Two-dimensional machine readable code
The code contains a unique serial number which can be
used for electronic tracking of the individual instru-
ment. The serial number is based on the global standard
sGTIN (GS1).

Keep dry
The battery is maintenance-free. Battery cells are sub-
ject to ageing and wear. Therefore, the battery cells
have to be replaced after a certain period of use. The
stamp provides a general point of reference. The “Bat-
tery replacement recommended” indicator on the char-
ger is the definitive indicator for a replacement.

1. About this document
1.1 Scope
These instructions for use apply to the products listed below:
►For instructions for use of specific items and information on material
compatibility, see B. Braun eIFU at eifu.bbraun.com
1.2 Warnings
Warnings indicate risks to patients, users, and/or the product that could
develop while using the product. Warnings are marked as follows:
DANGER
Indicates a potential danger. If it is not prevented, death or severe
injuries may result.
WARNING
Indicates a potential danger. Minor or moderate injuries may result if
this is not prevented.
CAUTION
Indicates a potential damage to property. The product may become
damaged if it is not prevented.
2. General information
2.1 Use/intended use:
Task/Function
The rechargeable batteries supply power to the Acculan units and contain
the circuitry required to activate and control the electric motors of the
Acculanunits inaccordance withoperatorcommands.
Application Environment
The product fulfills the requirements of Type BF in accordance with
IEC/DIN EN 60601-1.
For use in operating rooms, outside of the explosive hazard zone (e.g. areas
with highly pure oxygen or anesthetic gases).
2.2 Main functions and design characteristics

3. Safe handling
WARNING
Risk of injury and damage to property due to improper handling of the
product!
►Comply with instructions for use for the Acculan 4 machines and
the Acculan 3Ti machines.
►Follow the instructions for use of all products used.
WARNING
Fire and explosion hazard due to battery poles shorted by fluids or
metal components!
►Do not short-circuit, open, crush or incinerate battery.
CAUTION
Damage to or destruction of the batteries due to reprocessing!
►Do not sterilize batteries.
►Inspect the new product after removing its transport packaging and
prior to first use to ensure it is in good working order; fully charge using
charger GA320 or GA677 and verify functionality.
►To prevent damage caused by improper setup or operation, and to not
compromise the manufacturer warranty and liability:
– Use the product according to these instructions for use.
– Follow the safety and maintenance instructions.
– Only combine Aesculap products with each other.
– Follow the application advisories acc. to standard, see Extracts from
relevant standards.
►Ensure that the product and its accessories are operated and used only
by persons with the requisite training, knowledge, or experience.
►Keep the instructions for use accessible for the user.
►Always adhere to applicable standards.
►Do not use the product if it is damaged or defective.
►Set aside the product if it is damaged.
►Charge product fully after 3 months in storage.
►Keep product dry.
►Observe the instructions for use for the corresponding Acculan
machines.
Note
The user must report all serious incidents occurring in connection with the
product to the manufacturer andto the competent authority of the country
in which the user is registered.

4.2 Components required to operate the device
■Acculan 4 charger GA320 or Acculan 3Ti charger GA677
■Acculan 4 or Acculan 3Ti machine:
4.3 Operating principle
The Acculan NiMH battery supplies the Acculan machine with voltage. The
battery is charged in the Acculan 4 charger GA320 or Acculan 3Ti charger
GA677. The charging process of a completely discharged battery can take
up to 120 min.
The speed and rotational direction are set depending on the trigger setting
of the machines:
■for saws and Dermatome: speed clockwise
■for drills: speed clockwise, counter-clockwise, oscillation and pilgrim
step
5. Preparation
►Prior to use, inspect the product and its accessories for any visible dam-
age.
►Use the products and their accessories only if they are in perfect tech-
nical condition.
6. Working with the device
6.1 System set-up
►See instructions for use for the respective Acculan machine and the
Acculan 4 charger GA320 or Acculan 3Ti charger GA677.
6.2 Functional test
See the instructions for use for the respective Acculan machine.
6.3 Safe operation
WARNING
Risk of injury and material damage due to inappropriate use of bat-
teries!
►Charge battery only in the Acculan 4 charger GA320 or
Acculan 3Ti charger GA677.
►Insert battery correctly (Acculan machine and charger).
WARNING
Risk of injury and material damage due to damaged batteries!
►Check batteries for any damage before charging.
►Do not use or recharge damaged batteries.
CAUTION
Total battery failure can occur if the batteries are left in the charger
while it is disconnected from the power supply!
►Always keep the charger connected to the power supply. Indicator
light for readiness for service must be lit.
►Always remove batteries from the charger when it is disconnected
from the power supply.
CAUTION
Loss of capacity/performance due to prolonged storage of discharged
batteries!
►Leave the batteries in the functional charger after they have been
successfully charged (trickle charging).
►For proper loading and removal of the battery from the Acculan
machine, see the instructions for use for the respective Acculan
machine.
7. Processing process
7.1 General safety information
Note
Observe national statutory regulations, national and international stan-
dards and directives, and any proprietary hygiene instructions for process-
ing.
Note
The applicable national regulations concerning the reprocessing of devices
must be observed for patients having Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), sus-
pected of having CJD, or possible variants of CJD.
Note
It should be noted that successful processing of this medical device can only
be guaranteed following prior validation of the processing method. The
operator/processor shall be responsible.
Note
If there is no final sterilization, then a virucidal disinfectant must be used.

7.2 General notes
Only process chemicals that have been tested and approved (e.g. VAH or
FDA approval or CE mark) and which are compatible with the product’s
materials according to the chemical manufacturers’ recommendations
may be used for processing the product. All the chemical manufacturer's
application specifications must be strictly observed. Failure to do so can
result in the following problems:
■Optical changes of materials, e.g. fading or discoloration of titanium or
aluminum. For aluminum, the application/process solution only needs
to be of pH >8 to cause visible surface changes.
■Material damage such as corrosion, cracks, fracturing, premature aging
or swelling.
►Do not use metal cleaning brushes or other abrasives that would dam-
age the product surface and could cause corrosion.
7.3 Reusable products
The service life of the product is limited by damage, normal wear, type and
duration of the application, handling, storage and transportation of the
product.
Careful visual and functional testing prior to next use is the best way to
identify a malfunctioning product.
7.4 Preparing for cleaning
►Remove the battery from the Acculan machine.
7.5 Cleaning/Disinfection
Device-specific safety information on the reprocessing method
DANGER
Risk of electric shock and fire hazard!
►Do not use flammable or explosive cleaning or disinfecting solu-
tions.
►Ensure that no fluids will penetrate the product.
CAUTION
Damage to, or destruction of the product caused by mechanical clean-
ing/disinfection!
►Only clean and disinfect the product manually.
►Do not sterilize the product under any circumstances.
CAUTION
Risk of damage to the product due to inappropriate cleaning/disin-
fecting agents!
►Only use cleaning/disinfecting agents approved for surface clean-
ing. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the respective
cleaning/disinfecting agent.
►Do not introduce any fluid onto the electrical contacts of the bat-
tery.
7.6 Wipe disinfection of electrical equipment
RT: Room temperature
* Recommended: Meliseptol® Wipes sensitive (B. Braun)
Phase I
►Remove any visible residues with a disposable disinfectant wipe.
Phase II
►Wipe all surfaces of the optically clean product with a fresh, disposable
disinfectant wipe.
►Observe contact time (at least 3min).
7.7 Inspection, maintenance and checks
►Inspect the product after each cleaning and disinfecting cycle to be
sure it is clean, functional and undamaged.
►Set aside the product if it is damaged.

8. Maintenance
The display "Battery replacement recommended" on the Acculan 3Ti char-
ger GA320 (see TA014535) indicates when the battery should be replaced
due to reduced capacity.
No other maintenance measures must be performed on the battery.
For corresponding services, contact your national B. Braun/Aesculap
agency, see Technical Service.
9. Troubleshooting
►Replace product: have defective products repaired by Aesculap Techni-
cal Service, see Technical Service.
10. Storage and transport
WARNING
Risk of injury from burns and damage to product in case of short-cir-
cuit!
►When storing the product, ensure that the product cannot short-
circuit with other products or metal objects.
►In order to prevent damage during transport, ship product in the orig-
inal packaging and in an outer carton.
►If the original packaging is no longer available, ensure the following
when packaging the product:
– The battery contacts are protected against short-circuit.
– The packaging completely encloses the product.
– The product is secured against movement within the packaging.
►Completely charge the product upon receipt and before extended peri-
ods of storage.

►Do not perform any servicing or maintenance work under any cir-
cumstances while the product is being used on a patient.
CAUTION
Modifications of medical devices may result in a loss of potential

Der Akku ist wartungsfrei. Akkuzellen unterliegen
einem Alterungs- und Verschleißprozess. Aus diesem
Grund ist ein Austausch der Akkuzellen nach einer
gewissen Nutzungsdauer erforderlich. Der Stempel gibt
einen groben Richtwert hierzu an. Entscheidend für
einen Austausch ist stets die Anzeige “Akkuaustausch
empfohlen” am Ladegerät.

2. Allgemeine Informationen
2.1 Verwendung/Zweckbestimmung
Aufgabe/Funktion
Die NiMH Akkus dienen der Energieversorgung der Acculan-Maschinen
und beinhalten die Aktivierung und Steuerung der Elektromotoren der
Acculan-Maschinen entsprechend Anwenderbefehlen.
Anwendungsumgebung
Das Produkt erfüllt die Anforderungen des Typs BF gemäß IEC/DIN EN
60601-1.
Zur Nutzung in OP-Räumen, außerhalb des explosionsgefährdeten
Bereichs (z. B. Bereiche mit hochreinem Sauerstoff oder Anästhesiegasen).

3. Sichere Handhabung
WARNUNG
Verletzungsgefahr und Sachschäden durch falsche Handhabung des
Produkts!
►Gebrauchsanweisung der Acculan 4 Maschinen und der
Acculan 3Ti Maschinen einhalten.
►Gebrauchsanweisungen aller verwendeten Produkte einhalten.
WARNUNG
Brand- und Verbrennungsgefahr bei Kurzschluss der Pole durch Flüs-
sigkeiten oder Metallteile!
►Akku nicht kurzschließen, öffnen, zerkleinern oder in die Müllver-
brennung geben.
VORSICHT
Beschädigung/Zerstörung der Akkus durch die Aufbereitung!
►Akkus nicht sterilisieren.
►Fabrikneues Produkt nach Entfernung der Transportverpackung und vor
der ersten Anwendung auf ordnungsgemäßen Zustand prüfen, mit
Ladegerät GA320 oder GA677 vollständig aufladen und auf Funktions-
fähigkeit prüfen.
►Um Schäden durch unsachgemäßen Aufbau oder Betrieb zu vermeiden
und die Gewährleistung und Haftung nicht zu gefährden:
– Produkt gemäß dieser Gebrauchsanweisung verwenden.
– Sicherheitsinformationen und Instandhaltungshinweise einhalten.
– Nur Aesculap-Produkte miteinander kombinieren.
– Anwendungshinweise gemäß Norm einhalten, siehe Normenaus-
züge.
►Produkt und Zubehör nur von Personen betreiben und anwenden las-
sen, die die erforderliche Ausbildung, Kenntnis oder Erfahrung haben.
►Gebrauchsanweisung für den Anwender zugänglich aufbewahren.
►Gültige Normen einhalten.
►Kein beschädigtes oder defektes Produkt verwenden.
►Beschädigtes Produkt sofort aussortieren.
►Produkt nach 3 Monaten Lagerungsdauer voll aufladen.
►Produkt trocken halten.
►Gebrauchsanweisung der entsprechenden Acculan-Maschinen einhal-
ten.
Hinweis
Der Anwender ist verpflichtet, alle im Zusammenhang mit dem Produkt
auftretenden schwerwiegenden Vorfälle dem Hersteller und der zuständi-
gen Behörde des Staats, in dem der Anwender niedergelassen ist, zu mel-
den.

4. Gerätebeschreibung

4.3 Funktionsweise
Der Acculan NiMH Akku versorgt Acculan-Maschinen mit Spannung. Der
Akku wird im Acculan 4 Ladegerät GA320 oder Acculan 3Ti Ladegerät
GA677 aufgeladen. Der Ladevorgang eines vollständig entladenen Akkus
kann bis zu 120 min dauern.
Abhängig von der Drückerstellung der Maschinen wird die Drehzahl und
die Drehrichtung eingestellt:
■für Sägen und Dermatom: Drehzahl im Rechtslauf
■für Bohrmaschinen: Drehzahl in Rechtslauf, Linkslauf, Oszillation und
Pilgerschritt
5. Vorbereiten
►Vor der Verwendung Produkt und dessen Zubehör auf sichtbare Schä-
den prüfen.
►Nur technisch einwandfreie Produkte und Zubehörteile verwenden.
6. Arbeiten mit dem Produkt
6.1 Bereitstellen
►Siehe Gebrauchsanweisung der jeweiligen Acculan-Maschine und des
Acculan 4 Ladegeräts GA320 oder Acculan 3Ti Ladegeräts GA677.
6.2 Funktionsprüfung
Siehe Gebrauchsanweisung der jeweiligen Acculan-Maschine.
6.3 Bedienung
WARNUNG
Verletzungsgefahr und Sachschäden durch unsachgemäßen Gebrauch
der Akkus!
►Akku nur im Acculan 4 Ladegerät GA320 oder Acculan 3Ti Lade-
gerät GA677 aufladen.
►Akku lagerichtig einstecken (Acculan-Maschine und Ladegerät).
WARNUNG
Verletzungsgefahr und Sachschäden durch beschädigte Akkus!
►Akkus vor dem Laden auf Beschädigungen prüfen.
►Beschädigte Akkus nicht verwenden oder aufladen.
VORSICHT
Totalausfall des Akkus durch Belassen des Akkus im von der Netzver-
sorgung getrenntem Ladegerät!
►Ladegerät stets mit der Netzversorgung verbunden lassen. Kont-
rollleuchte für Betriebsbereitschaft muss leuchten.
►Akkus immer aus dem Ladegerät entfernen, wenn dieses von der
Netzversorgung getrennt wird.
VORSICHT
Verlust der Kapazität/Leistungsfähigkeit des entladenen Akkus durch
längere Lagerung!
►Akku nach erfolgreich abgeschlossenem Ladevorgang im betriebs-
bereiten Ladegerät belassen (Erhaltungsladung).
►Zur sachgerechten Bestückung und Entnahme der Akkus aus der
Acculan-Maschine, siehe Gebrauchsanweisung der jeweiligen Acculan-
Maschine.
7. Aufbereitungsverfahren
7.1 Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise
Hinweis
Nationale gesetzliche Vorschriften, nationale und internationale Normen
und Richtlinien und die eigenen Hygienevorschriften zur Aufbereitung ein-
halten.
Hinweis
Bei Patienten mit Creutzfeldt-Jakob-Krankheit (CJK), CJK-Verdacht oder
möglichen Varianten bezüglich der Aufbereitung der Produkte die jeweils
gültigen nationalen Verordnungen einhalten.
Hinweis
Es ist zu beachten, dass die erfolgreiche Aufbereitung dieses Medizinpro-
dukts nur nach vorheriger Validierung des Aufbereitungsprozesses sicher-
gestellt werden kann. Die Verantwortung hierfür trägt der Betreiber/Aufbe-
reiter.

7.2 Allgemeine Hinweise
Es dürfen nur Prozess-Chemikalien eingesetzt werden, die geprüft und
freigegeben sind (z. B. VAH- oder FDA-Zulassung bzw. CE-Kennzeichnung)
und vom Chemikalienhersteller hinsichtlich Materialverträglichkeit emp-
fohlen wurden. Sämtliche Anwendungsvorgaben des Chemikalienherstel-
lers sind strikt einzuhalten. Im anderen Fall kann dies zu nachfolgenden
Problemen führen:
■Optische Materialveränderungen wie z. B. Verblassen oder Farbverän-
derungen bei Titan oder Aluminium. Bei Aluminium können sichtbare
Oberflächenveränderungen bereits bei einem pH-Wert von >8 in der
Anwendungs-/Gebrauchslösung auftreten.
■Materialschäden, wie z. B. Korrosion, Risse, Brüche, vorzeitige Alterung
oder Quellung.
►Zur Reinigung keine Metallbürsten oder keine anderen die Oberfläche
verletzenden Scheuermittel verwenden, da sonst Korrosionsgefahr
besteht.
7.3 Wiederverwendbare Produkte
Die Lebensdauer des Produkts ist begrenzt durch Beschädigung, normalen
Verschleiß, Art und Dauer der Anwendung, sowie Handhabung, Lagerung
und Transport des Produkts.
Eine sorgfältige visuelle und funktionelle Prüfung vor dem nächsten
Gebrauch ist die beste Möglichkeit, ein nicht mehr funktionsfähiges Pro-
dukt zu erkennen.
7.4 Vorbereiten vor der Reinigung
►Akku aus der Acculan-Maschine entnehmen.
7.5 Reinigung/Desinfektion
Produktspezifische Sicherheitshinweise zum Aufbereitungsverfahren
GEFAHR
Stromschlag- und Brandgefahr!
►Keine brennbaren und explosiven Reinigungs- und Desinfektions-
mittel verwenden.
►Sicherstellen, dass keine Flüssigkeit in das Produkt eindringt.
VORSICHT
Beschädigung oder Zerstörung des Produkts durch maschinelle Reini-
gung/Desinfektion!
►Produkt nur manuell reinigen/desinfizieren.
►Produkt niemals sterilisieren.
VORSICHT
Schäden am Produkt durch ungeeignete Reinigungs-/Desinfektions-
mittel!
►Für die Flächenreinigung zugelassene Reinigungs-/Desinfektions-
mittel nach Anweisung des Herstellers verwenden.
►Keine Flüssigkeit an die elektrischen Kontakte des Akkus einbrin-
gen.
7.6 Wischdesinfektion bei elektrischen Geräten

►Ggf. sichtbare Rückstände mit Einmal-Desinfektionstuch entfernen.

►Optisch sauberes Produkt vollständig mit unbenutztem Einmal-Desin-
fektionstuch abwischen.
►Vorgeschriebene Einwirkzeit (mindestens 3 min) einhalten.
7.7 Kontrolle, Wartung und Prüfung
►Produkt nach jeder Reinigung und Desinfektion prüfen auf: Sauberkeit,
Funktion und Beschädigung.
►Beschädigtes Produkt sofort aussortieren.

8. Instandhaltung
Die Anzeige “Akkuaustausch empfohlen” am Acculan 3Ti Ladegerät GA677
(siehe TA022160) bzw. am Acculan 4 Ladegerät GA320 (siehe TA014535)
zeigt an, wenn der Akku aufgrund verminderter Leistungsfähigkeit ausge-
tauscht werden sollte.
Darüber hinaus sind keine Instandhaltungsmaßnahmen am Akku durchzu-
führen.
Für entsprechende Serviceleistungen wenden Sie sich an Ihre nationale
B. Braun/Aesculap Vertretung, siehe Technischer Service.
9. Fehler erkennen und beheben
►Produkt ersetzen: Defekte Produkte durch Aesculap Technischen Ser-
vice instand setzen lassen, siehe Technischer Service
10. Lagerung und Transport
WARNUNG
Verletzungsgefahr durch Verbrennungen und Beschädigung des Pro-
dukts bei Kurzschluss!
►Bei der Lagerung des Produkts sicherstellen, dass das Produkt kei-
nen Kurzschluss mit anderen Produkten oder metallischen Objekten
bilden kann.
►Um Beschädigungen beim Transport zu vermeiden, Produkt in der Ori-
ginalverpackung und in einem Umkarton versenden.
►Falls die Originalverpackung nicht mehr verfügbar ist, Folgendes beim
Verpacken des Produkts sicherstellen:
– Die Akkukontakte sind vor Kurzschluss geschützt.
– Die Verpackung umschließt das Produkt vollständig.
– Das Produkt ist gegen Bewegung innerhalb der Verpackung gesi-
chert.
►Produkt nach Erhalt und vor längerer Lagerung vollständig aufladen.

Protéger contre l’humidité
La batterie ne nécessite aucun entretien. Les cellules de
la batterie subissent un processus normal de vieillisse-
ment et d'usure. C'est pourquoi il est nécessaire de les
remplacer après une certaine durée d'utilisation. Le
poinçon donne une indication approximative à cet
effet. C'est l'affichage du message « Remplacement de
la batterie recommandé » sur le chargeur qui indique le
moment du remplacement.

3. Manipulation sûre
AVERTISSEMENT
Risque de blessure et de dégâts matériels en cas de manipulation
incorrecte du produit!
►Respecter les instructions d’utilisation des machines Acculan 4 et
des machines Acculan 3Ti.
►Respecter le mode d’emploi de tous les produits utilisés.

Risque d’incendie, de brûlure en cas de court-circuit des pôles provo-
qué par un liquide ou des pièces métalliques!
►Ne pas court-circuiter l’accu, ne pas l’ouvrir, ne pas le broyer et ne
pas l’incinérer.
ATTENTION
Risque d’endommagement ou de détérioration irrémédiable des accus
par un traitement stérile!
►Ne pas stériliser les accus.
►Après avoir retiré le produit neuf sortant de l’usine de son conditionne-
ment de transport et avant la première utilisation, vérifier le bon état
du produit, le charger entièrement avec le chargeur GA320 ou GA677
et vérifier son bon fonctionnement.
►Pour éviter les dommages provoqués par un montage ou une utilisation
incorrects et ne pas remettre en cause les droits à prestations de garan-
tie et la responsabilité:
– Utiliser ce produit conformément au présent mode d’emploi.
– Respecter les informations sur la sécurité et les consignes de main-
tenance.
– Ne combiner entre eux que des produits Aesculap.
– Respecter les consignes d’utilisation en conformité avec la norme,
voir les extraits de normes.
►Confier le fonctionnement et l’utilisation du produit et des accessoires
uniquement à des personnes disposant de la formation, des connais-
sances ou de l’expérience requises.
►Le mode d’emploi doit être conservé en un lieu accessible à l’utilisateur.
►Respecter les normes en vigueur.
►Ne jamais utiliser un produit endommagé ou défectueux.
►Mettre immédiatement au rebut tout produit endommagé.
►Recharger complètement le produit après un stockage de 3 mois.
►Conserver le produit au sec.
►Respecter le mode d’emploi de la machine Acculan correspondante.

4. Description de l’appareil

4.3 Mode de fonctionnement
L'accu NiHM Acculan alimente les machines Acculan en courant. L’accu
est rechargé dans un chargeur Acculan 4 GA320 ou Acculan 3Ti GA677. Le
chargement d’un accu complètement déchargé peut prendre jusqu’à
120 minutes.
La vitesse et le sens de rotation sont réglés en fonction de la position du
commutateur des machines:
■pour scies et dermatomes: vitesse de rotation vers la droite
■pour perceuses: vitesse de rotation vers la droite, vers la gauche, oscil-
lation et pas de pèlerin
5. Préparation
►Avant l’utilisation, contrôler l’absence de dommages visibles sur le pro-
duit et ses accessoires.
►N’utiliser que des produits et des accessoires techniquement en parfait
état.
6. Utilisation du produit
6.1 Raccord des accessoires
►Respecter les instructions d’utilisation de la machine Acculan corres-
pondante et du chargeur Acculan 4 GA320 ou Acculan 3Ti GA677
6.2 Vérification du fonctionnement
Respecter les instructions d’utilisation de la machine Acculan correspon-
dante.
6.3 Manipulation
AVERTISSEMENT
Risque de blessure et de dégâts matériels en cas d’utilisation impropre
des accus!
►Charger l’accu uniquement avec le chargeur Acculan 4 GA320 ou
Acculan 3Ti GA677
►Insérer correctement l’accu (machine Acculan et chargeur).
AVERTISSEMENT
Risque de blessure et de dégâts matériels avec des accus endommagés!
►Contrôler l’absence de détériorations des accus avant de les rechar-
ger.
►Ne pas utiliser ni recharger des accus endommagés.
ATTENTION
Batterie totalement déchargée du fait de l'avoir laissée dans le char-
geur non branché au secteur !
►Toujours laisser le chargeur branché à l’alimentation électrique. Le
voyant indiquant que l'appareil est prêt à l'emploi doit être allumé.
►Toujours retirer les batteries du chargeur lorsqu’il n'est pas branché
au secteur.
ATTENTION
Risque de perte de capacité ou de performance des batteries déchar-
gées du fait d’un stockage prolongé !
►Laisser la batterie dans le chargeur en état de marche (charge
d’entretien) après un processus de recharge achevé avec succès.
►Pour l’installation et le retrait corrects des accus de la machine
Acculan, reportez-vous aux instructions d’utilisation de la machine
Acculan correspondante.
7. Procédé de traitement
7.1 Consignes générales de sécurité
Remarque
En matière de traitement stérile, respecter les prescriptions légales natio-
nales, les normes et directives nationales et internationales ainsi que les
dispositions d’hygiène propres à l’établissement.
Remarque
Pour les patients atteints de la maladie de Creutzfeldt-Jakob (MCJ), soup-
çonnés d’être atteints de la MCJ ou d’éventuelles variantes, respecter les
réglementations nationales en vigueur pour le traitement stérile des pro-
duits.
Remarque
Il convient de noter que le traitement adéquat de ce dispositif médical ne
peut être garanti qu'après validation préalable du procédé de traitement.
Cette responsabilité incombe à l'exploitant/à l'utilisateur.

7.2 Remarques générales
Seuls doivent être utilisés des produits chimiques de traitement contrôlés
et validés (p. ex. agrément VAH ou FDA ou marquage CE) et recommandés
par le fabricant des produits chimiques quant à la compatibilité avec les
matériaux. Toutes les prescriptions d’application du fabricant des produits
chimiques doivent être strictement respectées. Dans le cas contraire, les
problèmes suivants peuvent survenir:
■Modification d’aspect du matériau, p. ex. palissement ou altérations de
couleur du titane ou de l’aluminium. Sur l’aluminium, des altérations de
surface visibles peuvent se produire dès une valeur de pH de >8 dans la
solution utilisée.
■Détériorations de matériau telles que corrosion, fissures, cassures, vieil-
lissement prématuré ou dilatations.
►Pour le nettoyage, ne pas utiliser de brosses métalliques ni d’autres
produits abrasifs pouvant abîmer la surface, faute de quoi il y a risque
de corrosion.
7.3 Produits réutilisables
La durée de vie du produit est limitée par les dommages, l'usure normale,
le type et la durée d'utilisation, la manipulation, le stockage et le transport
du produit.
Pour détecter un éventuel dysfonctionnement du produit, il convient
d'effectuer un contrôle visuel et fonctionnel minutieux avant chaque uti-
lisation.
7.4 Préparation avant le nettoyage
►Retirez l’accu de la machine Acculan.
7.5 Vérification, entretien et contrôle

►Ne pas utiliser de produits de nettoyage et de désinfection inflam-
mables et explosifs.
►Veiller à ce qu’aucun liquide ne pénètre dans le produit.

par un nettoyage ou une désinfection en machine!
►Ne nettoyer/désinfecter le produit que manuellement.
►Ne jamais stériliser le produit.
ATTENTION
Risque de détérioration du produit du fait d’un produit de net-
toyage/désinfection inadéquat!
►Utiliser uniquement des produits de nettoyage/désinfection agréés
pour le nettoyage des surfaces en respectant les instructions du
fabricant.
►N’appliquer aucun liquide sur les contacts électriques de l’accu.
7.6 Désinfection par essuyage des appareils électriques

►Éliminer si nécessaire les résidus visibles avec une lingette désinfec-
tante à usage unique.
Phase II
►Essuyer entièrement le produit visuellement propre avec une lingette

►Respecter le temps d’action préconisé (au moins 3 min).
7.7 Vérification, entretien et contrôle
►Avant chaque procédure de nettoyage et de désinfection, contrôler le
produit et vérifier sa propreté, son bon état de fonctionnement et
l’absence de dommage.
►Mettre immédiatement au rebut tout produit endommagé.

8. Maintenance
Le message « Remplacement de la batterie recommandé » sur le chargeur
Acculan 3TiGA677 (voir TA022160) ou sur le chargeur Acculan 4GA320
(voir TA014535) indique si la batterie doit être remplacée en raison d’une
baisse des performances.
Aucune autre mesure de maintenance ne doit être effectuée sur l’accu.
Pour des prestations de service en ce sens, veuillez vous adresser à votre
représentation nationale B. Braun/Aesculap, voir Service Technique.
9. Identification et élimination des pannes
►Remplacer le produit: faire réviser les produits défectueux par le service
technique d'Aesculap, voir Service Technique
10. Stockage et transport
AVERTISSEMENT
Risque de blessure par brûlure et d’endommagement du produit en cas
de court-circuit!
►Lors du stockage du produit, s’assurer que le produit ne peut pas
être court-circuité avec d’autres produits ou objets métalliques.
►Pour éviter toute dégradation pendant le transport, expédier le produit
dans son emballage d’origine et dans un carton de protection.
►Si l’emballage d’origine n’est plus disponible, vérifier les points suivants
lors de l’emballage du produit:
– Les contacts de l’accu sont protégés contre les courts-circuits.
– L’emballage enveloppe complètement le produit.
– Le produit est protégé contre les mouvements dans l’emballage.
►Charger complètement le produit à la réception et avant un stockage
prolongé.

Proteger de la humedad
La batería no necesita mantenimiento. Las celdas de la
batería están sometidas a un proceso de envejecimiento
y desgaste. Por lo tanto, es necesario sustituir las celdas
de la batería después de cierto tiempo de uso. El aplica-
dor indica un valor aproximado al respecto. El indicador
"Recomendación de cambio de batería" del cargador es
fundamental para la sustitución.
