Automatic Voltage Converter
Instruction Manual
c. Switch on the converter
(1) Press the power switch to “ON” position and GREEN LED will light up.
(2) Switch “ON” the appliances one by one.
3. Caution
a. Avoid overloading
Do not connect to any appliances whose total wattage rating is beyond the maximum
power rating of the converter. When connected to an appliance with a built-in motor
compressor, the starting power is generally several times that of the appliance’s listed
power rating. Make sure that the total starting power capacity of all connected appli-
ances does not exceed the listed maximum output power of the converter. For color TV,
calculate twice the listed capacity. Make sure that the output voltage and frequency of
the converter is the same as the output voltage and frequency of the appliances.
b. Always place the converter in an environment that is:
- Well ventilated.
- Not exposed to direct sunlight or heat sources.
- Out of reach of children.
- Away from water moisture, oil or grease.
- Away from any ammable substance.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by authorized dealers or similarly
qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
c. When circuit breaker opens the circuit (for AVT-3000 to AVT-5000)
If circuit breaker opens the circuit (thae circuit breaker is in the “OFF’ position), which
means the converter is over loaded with too many appliances, which draws too much
power that will cause the circuit breaker to switch into the “OFF” position automatically,
if this happens, make sure the switch is in the “OFF” position, unplug the converter
from the wall outlet, then remove the connected appliances. Then re-connect the appli-
ances, (Ensuring that their combined rated power does not exceed the rating power of
the converter) and connect the converter to the mains electric. Push the circuit breaker
to “ON” position and switch on the appliances one by one.
e. When the RED LED lights up (Safety Mode)
(1) When the input voltage is out of range, the converter will go into high voltage/low
voltage protection status. The RED LED will light up. If that happens, turn “OFF- the
converter, wait for the mains voltage become more stable. Then, turn “ON” the con-
verter.
(2) This converter has the High Temperature Protection circuit to protect the transformer
and circuit inside. When the operation is over the limit, the converter will go into protec-
tion status and cut off the output, the RED LED will light up. If that happens, turn “OFF”
the converter and remove some connected appliances. Wait until the converters tem-
perature goes down. Then reconnect your devices and turn “ON” the converter.
Remarks: This model is single phase. Waveform is sinuous and without distortion.
