This van rack (V-Series) product was launched to remedy loading and unloading
clearance issues in compact cargo vans and covered trucks. Your aluminum windshield
rack cuts down weight by 45%! 15" wall-side masts make for easy wall-side loading,
and the addition of two spaces with 4" on center masts accommodates windshields
with pre-applied modules.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: (A) Place right and left rails facing each other as shown above. (B) Place tall
end bracket into place and fasten (4 sets) of 3/8” x 3/4” bolts, 3/8“ lock washers, and
5/16” flat washers HAND TIGHT for now.
Step 2: (A) Put short end bracket into place and fasten with (4 sets) of 5/16” x 3/4”
button head bolts and 5/16” lock washers. Fasten HAND TIGHT for now.

Step 3: Once all of the fasteners are in place and hand tight, use a 9/16” box end
wrench and a 3/16” hex wrench to tighten all fasteners to approximately 30 lb./ft.
in eight places. The rack is now ready to be mounted onto its mounting surface.
Step 4: (A) The position for optimal placement of your Burco® V-rack is shown above.
The rack performs best mounted offset from the center of the vehicle. The shorter base
section of the rack should be positioned toward the vehicle’s center line. This positioning
utilizes the taller roof and will allow the rack to accommodate larger windshields. (B) Use
a tape measure to mark the center of the mounting surface. Once the rack is positioned
where you would like it, use a marker to mark these six drilling locations. READ STEP 5
PRIOR TO DRILLING.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Step 5: (A) Be aware of any and all equipment that is located below rack before
installing. If drilling holes into the floor or bed of a vehicle, verify clearance of any gas
lines, gas tanks, exhaust parts, or anything that is located directly underneath the
mounting holes. (B) Once you verify that it is safe to drill through the mounting surface,
drill holes with a letter “x” (.397”) drill bit in six locations. (C) Place the rack over the
drilled holes and then place (6 sets) of 3/8 x 1-3/4” bolts and 3/8” flat washers into each
of the six holes. (D) From underneath the vehicle, securely tighten (6 sets) of 3/8” nuts,
3/8” lock washers, and 3/8” flat washers.
