Terms and Conditions of Use
Pets
Abbee is a gentle little vacuum, so big pets like horses, dogs, cats etc. will be ne whilst
she’s working (though do try to save her from being stood on or eaten as your warranty
doesn’t cover things like that) but small pets like hamsters or bees may get hurt or
“sucked-up”, so keep them away from Abbee and in a safe place.
Water and liquids
Abbee is electrical and has a battery, neither like getting wet, so please don’t wash Abbee
or give her a bath. Equally, don’t spill drinks etc. on her. If she does get wet, your warranty
will be invalid.
Charging
Please make sure that you only use the charger that was supplied with Abbee. Dierent
chargers have dierent power outputs, so although you may have another that ts the
socket, please don’t use it as this could be dangerous and your warranty won’t cover
any damage done by using the wrong charger. Her charging station is the best charging
option, she’ll nd it herself whenever she needs it.
Clear floor areas
Abbee will work her way around a chair leg, bed, table, chest of draws etc. but will try to
eat shoe laces. Try to keep the oor clear of anything small that you don’t want vacuumed
up or that will get caught in her side brushes.
Warranty
Abbee has a 2 year warranty that includes parts, labour and return postage costs. All you
have to do is post her back to us with a little note saying what’s wrong and the return
address with your contact details. You’ll also need proof of purchase, a copy of the original
receipt is best.
We want you to be happy with Abbee, and many issues can be solved over the phone, so if
you have any questions about Abbee, how she works or what to do if you think something is
wrong, just give us a buzz 01235 841517

Setting the clock and work plan
Abbee needs to wake-up rst, so if the display is blank, press “ok” to wake her up, if she’s
already awake, follow the instructions below
To set the clock, press “clock”then “ok”, these need to be pressed quickly in succession.
The hours will ash and then press“mode” or “home”to advance or retard the hours, once
correct, press“ok” and then the minutes will ash. Change these the same way and then
press “ok”to nish setting the time. Finally set the day in the same manner, press “ok” and
it’s done.
To set the work plan, press “plan”, then change the day and time in the same way as you
set the clock until all 7 days are set.
Abbee will automatically return to standby mode if there is a big gap between pressing
the buttons.
That’s it, you’ve done all the programming you need to do and if you want any help with this,
give us a buzz on 01235 841517, we like to help.
If you want Abbee to clean at other times, simply press “clean”.
You can also press home when you want her to stop and go back to the charging base.
Setting up Abbee
Abbee’s battery, dust box and lter is already installed and so all you need to do is connect
her two side brushes and nd a suitable place for the charging station. Other bits you may
want are two little batteries (AAA size) for the remote control and two big batteries (D
size) for the virtual wall.
The rst thing to do is nd a good place for the charging station, ideally against a wall,
near a plug socket and somewhere that Abbee can nd (so will need to have about 3 foot
clear in front and to either side). Bear in mind that Abbee’s eye is only 4 inches o the
ground, so under a bed, side board or other furniture is ne, as long as you can reach it.
Once you’ve decided where, plug in and switch on (a little blue light will come on the top).
Now get Abbee and turn her over. You’ll notice two small spindles (one with an “L” and
the other with an “R”next to them), take two of the side brushes and push them on the
spindles (the other two brushes in the box are spares).
Now turn her over again. There may be some power already in the battery, so try and
switch her on with the red power switch on the side, if she springs to life, we’ll set the
clock and work plan now, if not, then switch her o and put her onto the charging station.
When she connects to the charging station, you’ll hear“please open the power switch” this
means switch her on. This may sound daft and you think, why switch her o rst if I’m only
going to have to switch her back on?, well because if she’s already on, she’ll sometimes try
and reverse o the charger. She’s ne when she does things herself.
Once she’s had awhile charging (up to 4 hours) we can set the clock and work plan.
5. 6.

Adding the pet hair brush set
Turn Abbee over and you’ll see there’s a clip next to the right wheel, pull across and lift out
the vacuum section. The brush set goes back in the same way.
Adding the optional mop
Fill the mop water tank with water, dampen the cloth and stick it to the bottom (at side)
of the mop attachment. Then push the whole mop onto the back of Abbee, turn over and
set to work!
Note; if you live in a hard water area, please boil the water rst in a lter kettle, then, once
the water has cooled, pour into the water tank.
Virtual Wall
If you’ve got an area you don’t want her to clean, or an open door way she mustn’t cross,
just turn on the virtual wall (you’ll need 2“D” size batteries), put it pointing along the line
she mustn’t cross and she’ll be very good and not cross the line. (there’s an arrow on the
top so you know which way to point it)
Emptying Abbee
Once Abbee has nished, she’ll need emptying. To do this rmly press the top cover
where it says “push”, the cover will spring open where you’ll nd the dust box. Simply lift
out, open the lid, then lift the primary lter and then empty into a bin (not provided). The
lters can be occasionally cleaned with a soft brush or rinsed under a tap, ensure that the
lters are fully dry before putting back.
7. 8.

Useful hints for Abbee
Clear the oor, Abbee will get stuck on clothes, shoes etc.
Be patient, Abbee works by initially a random“zigzag” motion, then she’ll clean the edges.
Occasionally she’ll go in circles to do a little “spot” cleaning, but she’ll need plenty of time
to complete a typical room.
If she stops picking up, check the dust box isn’t full and there are no blockages.
If she suddenly goes backwards, she probably thinks there’s a big hole she’s about to fall
down. This could be caused by three things, rst, there’s a big hole or she’s found the top
of the staircase, secondly, it could be one of her sensors (there are ve underneath, one at
the front and two either side by the main wheels) is covered or dirty, or nally she thinks
there’s a hole because there is a dramatic change in colour (if you have black & white tiles,
this could cause a problem).
If you have any questions, remember we’re here to help, just give us a buzz on
