All pr duct manufactured and supplied by Bristan are safe pr vided they are installed c rrectly, used c rrectly and
receive regular maintenance in acc rdance with these instructi ns.
These fittings need t be installed in acc rdance with and meet the requirements f the Water Supply (Water
Fittings) Regulati ns 1999 and Sc ttish Byelaws 2004.

1. Identify all c mp nents and check f r c mpleteness,
particularly bef re c mmencing installati n.
2. Fit the mixer t the sink using the ‘C’ plate fixing kit. The
Full rubber washer g es between the fitting and the sink,
and the ‘C’ shaped rubber and metal washers n the
underside f the sink.
3. Fit the tail pipes t the fitting and c nnect the h t and
c ld water supplies.
4. Fully pen b th valves, letting the water run f r a few
minutes t flush the system.
5. Check all j ints and c nnecti ns f r leaks.

Y ur fitting has a high quality finish and sh uld be treated with care t preserve the visible surfaces. All finishes
will wear if n t cleaned c rrectly. The nly safe way t clean y ur pr duct is t wipe with a s ft damp cl th.
Stains can be rem ved using washing up liquid. All bathr m cleaning pr duct (p wders and liquids) will
damage the surface f y ur fitting, even the n n-scratch cleaners.
NOTE:- Never use abrasive detergents r disinfectants r th se c ntaining alc h l, hydr chl ric r ph sph ric
acid.
Traditi nal type valves: - If the fitting leaks fr m the spindle
1. Rem ve fitting head (if necessary).
2. Tighten gland nut n t p f valve.
All valve types: - If the fitting begins t drip
1. Turn ff the water supplies.
2. Rem ve fitting head and valve.
3. Carefully clean seating and rubber washer.
4. Replace valve and turn n the water supplies.
5. If the pr blem persists c ntact ur cust mer service helpline.

Servicing sh uld be carried ut at regular intervals f n m re than 12 m nths and m re frequently in hard water areas (heavy
lime scale) areas.
In the unlikely event that any pr blems are enc untered with the pr duct’s perf rmance n installati n, y u must btain
guidance/auth risati n fr m ur Cust mer Service Department, and be able t supply pr f and date f purchase, bef re any
remedial acti n is taken.
The guarantee excludes general wear and tear and damage caused by accident, misuse r neglect, and d es n t c ver the
f ll wing:
