Charging
The best environmental temperature for charging is between 60 °F to
95 °F / 15 °C to 35 °C. Do not expose the appliance to temperatures higher
than 122 °F / 50 °C for extended periods of time.
• Using the special cord set (8), connect the appliance to an electrical outlet
with the motor switched off.
• When charging for the first time or when the appliance is not used for a
few months, leave the appliance to charge continuously for 4 hours.
• Once the appliance is completely charged, discharge it through normal
use. Then recharge to full capacity. Subsequent charges will take about
1 hour (model cruZer5 beard: about 8 hours).
• A full charge provides up to 40 minutes of cordless operating time.
This may vary according to your beard growth.
• Maximum battery capacity will only be reached after several charging/
discharging cycles.

Pilot light (5)
The pilot light shows the status of the batteries
Model cruZer6 beard&head:
• The pilot light blinks green when the appliance is being charged. When the
battery is fully charged, the pilot light shines permanently green provided
the appliance is connected to an electrical outlet.
• During cordless use the pilot light blinks green.
• The pilot light flashes red when the battery is running low. You should be
able to finish your current trimming sequence.
Model cruZer5 beard&head:
• The pilot light shines permanently green provided the appliance is
connected to an electrical outlet.
Comb attachments (1a, 1b)
• The combs can be taken off by pressing the release buttons (1c) with your
thumb and forefinger.
• Note, the combs can only be taken off, when the precision trimmer (3) is
not extended.
Beard trimming
• Place the beard comb (1a) on the appliance with the appliance turned off
(a).
• Press length selector (6) and slide the beard comb up to your desired
beard length (possible length settings: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11mm).
• It is advisable to begin with the highest setting and then reduce the setting
until you reach the desired beard length.
• Press the on/off switch. Hold the beard comb with the angled edge
against your beard and guide the trimmer against the direction of the hair
growth (a).
• To avoid clogging the beard comb with hair, clean it from time to time with
the brush.
Contour Trimming / Styling
• The wide trimmer (2) evenly cuts and trims large areas. It is ideal for
shaping sideburns, moustaches and partial short beards. Take off the
comb. While stretching the skin, guide the wide trimmer against the
direction of hair growth (b).
• The precision trimmer (3) (model cruZer6 beard&head only) precisely
defines lines and edges, being ideal for precise contouring. To use the
precision trimmer, press the release button (4) and slide it up (c).

Hair cutting
The hair should be clean, well combed, tangle-free and dry.
• Place the hair comb (1b) on the appliance with the appliance turned off (d).
• Press the length selector (6) and slide the distance comb up to your
desired hair length (possible length settings: 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 mm).
If you are not used to clipping hair, begin with a higher setting and then
reduce the setting to avoid cutting more hair than desired. If you want to
cut your hair shorter than 10mm, we advise to first cut it with the hair
comb (1b) down to 10mm and then use the beard comb for the desired
length.
• Use a slow and controlled movement. Do not force the appliance through
the hair faster than it can be cut.
• In between, shake or blow off the hair. If too much hair is caught in the
comb, remove and clean it.
Cleaning
The appliance is suitable for cleaning under running tap water. Warning:
Detach the appliance from the power supply before cleaning it with water.
Regular cleaning ensures better trimming performance.
Cleaning with the brush
• Switch off the appliance. Open the wide trimmer by pressing with the
thumb against the trimmer from the front side. It opens by ca. 45° and can
also be taken off (h).
• Using the brush clean the trimmers and the space behind the wide
trimmer (inside the housing).
Cleaning with water
• Switch off the appliance and rinse the head and trimmers under warm
running water. You can also rinse the opened wide trimmer. You may use
liquid soap without abrasive substances. Rinse off all foam.
• Leave the appliance with opened wide trimmer to dry.
• If you regularly clean the trimmers under water, apply a few drops of light
machine oil onto the trimmers as indicated in the drawing (i).
Keeping your appliance in top shape
Preserving the batteries
In order to maintain the optimum capacity of the rechargeable batteries, the
appliance has to be fully discharged (by trimming/cutting) every 6 months
approximately. Then recharge the appliance to full capacity.

Mise en charge du rasoir
La température environnante idéale pour la mise en charge doit être
comprise entre 15 °C et 35 °C (60 °F et 95 °F). Ne pas exposer le rasoir à
une température supérieure à 50 °C (122 °F) pendant trop longtemps.
• A l’aide du cordon d’alimentation (8), brancher le rasoir arrêté à une prise
de courant.
• Lors de la première mise en charge ou lorsque le rasoir n’est pas utilisé
durant quelques mois, laisser le rasoir charger en continu pendant
4 heures.
• Une fois le rasoir complètement rechargé, l’utiliser sans cordon jusqu’à ce
qu’il soit complètement déchargé. Puis le recharger à nouveau
complètement. Les charges suivantes prendront environ 1 heure (pour le
modèle cruZer5 barbe et cheveux : environ 8 heures).
• Une pleine charge procure environ 40 minutes de rasage sans cordon.
Cette durée varie toutefois selon votre type de barbe.
• La capacité maximale de la pile ne sera atteinte qu’après plusieurs cycles
de charge/décharge.

Voyant de charge (5)
Le voyant de charge indique le niveau de charge des piles.
Modèle cruZer6 barbe et cheveux :
• Le voyant de charge clignote en vert lorsque le rasoir est en train de
charger. Quand la pile est complètement rechargée, le voyant de charge
demeure vert lorsque le rasoir est branché à une prise murale.
• Lors de l’utilisation sans fil, le voyant de charge clignote en vert.
• Le voyant de charge clignote en rouge lorsque la pile est faible. Vous
devriez être en mesure de terminer votre rasage.
Modèle cruZer5 barbe et cheveux :
• Le voyant de charge demeure vert lorsque le rasoir est branché à une
prise murale.
Peignes accessoires (1a, 1b)
• Les peignes peuvent s’enlever en appuyant sur les boutons de
déverrouillage (1c) à l’aide du pouce et de l’index.
• Il est à noter que les peignes peuvent être enlevés seulement lorsque la
tondeuse de précision (3) n’est pas allongée.
Taille de la barbe
• Sur le rasoir éteint (a), placer le peigne pour tondre la barbe (1a).
• Appuyer sur le sélecteur de hauteur de coupe (6) et glisser le peigne pour
tondre la barbe à la hauteur de coupe souhaitée (hauteurs de coupes
possibles : 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 et 11 mm).
• Il est recommandé de commencer par la coupe la plus longue et de
diminuer jusqu’à l’obtention de la longueur désirée.
• Mettre le rasoir en marche. Tenir le peigne pour tondre la barbe en
appuyant la lame sur la barbe et guider la tondeuse dans le sens opposé à
la repousse (a).
• Pour éviter d’obstruer le peigne avec des poils, le nettoyer de temps en
temps à l’aide de la brosse.
Taille de précision / Styles
• La tondeuse large (2) permet d’égaliser et de tailler les poils sur les zones
les plus larges. Elle est idéale pour tailler les favoris, la moustache et la
barbe courte. Enlever le peigne. Tout en tendant la peau, guider la
tondeuse dans le sens opposé de la pousse des poils (b).

• La tondeuse de précision (3) (modèle cruZer6 barbe et cheveux
seulement) est idéale pour délimiter précisément les contours de la barbe.
Pour utiliser la tondeuse de précision, appuyer sur le bouton de
déverrouillage (4) et le faire coulisser (c).
Taille des cheveux
Les cheveux doivent être propres, peignés, démêlés et secs.
• Placer le peigne pour couper les cheveux (1b) sur le rasoir éteint (d).
• Appuyer sur le sélecteur de hauteur de coupe (6) et glisser le peigne pour
couper les cheveux à la hauteur de coupe souhaitée (hauteurs de coupes
possibles : 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 et 20 mm). Si vous n’avez pas l’habitude de
couper les cheveux, commencez par une coupe plus longue, puis
diminuez la hauteur de coupe pour éviter d’enlever trop de cheveux.
Si vous voulez couper vos cheveux à une hauteur de moins de 10 mm,
nous vous conseillons de les couper d’abord à une hauteur de 10 mm
avec le peigne pour couper les cheveux (1b), puis d’utiliser le peigne pour
tondre la barbe afin d’obtenir la longueur désirée.
• Raser en faisant des mouvements lents et maîtrisés. Ne pas forcer le
rasoir à couper plus rapidement qu’il ne le permet.
• Entre-temps, secouer le rasoir ou souffler sur les cheveux. Enlever les
cheveux qui restent coincés dans le peigne et le nettoyer.
Nettoyage
On peut nettoyer l’appareil sous l’eau du robinet. Mise en garde : il faut
débrancher l’appareil de l’alimentation électrique avant de le nettoyer à l’eau.
Un nettoyage régulier assure de meilleures performances de rasage.
Nettoyage à l’aide de la brosse
• Éteindre l’appareil. Ouvrir la tondeuse large en appuyant sur le devant à
l’aide du pouce. Elle s’ouvre à un angle de 45° et peut également être
retirée (h).
• À l’aide de la brosse, nettoyer les tondeuses et l’espace derrière la
tondeuse large (à l’intérieur du boîtier).
Nettoyage à l’eau
• Éteindre le rasoir et rincer la tête et les tondeuses à l’eau chaude. Vous
pouvez également rincer la tondeuse large ouverte. Vous pouvez utiliser
un peu de savon doux naturel qui ne contient aucune particule abrasive.
Rincer toute la mousse.
