Non-authorized use of the Type ME24 may be dangerous to
people, nearby equipment, and the environment.
TheI/OmoduleTypeME24collects,convertsandcompares
physicalmeasurementdatafromexternalsensorsorreceives
switchingcommandsfrombüSparticipantsviathebüS
interface.Thismeasurementdataortheseswitchingcom-
mandsarerelayedtoexternalactuatorsortobüSparticipants
viathebüSinterface.

andconditionsofusespeciedinthecontractdocuments

software.

requiredforcongurationusingthe“BürkertCommuni-
cator”.SeeChapter„9Accessories“.

▶Disassemblymaybecarriedoutonlybytrainedtechnicians
andwiththeappropriatetools.
Detaching sensors and actuators:
→Ifrequired,removethecablexing.
→UnscrewfasteningscrewatthecoverofTypeME24(hexagon
socket2.5mm).
→Openandremovecover.
→Removeconnectionterminal.
→Disconnectthewiresfromtheconnectionterminalsandpull
outthecable.
→Reconnectconnectionterminal.
→Closecoverandtightenfasteningscrewatthecover.Max.
torque1Nm.
Removing ME24:
→UnscrewfasteningscrewforBackplane(hexagonsocket
2.5mm).
→RemoveTypeME24fromBackplane.
→DetachtypeME24fromthehinge.
