ATTACHING THE GRINDING WHEEL GUARD
COAG7 7-Inch Angle Grinder Assembly & Operating Instructions 6
Be sure the COAG7 7-Inch Angle Grinder is unplugged
before making adjustments or performing any maintenance.
The Grinding Wheel Guard consists of one piece
of heavy grade metal and is attached to the angle grinder
by a nut and bolt. (A, Figure 1)
A small bulge in the ring (B, Figure 1) fits in a corresponding
groove in the Angle Grinder. (A, Figure 2)
Place the Grinding Wheel Guard on the grinder, with the bulge in the groove, and
then tighten the nut using the Hex wrench. Loosening the nut allows you to move the
Grinding Wheel Guard to best suit the situation. (Figure 3)
ATTACHING OR REPLACING A GRINDING WHEEL
Press the Spindle Lock Button located on top of the
grinder to lock the Spindle in place. (A, Figure 4)
Place the Disk Flange on the Spindle. Note that the Disk
Flange is shaped to fit the Spindle only one way. The two
horizontal lines face upward when set in place. (A, Figure 5)
With the tool turned upside down, and the Disk Flange in
place, slip the Grinding Wheel over the Spindle and into
the Grinding Wheel Cover. (Figure 6)
Place the Clamp Nut on the
Spindle and screw in place.
Once it is hand-tight, use
the wrench to tighten completely.
(Figures 5 & 6)
