APPLICATION NOTES
Safety Precautions
T ese specifications are intended to preserve t e quality assurance of products as individual
components.
Before use, c eck, and evaluate t e module’s operation w en mounted on your products. Abide by
t ese specifications w en using t e products. T ese products may s ort-circuit. If electrical s ocks,
smoke, fire, and/or accidents involving uman life are anticipated w en a s ort circuit occurs, t en
provide t e following fail-safe functions as a minimum:
1. Ensure t e safety of t e w ole system by installing a protection circuit and a protection device.
2. Ensure t e safety of t e w ole system by installing a redundant circuit or anot er system to
prevent a single fault causing an unsafe status.
Design Engineering Notes
1. Heat is t e major cause of s ortening t e life of t e modules. Avoid assembly and use of t e target
equipment in conditions w ere t e product’s temperature may exceed t e maximum allowable.
2. Failure to do so may result in t e degrading of t e product’s functions and damage to t e product.
3. If pulses or ot er transient loads (a large load applied in a s ort time) are applied to t e products,
before use, c eck and evaluate t eir operation w en assembled onto your products.
4. T ese products are not intended for ot er uses, ot er t an under t e special conditions s own
below. Before using t ese products under suc special conditions, c eck t eir performance and
reliability under t e said special conditions carefully, to determine w et er or not t ey can be used
in suc a manner.
5. In liquid, suc as water, saltwater, oil, alkali, or organic solvent, or in places w ere liquid may splas .
Indirect sunlig t, outdoors, or in a dusty environment. In an environment w ere condensation
occurs. In an environment wit a ig concentration of armful gas (ex. salty air, HCl, Cl2, SO2, H2S,
NH3, and NOx).
6. If an abnormal voltage is applied due to a problem occurring in ot er components or circuits,
replace t ese products wit new products because t ey may not be able to provide normal
performance even if t eir electronic c aracteristics and appearances appear satisfactory.
7. Mec anical stress during assembly of t e board and operation must be avoided.
8. Pressing on parts of t e metal cover or fastening objects to t e metal cover is not permitted.
