KEYLESS ACCESS SYSTEM
Lock
Press to lock all doors and the locking fuel door

Press to unlock the driver’s door and locking fuel

Remote Start
Aer locking the vehicle and while in range, press twice to start the
engine from outside the vehicle. Aer entering the vehicle, press
the ENGINE START/STOP buon.
Vehicle Locator/Panic Alarm
Press and release to locate your vehicle. e exterior lamps ash
and the horn chirps 3 times.
Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate the alarm. Press again to
cancel the alarm.
Power Release Trunk
Press twice to open the trunk.
Door/Glovebox Key
Press the buon (A) on the side of the key fob to pull out the key.
Refer to your Owner’s Manual for instructions on removing the key
cylinder cap on the driver’s door handle.
Note: To change or enable some Remote Keyless Entry settings, go to
Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock, Start.

e Keyless Access System enables operation of the doors and trunk
without removing the Remote Keyless Entry transmier (key fob)
from your pocket or purse. e key fob must be within 3 feet of the
trunk or door being unlocked/locked.
KEYLESS UNLOCKING
With the key fob within range:
Press the touch pad (A) on the inside of the driver’s door handle
to unlock the driver’s door only or all doors, including the trunk
and locking fuel door

Press the touch pad on the inside of a passenger door handle to
unlock all doors, including the trunk and locking fuel door

Press the touch pad above the license plate to open the trunk.
KEYLESS LOCKING
With the key fob within range:

matically aer a short delay when the ignition is o, the key fob
is removed from the vehicle, and all doors are closed, go to
Seings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock, Start > Passive Door
Lock.
To have the driver's door or all doors unlock when using the
touch pad on the driver's door handle, go to Seings > Vehicle >
Remote Lock, Unlock, Start > Passive Door Unlock.

KEYLESS START
e Remote Keyless Entry transmit-
ter (key fob) must be in the vehicle
to turn on the ignition.
START
With the vehicle in Park or
Neutral, press and hold the brake
pedal and then press the ENGINE
START/STOP buon to start
theengine. e green indicator on the buon will illuminate.
Note: If the key fob battery is weak, place the key fob in the rearward cup-
holder of the center console to enable the engine to start. Replace the key
fob battery as soon as possible.
STOP/OFF
Shi to Park and then press the ENGINE START/STOP buon
to turn o theengine.
Retained Accessory Power will be available aer the engine is
turned o for up to 10 minutes, or until the driver's door is opened,
to operate the radio, power outlets, OnStar
♦
and wireless phone
charging system

stop when any door is opened.
ACCESSORY
With the engine o and the brake pedal NOT depressed, press
the ENGINE START/STOP buon to place the ignition system
in the Accessory mode. e amber indicator on the buon will
illuminate.

AUTO ENGINE STOP/START
e fuel-saving stop/start system
automatically turns o the engine,
referred to as an Auto Stop, when
the brake pedal is pressed and the
vehicle is at a complete stop, if cer-
tain operating conditions are met. In
Auto Stop mode, the tachometer will
read AUTO STOP. When the brake
pedal is released or the accelerator pedal is pressed, the engine will
restart. Aer parking the vehicle and turning o the engine, the
tachometer will read OFF.
e engine may remain running or restart when the vehicle is
stopped if:
• A minimum vehicle speed was not reached prior to stopping.
• e engine or transmission is not at the required operating
temperature.
• e outside temperature is not in the required operating range.
• e shi lever is in any gear other than Drive (D).
• e baery charge is low.
• e current climate control seings require the engine to run.
• e Auto Stop has reached the maximum allowed time.
AUTO ENGINE STOP/START DISABLE
Press the
$
Auto Stop buon near the front of the center con-
sole to turn o the automatic stop/start system. e buon
indicator turns o when the system is disabled.
e system is turned on each time the vehicle is started.

e Driver Mode Selector system can automatically adjust the steer-
ing, braking, engine sound and other♦tuning in real time. Pressing
the MODE buon on the center console displays the mode menu on
the instrument cluster and activates the next available mode.

e mode features vary. Not all vehicles have all features.

e automatic transmission shi paern is displayed on top of the
shi lever with the selected gear position illuminated in red. e
shi lever always starts in the center position and, aer shiing,
returns to the center position.
Park – Press the buon
(A) on top of the lever to
shi into Park. To shi
out of Park, press and
hold the shi lock but-
ton (B) on the side of the
lever while selecting the
desired gear.
Reverse – Press and
hold the shi lock but-
ton (B) and move the lever forward completely (pass the detent) to
shi into Reverse.
Neutral – Move the lever forward (to the detent) to shi into
Neutral.
Note: The transmission will not stay in Neutral for an extended period. It will
automatically shift into Park. See Automated Car Wash Mode on page 19.
Drive – Move the lever rearward to shi into Drive.
Tap Shi Mode – With the transmission in Drive, pull back on the
shi lever to shi manually. Pull the le steering wheel paddle to
downshi and the right steering wheel paddle to upshi. Pull back
on the shi lever again to return to Drive.
To engage Temporary Tap Shi Mode, pull either the le (down-
shi) or right (upshi) steering wheel paddle without moving
the shi lever. e transmission will return to automatic shiing
approximately 7–10 seconds aer the last manual shi.

Press and release to answer an incoming call or to
use voice recognition with the OnStar, Bluetooth
and infotainment systems. Press and hold for 3
seconds to use Bluetooth Voice Recognition (Siri
or Google Assistant).
End Call/Mute
Press to end/decline a call or mute/unmute the
audio system.

e Driver Information Center (DIC) on the instrument cluster
displays a variety of vehicle information.

1. Press the Home buon.
2. To enter edit mode, touch and hold the icon to move.
3. Drag the icon to the Applications Tray or the desired position
on the screen.
4. Aer positioning all icons as desired, select Done.
STORING STATION FAVORITES
Radio stations from all bands (AM, FM or SiriusXM

) can be stored
in any order. Source options are on the le side of the Audio page.
1. Display the desired radio station.
2. Touch and hold a favorite screen buon. Favorites also can be
saved by touching the in a station or channel list.
PORTABLE AUDIO DEVICES
USB ports (A) for data and charging are located in the center con-
sole storage compartment.
Connect an iPod®, iPhone®,
MP3 player, USB ash drive
or USB mass storage device
to the USB port.
Touch Audio, and then

e personalized content of SiriusXM with 360L oers over 200
channels, including ad-free music, sports, comedy, talk and news,
along with access to On Demand shows, performances and inter-
views. Certain features require a SiriusXM subscription and the
Cadillac Connected Access plan. See siriusxm.com and onstar.com
for details.
APPLE CARPLAY® AND ANDROID AUTO™
Apple CarPlay or Android Auto capability is available through a
compatible phone using the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto icon on
the Home page.
1. Download the Android Auto app to your phone from the Google
Play Store. No app is required for Apple CarPlay.
2. ere are two ways to set up device projection:
• Wireless Connection – Connect your phone by pairing it
to the in-vehicle Bluetooth system. Turn on wireless Apple
CarPlay or Android Auto in your phone’s seings.
• Wired Connection – Connect your phone to a USB data port
using the USB cable provided with your phone. Aermarket
USB cables may not work.
3. Follow the instructions on the infotainment screen and phone.
4. e Apple CarPlay or Android Auto icon will illuminate when
connected. Touch the icon to have your apps displayed.
To exit Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, press the Home
buon. To return to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, press and
hold the Home buon.

IN-VEHICLE APPS

In-vehicle apps oering entertainment, news, weather, travel infor-
mation and more, including Amazon Alexa Built-In, are available
on the infotainment screen or can be downloaded through the Apps
icon. Downloading and using the apps require internet connectivity,
and may require a data plan, accessed through the vehicle’s avail-
able 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot, if active, or a mobile hotspot. Go to
onstar.com for data plan information.
VOICE RECOGNITION
Control the music source, enter a navigation destination

, make
phone calls hands-free, and perform other tasks using the natural
voice recognition system.
1. Press and release the Push to Talk buon on the steering
wheel.
2. e system will play a
prompt.
3. Aer the prompt, say
what you want it to do.
• Examples: “Call Dave” or
“Tune to 99.5 FM”
• Say “Help” for voice recognition assistance
BLUETOOTH VOICE RECOGNITION
Bluetooth Voice Recognition allows access to the voice recogni-
tion commands on a compatible, paired phone; e.g., Siri®or Google
Assistant.
To activate Bluetooth Voice Recognition, press and hold the
Push to Talk buon for a few seconds.

BLUETOOTH® SYSTEM
Read your Owner's Manual for important information about using the
Bluetooth system while driving.
To use a Bluetooth-enabled device, it must be paired with the in-
vehicle Bluetooth system. Not all devices will support all functions.
e pairing process is disabled when the vehicle is moving. For
more information, visit my.cadillac.com/how-to-support.
PAIR A PHONE
1. To use voice recognition, press the Push to Talk buon; aer
the prompt, say "Pair Phone." To use the infotainment screen,
select the Phone icon > Connect Phone > Add Phone.
2. Start the pairing process on your phone. From the Bluetooth
seings, select the name shown on the infotainment screen.
3. Follow the pairing instructions.
4. When pairing is complete, the phone screen is displayed.
SECONDARY PHONE
A secondary phone can be paired to the Bluetooth system. e
system connects to the phone that is set to First to Connect.
e secondary phone can only receive calls.
To set the rst and secondary phones, select the Phone icon >
Phones and then the Information icon.
STREAMING AUDIO
With a device connected via Bluetooth, touch the Audio icon, and
then touch More, if necessary, to select Bluetooth as the audio
source.

from the charging pad.
3. Place the phone, screen
up, on the pad.

remove the phone for 3 seconds and rotate it 180 degrees before
placing it on the charging pad again.

With the vehicle’s available built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot, up to
7 devices (smartphones, tablets and laptops) can be connected to
high-speed internet. Some services require a data plan.
To retrieve the name and password for the hotspot, select the
Wi-Fi Hotspot icon on the infotainment screen or go to Seings
> System > Wi-Fi Hotspot.

Valet Mode can be used to provide only authorized users with
access to personalized features.
To lock/unlock the infotainment screen, select Seings >
Vehicle > Valet Mode and enter a passcode.

TEEN DRIVER
Teen Driver allows multiple keys to be registered for beginning
drivers. When active, the system automatically activates certain
safety systems, allows the seing of some features, and limits the
use of others. An in-vehicle Report Card records vehicle data about
driving behavior. When the vehicle is started with a registered key,
a Driver Information Center message displays that Teen Driver is
active.
To create a Personal Identication Number, register a key,
change Teen Driver seings, or access the Report Card, go to
Seings > Vehicle > Teen Driver.

e Universal Remote System on the overhead console enables
your vehicle to control 3 dierent devices, ranging from garage
doors and gates to home lighting. Go to homelink.com for detailed
videos and instructions on how to program the Universal Remote

OPEN/CLOSE THE SUNSHADE
Press the Sunshade switch to express-open both sunshades.
Pull the switch to express-close both sunshades. Press or
pull the switch again to stop movement.
OPEN/CLOSE THE SUNROOF
Press the TILT switch to vent the sunroof. Pull the
switch to close the sunroof.
Press the SLIDE switch to express-open the front sunroof.
Pull the switch to express-close the front sunroof. Press or
pull the switch again to stop movement.

AUTOMATIC OPERATION
Press AUTO. e system automatically controls the fan speed,
air delivery, air conditioning and recirculation to reach the set
temperature. If a function is manually adjusted, the auto
indicator turns o and automatic operation for that function is
disabled. Functions that have not been adjusted will stay in
auto mode.
SYNC TEMPERATURE SETTINGS
Press SYNC to synchronize all climate zone seings to the
driver’s seings.
CABIN AIR CLEANING IONIZER
♦
e ionizer, which removes contaminants such as pollen and dust
to help clean the air inside the vehicle, turns on automatically
with the climate control system. e ionizer status is shown on the
climate control display on the infotainment screen.
To turn on or o, go to Seings > Vehicle > Climate and Air
Quality > Ionizer.

e climate seings can be adjusted using the climate control buons or by selecting Climate on the Home page of the infotainment system.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING WINDSHIELD WIPERS
Rotate the control band to activate the exterior lamps.
O/On
AUTO Automatic Light Control
Automatically activates the Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) or
theheadlamps and other exterior lamps depending on outside light
conditions.

INTELLIBEAM SYSTEM
♦
Press the buon on the end of the lever with the lamp control in the
AUTO or Headlamps position to turn the automatic high-beam
system on or o while driving at night. A green indicator dis-
plays on the instrument cluster when the system is on; a blue
indicator displays when the high-beam headlamps are on.
Note: IntelliBeam activates the high-beam headlamps only when driving
over 25 mph.

HI Fast Wipes
LO Slow Wipes
INT Intermittent Wipes/AUTO Rainsense™ Sensitivity
Rotate the band up for more frequent wipes or down for less
frequent wipes.
To turn Rainsense mode on or o, go to Seings > Vehicle >
Comfort and Convenience > Rainsense Wipers.
Note: When entering an automatic car wash, turn o the Rainsense
windshield wipers.

seat (not shown) to view and select the massage seings displayed
on the infotainment screen. Press the massage recall buon (E) on
the side of the seat to activate the most recent massage seing.
AUTOMATIC HEATED/VENTILATED FRONT SEATS

When the vehicle is turned on, the heated or ventilated front
seats may automatically activate based on the vehicle’s interior
temperature.
To turn the automatic heated and ventilated front seats on or
o, go to Seings > Vehicle > Climate and Air Quality > Auto
Heated Seats and Auto Cooled Seats.
SET SEAT MEMORY

POSITIONS
With the ignition On or in Accessory mode:
1. Adjust the driver’s
seat, power steering
column

and power
outside mirrors to the
desired positions.
2. Press and release the
SET buon on the
driver’s door. A beep
will sound.
3. Immediately press and hold buon 1 or 2 until two beeps
sound. Use the buon that matches the Driver Information
Center welcome message indicating driver 1 or 2.
To store seat and power steering column

positions for more
clearance when exiting the vehicle, repeat the steps using the
Exit buon.
RECALL SEAT MEMORY

POSITIONS
Press and hold buon 1, 2 or Exit until the set position is
reached.
To set the memory/exit positions to be recalled automatically
when the ignition is turned on/o (for exit recall, the driver’s
door must be opened), go to Seings > Vehicle > Seating
Position > Seat Entry Memory and Seat Exit Memory.

DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS
Safety or driver assistance features are not a substitute for the driver’s
responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should
remain attentive to traic, surroundings and road conditions at all times.
Read your Owner’s Manual for important feature limitations and information.
SAFETY ALERT SEAT – e driver’s seat pulses (le, right, or both
sides) to alert you of the direction of potential hazards. Audible
alerts may be selected instead of seat-pulsing alerts.
To change the alert
seings, go to Seings
> Vehicle > Collision/
Detection Systems >
Alert Type.
LANE CHANGE ALERT
WITH SIDE BLIND ZONE
ALERT – While driving,
the system displays a
warning symbol on the le- or right-side mirror when a mov-
ing vehicle is detected rapidly approaching or is in that side blind
zone. e symbol ashes if a turn signal is activated when a vehicle
has been detected on the same side.
To turn the system on or o, go to Seings > Vehicle > Collision/
Detection Systems > Lane Change Alert.
FORWARD COLLISION ALERT – e Vehicle Ahead Indicator
on the instrument cluster is green when a vehicle is detected ahead
that you’re following and is amber when following a detected vehicle
ahead much too closely. When approaching a detected vehicle
directly ahead too rapidly, a red alert ashes on the windshield and
the Safety Alert Seat pulses or rapid beeps sound (if selected).

wheel to set the alert timing to Far, Medium or Near. is is also
the Adaptive Cruise Control

Follow Distance Gap seing.
FOLLOWING DISTANCE INDICATOR – e following distance to the
vehicle ahead is indicated in seconds under the Info menu on the
Driver Information Center. If no vehicle is detected ahead, dashes
are displayed.
LANE KEEP ASSIST WITH LANE DEPARTURE WARNING – e
system may help you avoid collisions due to unintentional
lane departures. e Lane Keep Assist indicator is green if
the system is available to assist. If the vehicle unintentionally
approaches a detected lane marking, the system may assist by gen-
tly turning the steering wheel to help prevent lane departure and
display an amber . If active driver steering is not detected, the
amber may ash and the Safety Alert Seat may pulse or beeps
may sound (if selected) on the side of the departure direction as the
lane marking is crossed. e system does not continuously steer the
vehicle; the driver needs to steer and be in complete control of the
vehicle. Alerts do not occur when using the turn signal in the lane
departure direction or intentional lane departure is detected.
Press the Lane Keep Assist buon (A) on the instrument
panel center controls to turn the system on or o.
FRONT PEDESTRIAN BRAKING – During daytime driving below
50 mph, the system can detect pedestrians directly ahead and
displays an amber indicator on the instrument cluster. When
approaching a detected pedestrian too quickly, a red alert ashes
on the windshield and the Safety Alert Seat pulses or rapid beeps
sound (if selected). e system may automatically provide hard
emergency braking or enhance the driver’s hard braking, if you
have not already done so. Nighime and low-visibility performance
are limited.
To set to Alert and Brake, Alert, or O, go to Seings > Vehicle >
Collision/Detection Systems > Front Pedestrian Detection.

DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS
AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING – At speeds below 50 mph,
the system works with Forward Collision Alert to help you avoid or
reduce the severity of front-end collisions with a detected vehicle
you're following. Camera technology is used to automatically pro-
vide hard emergency braking or enhance the driver's hard braking.
To set Automatic Emergency Braking and Forward Collision
Alert to Alert and Brake, Alert, or O, go to Seings > Vehicle >
Collision/Detection Systems > Forward Collision System.
REVERSE AUTOMATIC BRAKING
♦
– In detected potentially
imminent collision situations with some objects behind your
vehicle while in Reverse, the system can provide alerts and hard
emergency braking, if you have not already done so, to help reduce
the severity or help avoid collisions at very low speeds.
Press the Park Assist buon (B) on the instrument panel
center controls to turn Reverse Automatic Braking and Park
Assist on or o.

PARK ASSIST – During
low-speed parking
maneuvers, the sys-
tem provides “distance
to closest object”
information on the
Driver Information
Center and the Safety
Alert Seat pulses or a
beep sounds (if selected). When an object is very close, the Safety
Alert Seat pulses or 5 beeps sound (if selected).
Press the Park Assist (B) on the instrument panel center
controls to turn Park Assist and Reverse Automatic Braking on
or o.
REAR PEDESTRIAN ALERT
♦
– During daytime driving with the
vehicle in Reverse, the system can detect pedestrians directly
behind the vehicle and will display an amber indicator on the
infotainment screen. When a pedestrian is detected close to the
vehicle, the indicator ashes red and the Safety Alert Seat pulses or
rapid beeps sound (if selected). Nighime and low-visibility perfor-
mance are limited.
To set to Alert or O, go to Seings > Vehicle > Collision/
Detection Systems > Rear Pedestrian Detection.
REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT – When in Reverse, the system
warns of detected cross-trac coming in either direction by dis-
playing a red alert on the infotainment screen and the le or right
side of the Safety Alert Seat pulses or beeps sound (if selected).
To turn on or o, go to Seings > Vehicle > Collision/Detection
Systems > Rear Cross Trac Alert.
HD REAR VISION CAMERA – When in Reverse below 8 mph, a view
of the area behind the vehicle displays on the infotainment screen .
HD SURROUND VISION
♦
– e system uses multiple cameras to
display a high-resolution image of the area around your vehicle
along with front and rear camera views on the infotainment
screen. e system operates when in Reverse or Drive while mov-
ing less than 8 mph.
e Surround Vision
camera also can be
activated by selecting
the Camera icon on the
Home page or by press-
ing the Surround
Vision buon (C) on
the instrument panel
center controls.

AUTOMATIC PARKING ASSIST WITH BRAKING
♦
e Automatic Parking Assist with Braking system steers the vehi-
cle at idle speed and applies the brakes to help you park the vehicle
while you follow commands and control the gear selection.
1. While driving below 18 mph, press the Park Assist but-
ton on the instrument panel center controls. A parking assist
display is shown on the infotainment screen.
2. To switch between
parallel and perpen-
dicular parking, touch
the Parking Type
screen buon. To
search for a parking
spot to the right or
le, touch the Parking
Side screen buon.
3. Once a space is found, shi the vehicle into Reverse or Drive as
directed and follow the instructions on the infotainment screen.
e vehicle automatically steers and brakes, moving at idle
speed into a detected parking space. e driver must follow the
instructions, select gears, and override braking and acceleration
as needed. Parking Complete will be displayed and a beep will
sound when the parking maneuver is complete.
AUTOMATIC VEHICLE HOLD
Automatic Vehicle Hold will hold the vehicle stationary aer the
brake pedal has been released and until the accelerator pedal is
pressed. e indicator illuminates in green on the instrument
cluster when the system is holding the vehicle.
To turn the system on or o, press the AUTO HOLD buon on
the center console.

TRACTION CONTROL
e traction control system limits wheelspin in dicult driving
conditions. e system turns on automatically every time the
vehicle is started. Turn o traction control if the vehicle is stuck
and rocking the vehicle is required.
Press the Traction Control buon at the front of the center
console to turn the system o or on again. e Traction
Control O light will illuminate on the instrument cluster when
the system is o.

REAR CAMERA MIRROR

e Rear Camera Mirror uses a camera mounted inthe roof anten-
na to provide a wider, less-
obstructed eld of view
than a traditional mirror to
assist when driving, chang-
ing lanes and checking
trac conditions.

the boom of the mirror to
turn the video display on or o.
B. Selection Control
Press and release the buon to select the brightness, zoom, or tilt
seing.
C. Adjustment Controls
Press and release either buon to adjust the selected seing.

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM
ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE
AUTOMATED CAR WASH MODE
POWER RELEASE TRUNK
e Low Tire Pressure warning light on the instrument cluster
illuminates when one or more of the vehicle’s tires is signicantly
underinated. Fill the tires to the proper tire pressures listed on
the Tire and Loading Information label, located below the driver’s
door latch. Current tire pressures can be viewed on the Driver
Information Center.
With the ignition On or in Accessory mode, the Tire Fill Alert will
provide visual and audible alerts when inating a tire. When the
recommended tire pressure is reached, the horn sounds and the
turn signal changes from a ashing to a solid light.

To apply the park
brake, press the
Park Brake switch on
the le side of the
instrument panel.
To release the park
brake, turn on the
ignition, press the
brake pedal, and then
press the switch.

When using an automatic car wash, there are dierent procedures
for placing the automatic transmission in Neutral with the engine
on or o, and when the driver exits the vehicle. Refer to your
Owner’s Manual for each procedure.
