1 SAFETY AND WARNING INFORMATION
GENERAL. The correct and safe operation of the unit implies it’s proper and professional transport, storage, assembly
and careful operation and maintenance.
HANDLE WITH CARE. Do not drop.
Disconnect power and communication cables before moving.
WARNING! Do not put any body parts into the openings on the side of the device!
WARNING! Keepthepedalareaclearwhenpowerisapplied.Waituntilinit-sequenceisnished(nomoving)
before touching the pedals.
WARNING! The CLS-E rudder is not a toy. Small children under 16 years should not operate the rudder without supervision
of an adult. Depending on the settings, or in case of failure, axis can move in any direction and without warnings.
WARNING! Donotremovecover,theunitmustnotbeoperatedwithoutcover(protectivehoods)!
WARNING! Operation without a permanently installed pedal is not allowed!
WARNING! Theunitmustbemountedsecurelyonaatstablesurfacebeforeoperating!
POWER SUPPLY WARNING! Cautionelectricshock/rehazard!
Do not use any other power supply, as the one supplied by BRUNNER, with your CLS-E rudder.
WARNING ENVIRONMENT! For indoor use only. Do not expose to moisture, liquid, or heat.
NO REPAIR AND OPENING! The yoke is designed for lifetime lubrication.
WARNING! Do not operate device without proper footwear.
WARNING! Before allowing third-person operating the hardware, make sure that this third-person reads, understands
and accepts all warnings.
IMPORTANT ERGONOMIC INFORMATION. Long periods of repetitive motion using an improperly set-up workspace,
incorrect body position, and poor work habits may be associated with physical discomfort and injury to nerves, tendons,
and muscles.
NON-OBSERVANCE OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS MIGHT RESULT IN FAILURES OR IN CASE OF MALFUNCTIONS IN
INJURIES OF FEET OR LEGS!

2 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL
Open the box carefully and remove all packaging.
The following material is included:
1. CLS-E Rudder
2. USB Cable
3. Power supply with cable
4.Hexbitscrewdriver(5mm)
for pedal plate angle setting
5. This manual
MOUNTING & OPERATING CONDITION
1. The unit must be mounted with 4 Screws
securelyonaatsurfacebeforeoperating.
2. Keep a minimum of 5 cm distance around
the unit from any part.
3. Keep environmental temperature below 40°C max.
Use only in dry environment.
FIRST START
1. Connect the provided power supply to
CLS-E Rudder Power Plug.
2. Connect the CLS-E Rudder with your computer
via the provided USB cable.
3. Connect the AC main power Plug. The calibration
andinitializationsequencewillstartautomatically.
Axis are moving across their range.
DO NOT DISTURB THIS SEQUENZ UNTIL
THE PEDALS ARE CENTERED! THIS SEQUENCE
IS REPEATED EVERY TIME WHEN POWER IS
APPLIED.

CLS-E Rudder must show up in Windows as Game Controller
«CLSERudder»(standalonemode).

CLS2SIM (v3.18 Patch 3 or later)
For enabling additional Control Loading Features download CLS2Sim from
http://www.brunner-innovation.swiss/media(licenseisrequired,demomoderuns10min)
IftheoptionalCLS2SimSowareisinstalledallaxesaremappedbythesowareitself.
IN THIS CASE THE USB YAW AND BRAKES MAPPING FOR THE CLS-E RUDDER
MUST BE DISABLED IN THE SIMULATION SOFTWARE.

4 WIRING INSTRUCTION WITH CLS-E YOKE
CLS-E YOKE (V002 USB/RS232, CAN) & CLS-E RUDDER
Note:TheCLS2simlicenseisrunninginCLS-ERudder(theCLS-ERudderisdeliveredwithalicensefor2devices)
1. Connect CLS-E Rudder and PC using the provided USB cable
2. Connect CLS-E Yoke and CLS-E Rudder using a standard RJ45 Cat5 Ethernet cable between the CANopen Connector of
each device
CLS-E YOKE (V001 ETHERNET, USB, CAN) & CLS-E RUDDER
Note:TheCLS2simlicenseisrunninginCLS-ERudderorCLS-EYoke(theCLS-ERudderisdeliveredwithalicensefor2devices)
1. Connect CLS-E Yoke to PC using a standard Ethernet or the provided USB cable.
2. Connect CLS-E Yoke and CLS-E Rudder using a standard RJ45 Cat5 Ethernet cable between the CANopen Connector of each device.

1. Das Gerät muss mit 4 Schrauben auf eine
 stabileacheUnterlagemontiertwerden.
2. Mindestens 5 cm Abstand halten von jedem Teil
um das Gerät.
3. Umgebungstemperatur unter 40°C halten.
Nur in trockener Umgebung verwenden.

3 SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
USB TREIBER
USB Treiber wird automatisch beim ersten Einschalten der Speisung installiert.
DasCLS-ERuddererscheintinWindowsalsGameController„CLSERudder“»(standalonemode).
DieZ-AchsemussinderFlug-SimulationderYaw-Achsezugewiesenwerden.
Die X-Rotation Achse kann der linken Bremse, und die Y-Rotation Achse der rechten
Bremsezugewiesenwerden.
CLS2Sim (V3.18 Patch 3 oder neuer)
Für die erweiterten Control Loading Features laden sie CLS2sim unter
