The Bogen CDR1 CD Player and AM/FM Receiver provides a reliable and economic background music
source for a sound system. The CDR1 is a compact, integrated unit that allows users to store up to 30
radio presets (18 FM and 12 AM stations) and to play CD, CD-R, or CD-RW discs, as well as MP3 files.
The CDR1 is an excellent choice for both small and large background music systems. It can stand alone
on a shelf or mount easily in a standard equipment rack (2 rack spaces high, with optional rack kit).

The auxiliary program source shall be a Bogen Model
CDR1 CD Player with AM/FM Receiver, or equivalent.
The program source shall include manual tuning and
auto seek control. The auto seek control shall auto-
matically ascend (or descend) the frequency scale to
the next strong frequency. It shall be possible to pro-
gram up to 5 bands (FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, AM2) with
up to 6 stations each for a total of 30 stations. A pre-
set scan control shall be provided to scroll and select
from available presets. The FM section shall have a
frequency range from 87.5 MHz – 108 MHz, the AM
section will have a frequency range of 530 kHz – 1710
kHz. Pluggable screw terminal inputs shall be avail-
able for an AM loop antenna, a FM dipole antenna,
and for speaker outputs. An F-type coax antenna con-
nector shall also be available.
The CD player system shall include Browse, Repeat,
Random Play, and Pause functions. The CD player
shall be capable of playing CD, CD-R, or CD-RW
discs (including MP3 files).
The CDR1 shall have a frequency response of 20 Hz –
20 kHz (< 5 dB).
The following controls shall be provided: Power/
Volume, Disc Eject, Mode (Radio, CD, AUX),
Audio/Menu Select (Volume, Bass, Treble, Balance,
Display, Seek, and Clock), Mute, Scan, Stereo/Mono,
Station Store/Select, Loudness Contour, Band, and
Station Select. An LCD digital readout shall be provid-
ed to show selected frequency and band (in Radio
Mode) or track (in CD Mode) information.
The unit shall operate on 12V DC (3A) power with an
included desktop-style AC power adapter. It shall be
possible to drive 8-ohm loudspeakers directly from
1W per channel (Right/Left) outputs. A 50-ohm mono-
summed RCA output shall also be available, in addi-
tion to stereo.
The unit shall be 7-1/4" W × 2-1/8" H × 9-1/4" D and
shall weigh 4 lb. The unit shall mount in a standard
19-inch rack system (2 rack spaces high) with the
RK78 rack mounting kit (sold separately).
