workmanship for (3) three years from the date of original retail purchase. Please see the current full

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
This warranty does not cover the following:
Products that have been modified, neglected or poorly maintained, used for commercial purposes, misused or abused
or involved in accidents. It is your responsibility to regularly examine the product to determine the need for normal service or
replacement.
Damage occurring during shipment of the products (such claims must be presented directly to the shipper).
Products whose serial number or other identifying marks or labels have been altered, defaced or removed.
Products whose original product decals or surface finish/paint have been removed or modified.
Products that are purchased used, or in not-new condition without original packaging.
Products that are returned in an incomplete condition (i.e. parts missing)
Damage to products resulting from improper assembly or repair (or the techniques used), the use or installation of parts or
accessories not compatible with the original intended use of the product, or the failure to follow the product warnings,
installation and usage instructions.

ESPECIFICACIONES PARA EL MONTAJE DE LA SILLA
ADVERTENCIA
• Esta silla no se puede montar en bicicletas que tengan amor-
tiguadores traseros.
• Esta silla no se puede montar en vehículos motorizados,
como ciclomotores y escúteres.
• Esta silla no debe montarse en bicicletas con cuadros trian-
gulares, cuadrados o de fibra de carbono o titanio.
• Esta silla se puede instalar en bicicletas con cuadros redon-
dos u ovalados de diámetros comprendidos entre los 28 y
los 40 milímetros.
• La silla debe instalarse en bicicletas con ruedas de 26, 27,5 o
28 pulgadas de diámetro.
• Esta silla solo es apta para transportar niños con un peso
máximo de 40 lbs - 18 kg (USA) (y niños con edades reco-
mendadas entre 1 y 5 años, siendo el peso una variable deci-
siva).
• La suma del peso del conductor y del niño transportado no
puede ser superior a la carga máxima permitida de la bicicle-
ta. La información sobre la carga máxima se encuentra en las
instrucciones de uso de la bicicleta. En caso de dudas, pónga-
se en contacto con el fabricante.
Cómo y dónde fijar la silla a la bicicleta.
• La silla únicamente se puede montar en bicicletas aptas para
añadir cargas adicionales.
• La posición de la silla se tiene que adaptar de modo que los
pies del conductor de la bicicleta no entren en contacto con
la silla mientras esté en marcha.
• Es muy importante ajustar correctamente la silla y sus com-
ponentes para conseguir el máximo confort y seguridad para
el niño. Asimismo, es importante que la silla no se incline
hacia adelante, para que el niño no se escurra. También es
importante que el respaldo esté ligeramente inclinado hacia
atrás.
• Compruebe que todos los componentes de la bicicleta fun-
cionan correctamente cuando monte l silla.
• La bicicleta en la que se fije la silla tiene que estar en buen
estado de funcionamiento, ha de ser adecuada para trans-
portar carga adicional y tiene que tener el tamaño y la regu-
lación adecuados para el ciclista. Consulte el manual de ins-
trucciones de la bicicleta o al fabricante si desea más
información y para asegurarse de que el modelo de bicicleta
es adecuado para fijar una silla con estas características.

03. INSTRUCCIONES DE MONTAJE
CÓMO MONTAR LA SILLA EN LA BICICLETA
Retire el anclaje del cuadro (K) de la barra metálica de
soporte (L). Para ello, hay que pulsar el botón de fijación
(K3) y tirar simultáneamente de la barra metálica de
soporte (L) hacia arriba.
Afloje los tornillos (K1) del anclaje del cuadro (K). Utilice la
llave (H6).

Coloque el anclaje frontal del cuadro (K2) frente al cuadro de la bicicleta. Introduzca 4 tornillos (K1) en el anclaje del cuadro
para sujetarlo al anclaje posterior del cuadro (K4), de modo que se pueda ajustar la altura más adelante. Es muy importante
colocar correctamente el anclaje del cuadro (K).
Asegúrese de que el anclaje del cuadro (K) queda colocado en la bicicleta tal como se muestra en la imagen (1).

Apriete los tornillos con la llave (H6) de modo que el
Block de Fijácion al quadro (E) quede fija, pero no los
apriete por completo para que pueda ajustar la altura
más adelante si es necesario. Sin embargo, tenga en
cuenta que debe estar sujeta para que sea más fácil
completar el siguiente paso. Necesita apretarla en cruz.

CÓMO MONTAR LA SILLA EN LA BICICLETA

Centre y ajuste la barra metálica de soporte (N) a una
altura con respecto a la rueda posterior que permita que,
al añadir el peso del niño, la silla (A) no llegue a tocar la
rueda. Observe que la barra metálica de soporte (N) debe
situarse a una distancia máxima de 10 centímetros de la
rueda. Nunca utilice la barra metálica de soporte (L) para
transportar nada más que la silla, tal como se indica en
este manual.

Coloque los bordes de la barra metálica de soporte (L)
en los orificios del anclaje del cuadro (K) hasta que oiga
un clic que indica el bloqueo y hasta que el botón
central (K3) esté nivelado con el exterior del anclaje del
cuadro (K).

Para extraer el sistema de fijación al portaequipajes (H) de la silla
infantil debe abrir las abrazaderas de montaje de la silla (L)
presionando una de las abrazaderas, pulsando hacia abajo el
botón y tirando hacia afuera. Con la otra mano, debe tirar hacia
afuera del sistema de fijación al portaequipajes (H) y, finalmente,
presionar y tirar de la otra abrazadera lateral (L) para extraer por
completo el sistema de fijación al portaequipajes (H).
