This tap or co bination tap asse bly has a Type AUK2 air gap and is therefore only suitable for
installation in do estic pre ises or in other pre ises to protect against a backflow risk up to a Fluid
Category 3, unless additional backflow protection for the higher risk is included in the installation.

Water supplies shall be a reasonably balanced pressures fro a co on source (e.g. hot and cold
supplies both fro the sa e storage or both fro a supply pipe). Where the fitting is supplied fro
unbalanced supplies (e.g. hot and cold supplies fro separate sources) a ‘Listed’ single check valve

The fitting shall be installed so that its outlet discharges above the spill-over level of any fixed appliance
as indicated below:-
For backflow protection in do estic or installations up to, and including, Fluid Category 3.

If the fitting cannot be installed as indicated in the table it shall be installed:
a) with an approved double check valve asse bly or so e other no less effective backflow prevention
device i ediately upstrea of the inlet; or
b) so that it draws water by gravity only fro a cistern, or cylinder having a per anently open
vent pipe, and the distributing pipe supplies no other fitting (other than draining tap) at a lower level.

The vertical distance of the outlet above the spill-over level shall be not less than 20 or twice the
dia eter of the inlet pipe to the fitting, which ever is the greater. If the fitting cannot be installed as
indicated it shall be installed with a backflow prevention arrange ent suitable for the Fluid Category.
