Topreventinjuries,observethefollowing:
▶Usethedeviceonlywhenitisinperfectconditionandinaccordancewiththeoperatinginstructions.
▶Donotmodifythedevice.
▶Do not mechanically load the device.
▶Secure the device or system to prevent unintentional activation.
▶Onlytrainedtechniciansmayperforminstallationandmaintenancework.
▶Install the device according to the regulations applicable in the respective country.
▶Afteraninterruptioninthepowersupply,ensurethattheprocessisrestartedinacontrolledmanner.

7.1 Installing the device
Thedevicewillbedeliveredfullyinstalled.Modicationstothedeviceareonlypermittedtobe
carriedoutbyBürkert.
→Installthedeviceonalevelsurfaceusing2screws(M4)and2atwashers(accordingtoDIN125).
Observethemaximumtighteningtorqueof1Nm.
→Earth the device via the earthing lead. The earthing lead is located at the lower device attachment.
Caution
Malfunctionduetoelectrostaticdischarge.
Electrostaticdischargeonthedevicemaycausemalfunctions.
▶Connectthedevicetothefunctionalearth.
Dangerduetoelectro-magneticelds.
Ifthefunctionalearth(FE)isnotconnected,thisrepresentsaninfringementofthelegalregulationsof
EMC.

Guaranteethedegreeofprotectionwhenscrewingonthecover.

▶Whenscrewingonthecover,observeamaximumtighteningtorqueof0.4Nm.

→InstalltheBürkertCommunicatoronthePC.
→UsetheUSB-büS-interfacetoestablishtheconnectionbetweenthedeviceandthePC.
NotrequiredforthedevicesinabüSnetwork.
→StarttheBürkertCommunicator.
→Inthemenubar,clicktheicon forAddinterface.
→Select büSstick or büSovernetwork.
→Finish.
