Technical
Specifications
The paging system shall be the Bogen RM350D, a self-con-
tained paging system for small- to medium-sized applica-
tions. It shall combine digital tuner, microphone, and aux
inputs with a 35-watt output and shall be capable of driving
4- to 8-ohm speaker systems as well as 25 or 70 volt dis-
tributed systems.
The tuner section shall use a PLL synthesizer to provide
accurate band selection. An LCD display shall be provided
to display frequency readout. It shall be possible to pro-
gram up to 18 FM and 12 AM preset stations. Push buttons
shall be provided to tune stations, select presets, and scan
preset stations.
An integral microphone input shall accept a balanced Lo-Z
microphone. Input connection shall be via a three-pin stan-
dard mic connector. A microphone volume control shall be
provided. The input shall include a switch-selected ALC cir-
cuit to maintain a constant output level. The input shall also
include VOX- or contact-activated mute of program from
tuner or aux source. Provisions shall be included to mute
the program using dry contact from a customer-supplied
switch. Either normally open or normally closed switches
can be used.
A pushbutton on the front panel shall select between the
tuner or Aux input as a program source. The aux input shall
consist of a single RCA jack to accept signal from a cassette
player, CD, or other line-level source. Bass, treble, and vol-
ume controls shall be provided to adjust the level of pro-
gram. The volume control shall not affect the microphone
input.
The RM350D shall permit connection of up to four switch-
selected paging zones. A push button shall be included to
select single zones; a single button shall be included to
select all zones at once. A pre-page output shall be provid-
ed to route tuner or aux input to a telephone music-on-
hold input. The output shall not be affected by volume, bass
or treble settings.
It shall be possible to supply telephone line input to the unit
when an accessory transformer (specify Model WMT1A) is
used. Output taps shall be provided for direct connection
of 4- to 8- ohm speakers and for connection of 25 or 70
volt distributed systems. Individual zone taps shall be pro-
vided for ease of connection. An impedance jumper shall be
provided to set the output signal on the zone taps.
The RM350D shall operate from a nominal 120V/60Hz AC
source, and shall be UL listed. It shall be rack mountable
using accessory brackets (model RPK47) as an option. An
FM dipole antenna,AM loop antenna, mono patch cord, and
stereo-to-mono patch cord shall be included with the unit.
