2. SAfETy INfORMATION
• Checkthattheseal(F)betweentheStem(E)andthegascylinderisinplaceandingoodconditionbeforeconnectingto
thegascylinder(SeeFig.1.)
• Donotusetheapplianceifithasadamagedorwornseal.
• Donotuseanappliancethatisleaking,damagedorwhichdoesnotoperateproperly.
• Usethisapplianceonlyonarmlevelsurface.
• Ensuretheapplianceisusedawayfromammablematerials.Minimumsafedistancesare:Abovetheappliance1.2m.At
therearandsides0,6m(SeeFig.2)
• Ensurethat the applianceis tted tothegas cylinderina well-ventilated location,preferably outdoors, awayfromany
sourcesofignition,suchasnakedames,pilots,electricresandawayfromotherpeople.
• Ifthereisaleakonyourappliance(smellofgas),takeitoutsideimmediatelyintoawell-ventilatedamefreelocation
wheretheleakmaybedetectedandstopped.Ifyouwishtocheckforleaksonyourappliance,doitoutside.Donottryto
detectleaksusingaame,usesoapywater.
• Intheeventoflightback(wheretheameburnsbackandignitesatthejet(G)immediatelyturnoffthegassupplybyclosing
thecylindervalveusingthecontrolknob(Seeg.1).Aftertheameisextinguished,re-lighttheapplianceasdescribedin
Section4below.Shouldtheamelightbackagain,returntheappliancetoyourauthorisedCADACrepairagent.
3. ASSEMbly INSTRUCTIONS
• TheCADACSkottelBraaiiseasytoassembleandprepareforuse.
• Totthestem(E)tothegascylinder,rstcheckthatthecylindervalveisinthe“off”positionbyturningthecontrolknob
clockwisetoits“stop”(SeeFig.1).Screwthestemintothecylinderinaclockwisedirectionuntilitisfullyengaged.
• Tightenbyhandonly.
• Placetheburnerpan(B)onthestem,makingsurethattheburnertube(C)fullyengagesonthestem(E).
• Placetheskottel(A)ontheburnerpan,makingsurethattheskottellocators(H)sitproperlyontheoutsidelipoftheBurner
Pan(B).
