BosStrap Generation 3 LT Installation and Fitting Instructions
Initial Fit Adjustment of the BosStrap Sling Strap
The BosStrap body strap should be approximately adjusted to fit you before the G3 Tail is attached
to the camera. Begin by opening the BosStrap body strap to a larger than needed loop. Put your
head and right arm through the BosStrap. The BosStrap should be over your left shoulder, across
your chest under your right arm with the nylon fittings at your back. Leave the free end of the strap
dangling down until the final adjustment is made. The BosStrap is on correctly when the BosStrap
logo on the front is properly oriented as shown in the photograph at right. The BosStrap length
should be adjusted so that the bottom of the metal slide plate is at your right side, a few inches
above your hip. Attaching the Generation 3 Tail to your Camera
1. The G3 Tail as shipped is attached to the metal glide fiting.
2. Work the vinyl sleeve back to access the cam lock. On new
products, the sleeve tends to be a little stiff. This will relax in time.
3. Open the cam lock and release the G3 Tail from the metal slide.
It is easier to open the cam buckle lever by pulling on the 3/8” strap
end, rather than using a finger nail to open it.
4. Remove the small triglide on the G3 Tail. Leave the vinyl sleeve
on the G3 Tail.
5. Rethread the end of the G3 Tail through
the triglide as shown.

6. Thread the G3 Tail through the left
camera strap lug from top.
9. Thread the Generation 3 Tail under
the cam lock lever. Allow about 1” of
webbing to go beyond the cam buckle.
When you next open the cam buckle,
pulling on this end will make it easier to
open.
7. Continue threading the G3 Tail
back through the small triglide as
shown in the figure at left.
10. Snap the cam lock closed.
You will hear and feel a secure snap.
Thread the end of the G3 Tail under the
vinyl sleeve
8. Snug up as shown in the Figure at left
leaving about 2” between the camera lug
and the narrow end of the cam
buckle, Lay flat the body strap with the
BosStrap logo facing up. Insert the G3
Tail end from under the metal slide as
shown in Fig 8 .
11. Push the vinyl sleeve on the cam
lock to secure the cam lever. The
sleeve is designed not to completely
cover the closed cam buckle.
Final Adjustments
Now, put on the BosStrap with the camera and lens attached and adjust the BosStrap so that the camera is at a
comfortable location by your right hip and your hand falls naturally on where you grip the camera. After you fine tune the
diagonal BosStrap length, extra slack beyond the buckle can be neatly secured with the included triglide. Small
adjustments to the G3 Tail length and the BosStrap can make big differences in comfort.
When not using the camera, turn it so the lens points down and backward for minimal camera movement when walking.
