Remove the battery cover plate from the rear of the remote
controller, by sliding it in the direction of the arrow.
Reinstall the battery cover by sliding it into place.
Install the batteries (+ and -) as shown on the Remote Controller.
Refer to picture 1:
Use 2 AAA (1.5V) batteries. Do not use rechargeable
batteries. Replace the old batteries with new ones of the
same type when the display is no longer legible.
Do not dispose batteries as unsorted municipal waste.
Collection of such waste separately for special treatment is
necessary.
1. Direct the remote controller toward the Air conditioner.
2. Check that there are no objects between the remote control
and the Signal receptor in the indoor unit.
3. Never leave the remote controller exposed to the rays of the sun.
4. Keep the remote controller at a distance of at least 1m from a
television or other electrical appliances.
Recommendations for locating and using the remote controller holder (if present)
The remote controller be kept in a wall-mounted holder.

Indicators On LCD Replacement of Batteries
This remote controller can be configured to operate for both a
COOLING ONLY system, or a COOLING and HEATING system.
When you insert the batteries for the first time, or when
replacing the batteries, you can configure the remote controller
to suit your application. When the batteries are inserted, the
symbols and start flashing alternately. Pressing any
button when is displayed, sets the controller to COOLING
ONLY mode. Pressing any button when is displayed, sets the
controller to COOLING and HEATING mode.
If you do not make a selection while the symbols are flashing, the
symbols stop flashing after several seconds and the controller
adopts its default configuration of COOLING and HEATING mode.

ON
When the appliance is off (standby):
1. Press the "ON / OFF" button to turn on appliance. The appliance
will begin to operate.
2. All current operational settings and modes status are shown on
the LCD screen.
NOTE:
When the appliance is turned on via "ON / OFF" button it will
return to operation using the last operational models and settings.
OFF
When the appliance is running:
1. Press the "ON / OFF" button to turn off appliance. The appliance
will be placed into standby.
2. The previous operation mode is shown on the LCD screen.

Heating Mode
In AUTO mode, you cannot adjust the temperature; however you are
allowed to increase 1 or 2 from set temperature by pressing
TEMP UP button and to decrease 1 or 2 from set temperature by
pressing TEMP DN button.
NOTE:
In this mode, ECO and TURBO functions are not available.
AUTO
1. Press the ON / OFF button to turn on appliance.
2. Press the MODE button to select Auto.
3. To cancel the "AUTO" mode and return the appliance to manual
control select another mode.
The system will automatically select the MODE as per the table
below.

1. Press the MODE button to select COOLING and HEATING mode.
2. Press the TEMP UP / DN buttons to set the desired temperature.
The temperature can be set within a range of 16 ~ 31 in
0.5 increments.
3. Press the FAN button to select the fan speed in four steps- Auto,
Low, Med, or High.
NOTE:
The indoor unit display shows the temperature setting in 1
increments only.

2. Press the FAN button to select the fan speed in three steps -
Low, Med, or High.
NOTE:
In the FAN mode, Swing operations for air direction can still be
adjusted; however you are unable to control the room
temperature.

The fan speed can be adjusted manually or set to automatic.
Press the "FAN" button until the desired fan speed is shown on
the LCD screen (displayed below the temperature display), the
available fan speeds are Auto / Low (4 bars) / Med (8 bars) /
High (12 bars).
Select "AUTO" if you wish the fan speed to be adjusted automatically
by the appliance during AUTO, COOLING, HEATING modes.
Fan Speed
In periods of high humidity this mode removes excess moisture
from the room, in order to prevent mould and mildew.
Press the MODE button to select Dry mode.
NOTE:
In the DRY mode, you are unable to control the room temperature
and fan speed. It is automatically controlled by the unit.

ADJUSTING VERTICAL AIR FLOW
Continuous Circulation
1. To adjust the direction of the air flow vertically for more even air
circulation, press the button, this activates a continuous
cyclic movement of the louver. When cycling, the swing icon is
shown on the LCD screen.
Fixed Direction
1. To adjust the direction of the air flow vertically in a fixed
direction, press the button once to activate a
continuous cyclic movement of the louver. The swing icon is
shown on the LCD screen.
2. When the desired flow direction has been reached press the
button again to stop the movement of the louver.
The swing icon is no longer shown on the LCD screen.
3. Repeat the above steps to further adjust the flow direction or
press the button once to return to a continuous cyclic
movement of the louvre.

1. To adjust the direction of the air flow horizontally for more even
air circulation, press the button to enable a continuous
cyclic movement of the vanes. When cycling, The swing icon is

1. To adjust the direction of the air flow vertically in a fixed
direction, press the button once to enable a continuous
cyclic movement of the vanes. The swing icon is shown on the

NOTE:
When the horizontal / vertical louver swing moves to a position which may adversely affect the cooling or heating
effect of the air conditioner, it may automatically change the horizontal or vertical position.

Press the TIMER button to set the auto-on and auto-off time
of the unit.

1. With the appliance "OFF", press the "TIMER" button once, a
blinking "TIME ON indicator" is shown on the LCD screen.
2. Press the MODE button to select mode of operation.
3. Press or to set the desired time period (the
available time range is in 1 / 2 hour increments from 0.5 to 10
hours & in 1 hour increments from 11 to 24 hours).
4. Press the "TIMER" button again to lock in the setting, both "TIMER"
and a "TIME ON indicator" are shown on the LCD screen. The timer
will count down the time remaining in half hour in increments.
When the countdown is complete the appliance will turn on.
1. With the appliance "ON", press the "TIMER" button once, a
blinking "TIME OFF indicator" is shown on the LCD screen.
2. Press or to set the desired time period (the available
time range is in 1 / 2 hour increments from 0.5 to 24 hours).
3. Press the "TIMER" button again to lock in the setting, both
"TIMER" and a "TIMER ON indicator" are shown on the LCD screen.
The timer will count down the time remaining in half hour in
increments. When the countdown is complete the appliance will
turn off.
NOTE:
CANCELLING ON / OFF TIMERS
When a timer is set, pressing the "TIMER" button will cancel any
timer settings and the TIMER OFF or TIMER ON indicator will no
longer be shown on the LCD screen.
TURBO
This mode allows you to cool indoor air quickly in summer or
warm it quickly in winter.
1. Press the "ON / OFF" button to turn on appliance.
2. Confirm that either COOLING or HEATING modes are selected.
3. Press the "TURBO" button, the appliance will run in "TURBO"
mode.
In COOLING mode, the unit is set to 16 , auto fan speed and
continuous circulation of vertical & horizontal flow.
In HEATING mode, the unis set to 31 , auto fan speed and
continuous circulation of vertical & horizontal flow.
NOTE:
When the appliance is operating in AUTO mode the TURBO
function is not available.
In TURBO mode the fan is set to operate at the maximum
output. Attempting to alter the fan speed during TURBO
mode operation will cancel TURBO and return the appliance
to normal operation.
Deactivate TURBO function when the room temperature
reaches a satisfactory level.
ECO
In this mode the appliance automatically sets the operation to
achieve energy savings.
In COOLING mode, the temperature setting will increase 2
above the set temperature.
In HEATING mode, the temperature setting will decrease 2
below the set temperature.
1. Press the "ON / OFF" button to turn on appliance and select
a COOLING / HEATING mode.
2. Press the "ECO" button, the appliance will run in ECO mode.
3. Pressing the "ECO" button again will cancel the mode, "ECO"
will no longer be shown on the LCD screen.
NOTE:
The ECO function is available in COOLING and HEATING modes.
NOTE:
When setting a timer function, at each step failure to press buttons
within 10 seconds will terminate the timer setup.
If this happens you will need to re-start the timer setup procedure
at step 1.

1. Press the "ON / OFF" button to turn on appliance.
2. Set the desired mode and temperature setting as per basic
operations.
3. Press the "SLEEP" button, the appliance will run in "SLEEP"
mode:
For Cooling:
Allows the set temperature to increase and decrease over
a 10 hour period at pre-set time intervals to maintain your
comfort while saving energy (see graph below).
For Heating:
Allows the set temperature to decrease and increase over
a 10 hour period at pre-set time intervals to maintain your
comfort while saving energy (see graph below).
Sleep Mode
4. Pressing the "SLEEP" button again will cancel sleep mode.

NOTE:
Sleep mode is not available in Auto / DRY / FAN only mode.
In this mode you are unable to adjust FAN speed and
TURBO function is not available.
The appliance will turn off automatically after 10 hours in
sleep mode.
NOTE:
Attempting to select another mode operation will cancel this
SLEEP function.
