SAFETY INSTRUCTION
Caution:
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove any covers. No user-serviceable parts inside, refer any servicing to
qualied service personnel.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Read and keep these instructions available for future reference.
• The unit must only be connected to a 12 Volt D.C. vehicle with a negative earth (ground) power supply.
• Ensure all wiring connections are properly made and insulated where required. Never bridge or combine the
speaker wire outputs. When not using four speakers, use electrical tape to tape the ends of the unused
speaker outputs to prevent a short circuit. Never ground the negative speaker terminals to chassis ground.
Take great care not to short out any of the speaker connection wires to each other or to ground.
• Use only the parts provided with unit to ensure proper installation. The use of unauthorised parts may
cause malfunction.
• Consult with your dealer if installation requires the drilling of holes or modication to the vehicle.
• Install the unit where it does not get in the driver’s way and cannot injure the passenger in event of an
emergency stop.
• If the angle of installation exceeds 30° from the horizontal, the unit may not give its optimum performance.
• Ensure the cooling ns on the rear of the unit are not covered, to ensure adequate air ow or cooling.
• The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing.
• Take care that foreign objects do not enter, or liquids are not spilled, into the case through any openings. If
this should happen, refer to qualied service personnel before attempting to use.
• Playing at high volume can hinder the driver’s concentration on trafc and road conditions and constitutes a
safety hazard.

INSTALLING THE UNIT INTO THE ISO DASHBOARD SLOT
Notes:
• Choose a mounting location where the unit will not interfere with the normal driving function of the driver.
• Before nally installing the unit, connect the wiring temporarily and make sure it is connected properly and the
unit and system are working properly.
• Use only the parts included with the unit to ensure proper installation. The use of unauthorized parts can
cause malfunctions.
• Consult with your nearest dealer if installation requires the drilling of holes or other modications of
the vehicle.
• Install the unit where it does not get in the driver’s way and cannot injure the passenger if there is a sudden
stop, like an emergency stop.
• If installation angle exceeds 30° from horizontal, the unit might not give its optimum performance.

• Avoid installing the unit where it would be subject to high temperature, such as from direct sunlight, or hot air,
from the heater, or where it would be subject to dust, dirt or excessive vibration.
DIN FRONT/REAR-MOUNT
This unit can be installed either from “Front” (conventional DIN Front-mount) or “Rear” (DIN Rear-mount installation,
utilizing threaded screw holes at the sides of the unit chassis). For details, refer to the following illustrated installation
methods.
TAKE OUT TRANSIT SCRES BEFORE INSTALLATION
Before installing the unit, please remove the two transit screws.

 
INSTALLING THE UNIT
Package will include in the following accessories for installation and operation of the unit
Take out screw
before installation.
• Detach the mounting sleeve (D) and frame (B) from the unit housing. Use the assembly keys (C) to do so.
• Fit the mounting sleeve into the ISO dashboard slot.
• Bend the mounting sleeve tabs over with a screwdriver so that the frame is mounted securely in the
dashboard slot.
• Check that the frame is secure.
• Connect the ISO connection of the unit to the two ISO
connectors of your vehicle
• Connect the antenna cable of the vehicle antenna to the
antenna adapter of the unit.
• If necessary, also secure your unit against theft. Fasten
the screws to the mounting bracket and to the
mounting material on the engine rewall of the car.
• Slide the unit carefully into the mounting sleeve, until it
clicks into place.
• After all connections have been made, press the RESET
button using a ballpoint pen or other pointed object.
• Attach the control panel (A), as described under “Attach control panel“.
Caution:
Possible damage to the cables!
-> When inserting the unit, pay attention to the cable routing to prevent damage.
-> Then mount the frame.


REMOVING THE UNIT
To remove the unit, proceed as follows:
• Remove the frame.
• Insert the right and left hand assembly keys into the respective slots on the sides of the unit. (The locking tabs
are now released.)
• Pull out the unit.
Note:
-> If the housing is uneven, the tabs on the mounting sleeve may become jammed. Use the assembly keys to release
the tabs.
TO ATTACH THE FRONT PANEL
Hold the right side of the front panel with the plate facing downwards.
First attach the left side of the front panel to the unit by inserting the hole into the
left holder. Then slightly push it leftwards and attach the right side hole into the
right holder. Finally push up the front panel.
REMOVING AND PROTECTING DETACHABLE FRONT PANEL
The front panel of the unit may be removed as a theft deterrent. After removing the
front panel, use the case provided to keep the front panel from getting damaged.
1. Press the OPEN button to ip down the front panel.
2. Grasp the right side of the front panel, and then gently push the front panel towards
the left side before pulling it out from the unit.
3. Store the front panel in the protective case provided for safe keeping.

WIRING DIAGRAM
Caution:
12V DC NEGATIVE GROUND

CONTROL PANEL
DETACHING THE CONTROL PANEL
Turn the Power off.
Press OPEN button to release the panel.
Push the panel to the left in 45 degrees and then pull it out
towards you.
ATTACHING THE CONTROL PANEL
Insert the left side of the control panel into the main unit.
Press the control panel right side until the “click” sound is heard.
Caution:
DO NOT insert the control panel from the right side. It can damage the control panel.
The control panel can easily be damaged by shocks. After removing it, place it in a protective case and be careful not
to drop it or subject it to strong shocks. The rear connector that connects the main unit and the control panel is an
extremely important part. Be careful not to damage it by pressing on it with ngernails, pens, screwdrivers, etc.
Note:
If the control panel is dirty, wipe off the dirt with soft, dry cloth only. And use a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol
to clean the socket on the back of the control panel
RESET THE UNIT
Operating the unit for the rst time or after replacing the car battery, you must reset the unit. Press OPEN button on
the panel to open the panel and press RESET button to restore the unit to its original factory settings.
POWER ON/OFF
Press power button to turn on the unit. Press and hold PWR button on front panel to switch the unit off.
Note:
After the unit is off, the volume level and radio current settings will be memorized, and when you turn the unit on it will
resume the stored status you previously set.
VOLUME CONTROL
Rotate VOl kno on front panel to adjust the volume level.
TURNING THE SOUND OFF
Press MUTE button to turn the sound off. Press it again to turn the sound on.
SETTING THE SOUND CHARACTERISTICS
Short press and repeat SEL button on the front panel to select the audio settings: VOLUME => BASS => TRED =>
BAL => FAD. Rotate VOL knob on front panel to adjust each setting.
Note:
-> If the unit is turned off, all the settings of each mode will be saved.
-> If cutting off battery power or resetting the unit, all the settings will return to factory default settings.

SETTINGS OTHER FEATURES
Press SEL button and hold on the panel, and then shortly press this button repeatedly to select a setting. Rotate Vol-
ume Knob on the panel to adjust each setting, press SEL button to conrm the each setting.
AF => INVOL => ADJ => BEEP => TA VOL => EON => EQ => LOUD => LOC (in radio mode only) => REG =>
STEREO (in radio mode only) => ALARM
INVOL
When INVOL is selected, rotate the volume knob clockwise to boost the default startup volume, rotate the volume
knob counterclockwise to to decrease the default startup volume.
ADJ
When ADJ (clock) is selected, rotate the volume knob clockwise to increase the hours, rotate the volume knob coun-
terclockwise to increase the minutes.
BEEP
The car audio device is equipped with 3 beep tone modes.
- Beep 2nd mode: The beep sound will be heard when you hold down a button with a dual function, which activates
the second function of this button.
- Beep all mode: The beep sound is on when any key is pressed.
- Beep off mode: The beep sound is disabled.
TA VOL
When TAVOL is selected, rotate the volume knob clockwise to boost the TA volume, rotate the volume knob counter-
clockwise to decrease the TA volume.
EON
When EON is selected (ON is default), rotate the volume knob to select EON ON or OFF
EQ
When DIGITAL SOUND PROCESSOR (DSP) is selected, rotate the volume knob to select a predened equalizer
sound effect according your liking in the following sequence: CLASSIC → ROCK →POP→FLAT → EQ OFF.
LOUD
When LOUD is selected (OFF is default), rotate the volume knob to select LOUDNESS ON or OFF.
LOC
When LOC is selected, rotate the volume knob to select ON or OFF. ON to select the short distance radio station
mode (LOC) or select OFF for long distance radio stations.
REG
Choose REG on/off. When REG is enabled (on), the receiver accepts regional variants of the tuned station. When
REG is disabled (off), the receiver ignores regional variants.
 


STEREO
Rotate the volume knob to select ALARM ON or OFF.
Select this mode to switch off the automatic retune. The radio will then emit a double beep sound (ALARM).
If a newly tuned station does not broadcast any trafc information for 5 seconds, a beep can be heard.
If the unit can no longer receive the current station during the chosen retune time, a beep sound can also be heard.
If a newly tuned station has no RDS signal, the message “PI SEEK” disappears.

TP: Trafc Program. / PI: Program Identication
MODE SETTING
Press MODE button to select a mode: FM1-> CD-> SD/MMC-> USB ( when iPod device is inserted, the unit displays
iPod)-> BT AUDIO (when BT is connected with the mobile phone)->AUX IN->FM1.
(CD, USB, iPod and SD/MMC modes will only show on the display when a disc, a USB device, a iPod device or a
memory card is inserted into the unit.)
AUX jack
AUX-in jack is intended for a connecting external audio equipment to amplify the sound. If connection is made correct-
ly, the audio signal from the external source will be transmitted through the acoustics of the head unit. This enables
the operator to adjust the volume and quality of the sound. For example, you can connect an MP3-player to listen to
tracks using the car acoustic system.

DIGITAL TUNER OPERATIONS
Note:
RDS (Radio Data System) service availability varies with areas. Please note that RDS service is not available in Aust
& NZ, so the following services are not available.
RDS OVERVIEW
PI: Program Identication Code – for identifying code.
PS: Program Service Name Broadcast – station name data expressed in alphanumerically character.
TP: Trafc Program Identication – for trafc information broadcasting station.
TA: Trafc Announcement Identication – showing trafc information is being transmitted or not.
AF: Alternative frequencies – frequency list of broadcasting station transmitting the same program.
BAND SELECTION
Press MODE button to select TUNER. Press BAND to select: FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, and AM2).
PROGRAMMING PRESET STATIONS
You can store up to a total of 30 radios in the memory (18 FM, 12 AM).
- Select a band (if needed)
- Search a station by automatic tuning
- PRESS MEM button rst on the front panel and rotate VOL know to choose (1-6), and nally press AS/PS button on
the front panel to conm.
AUTO MEMORY STORE
Select a band, press AS/PS button and hold 2 seconds on the front panel to enter auto store mode. The radio will
automatically store 6 stations to the 6 preset memories of the current band. To stop auto store, press this button again.
Note:
During auto station preset, the unit will search and store stations with the strong signal rst and then weaker signal
stations until the memories are full.
TA (travel announcement)/ TP (travel program identication)
1) Enable or disable TA mode by pressing and hold BAND button on the front panel (Default is OFF)
2) When TA function is activated, it will search the station with TA information automatically. If there is no TA informa-
tion, it will search the station with TP information automatically, if there is no TP information either, it will return to the
previous station after searching.
3) When receiving the station with TP information but without TA information, TP icon is on and TA icon keeps blinking;
when receiving the station with TP and TA information, both TP and TA icons are on.
4) When playing in other mode and TA information is received, it will change to the radio mode automatically. After
playing over, it will return to the previous mode. Press TA button once to ignore the received TA information, press TA
button twice to turn off the function.
AF (Alternative Frequencies) FUNCTION
AF is a function which works with the help of the RDS (Radio Data System) and can only be used for FM stations. The
unit searches in the background for the frequency giving the clearest reception for the preset station.
Press the AF button on the front panel to switch AF on and press again to switch AF function off.
-AF is displayed: Function is activated and RDS-Information is received.
-AF ashes: No RDS information is received.
-AF is not displayed: Function is deactivated.
PTY (Program Type)
Press PTY button on the front panel to set PTY function ON or OFF.
Press and hold for 2 seconds PTY button and turn the VOL knob on front panel to select a PTY type. After selecting
the program type you want, press or button on the front panel to search downward or upward. Press them again to
stop the PTY search. If PTY code is different or not available, LCD blinks with “NOT FND”.
 


DISC - USB/iPOD - SD CARD OPERATION
LOADING/EJECTING A DISC
Turn the power on. And insert the disc to disc slot with the printed side facing up. Press EJECT button to eject the
disc.
INSERTING THE SD/MMC CARD/USB DEVICE
Insert the SD/MMC card or USB/iPod device into SD/MMC slot or USB socket. Then the playing mode will be changed
into SD/MMC, iPod or USB mode automatically.
Note:
When SD/MMC card and USB/iPod device are both inserted, the playing mode will be changed into the mode of the
device inserted last
PLAYING/PAUSING
The unit will automatically play from the rst sound track recorded on a disc/SD/MMC /USB/iPod device. To ensure
good system performance, wait until the unit nishes reading the disc /device information before proceeding. Press
MEM button on the front panel to pause playback, press it again to resume playback.
SELECT TRACK
Press the 7 or 8 button to select the previous or next track. The track number and the elapsed playing time are
shown on the display.
FAST FORWARD/REWIND
Keep the 7or 8 button pressed to start fast forward or rewind.
Note:
When fast backward/forward playback reaches the previous or next track, the unit will resume normal playback.
PLAYBACK MODES
Press SEL button and hold on the panel, and then shortly press this button repeatedly to select INT => REP => RDM.
INT: Playing the beginning of every track for 10 seconds in sequence.
REP: Repeating the same track continuously.
RDM: playing all the tracks in random order.
FILE/FOLDEr SEARCH (for MP3 les)
The search modes only work with MP3 discs and USB/SD/MMC/iPod with MP3 les.
• File Number Search
Press AS/PS button once to enter le number search; the 01 or 001 is displayed, the rst number blinks on the display
meaning the unit is ready to accept le number for search. Rotate VOLUME knob to input a digit (from 1 to total le
number in the storage) of le you want to listen to. If you want to change the second or third digital number, please
press SEL button to switch and rotate VOLUME knob to select a track between 10 and 99 or 100 and 999. After com-
pleting input, press and hold SEL button to play.
• File Name Search
Press AS/PS button twice; “A” letter blinks on left side of the display. Rotate VOLUME knob to input the rst alphabet
(from A to Z) or digit (from 0 to 9) of le you want to listen to. Press SEL button to go to next digit. After completing
input, press SEL button to play.
If there is no le found, the unit will return to initial input ready mode automatically.
• Folder Search
Press AS/PS button 3 times, the rst folder name will be displayed. Rotate VOLUME knob to choose between folders
and sub-folders. Press SEL button to select folders or tracks.
ID3 TAGS DISPLAY
Pressing the DISP button on the front panel will show the following current tuning information and time: CT (Clock/
Time) ~ PTY ~ Radio Frequency ~ PS~ ID3 TAGS (only MP3 / WMA le with ID3 TAGS Information is available)

iPOD/iPHONE OPERATION
Original iPod Cable
Use only original Apple USB to Dock Connector cables to connect an iPod or iPhone to the USB socket on the unit.
The unit turns to iPod/iPhone mode automatically when an iPod is connected.
To start iPod/iPhone MODE in other modes, press MODE button repeatedly to switch to iPod/iPhone mode.
Important note:
- When an iPod/iPhone is connected to the unit using the Dock Connector cable, the controls on the iPod are disabled.
- Current settings or play modes such as play lists may inuence the playing order on rst connection to the device.
- Some characters may not be correctly displayed.
Caution:
iPod/iPhone Operation playback is the same as CD/MP3/WMA les. To understand its operation, please see CD/MP3/
WMA operation section.
IPOD-MENU
The unit can use the search function to search for songs from the iPod Menu.
1. Press the AS/PS button to activate the search function.
2. Turn the Volume knob to open a submenu:
Play list - Artists - Albums - Songs - Genres - Composer.
3. Press the SEL button to conrm the selection. Turn the Volume knob to select the required title.
Press to play selection.
ANDROID DEVICE OPERATION
The unit supports operation using the Android APP ”RADIOVIEW”. The RADIOVIEW APP can be downloaded for free
from the Android Market or Google Play Store.
OPERATION OF ANDROID APP VIA BLUETOOTH
Select the Bluetooth menu in your mobile phone and register the AM-3200BTA on your Android mobile phone. To do
so, refer to the user manual of your mobile phone. The device “CAR-BT” will show on your mobile phone.
When prompted, enter the password “0000“ on your mobile phone. When pairing has been completed successfully,
“CONNECT” will appear on the LCD screen.
Touch the RadioView icon on the phone screen to open the App’s main menu.
 


HOW TO CONNECT A DEVICE AGAIN AFTER BEING DISCONNECTED
To re connect to the unit press the menu button on the phone, and from the Paired Devices list select select “CAR-
BT” and press connect. (This operation may vary depending on the phone’s operation. Check your phone manual for
instructions on
reconnecting with paired devices.)
1. RADIO OPERATION
Touch the Radio icon to open the Radio interface. The operating options are the same as the unit’s direct
radio options.
1. Volume adjustment sidebar.
2. Current frequency
3. Source display.
4. Exit source
5. Touch repeatedly to select Bands: FM1=>FM2=>FM3=>AM1=>AM2.
6. Touch repeatedly to change frequency step by step downwards/upwards.
7. Present station buttons; touch to select station (1-6). You can drag the current station to the favorite
present number.

2. SET FEATURE (TUNER)
Press icon to set EQ, PLAY, RDS and tuner. RDS and TUNE are only available in Radio mode.
Note:
RDS (Radio Data System) service availability varies with areas. Please understand if RDS service is not available in
your area, the following service is not available, either.
When RDS is on, you can set the AF, PTY, TRAFFIC, TA VOL, PTY NEWS and EON etc by tapping twice on the touch
screen. When these options were set on, you can operation AF,TA,PTY,EON and REG on the RADIO interface. When
select a PTY type, you can drag PTY icon to button to search. The screen will show “PTY Search”. If PTY code is dif-
ferent or not available, searching will automatically stop.

When TUNER is on, you can set AMS is on to automatically search stations.

3. MEMORY /CD OPERATION
Note:
To enable Memory /CD function, please rst insert USB Memory, SD Card or CD.

Note: Some operations can be performed on the unit. Such as volume adjustment and track selection.
4. SET FEATURE (EQ, PLAY)
Set Bass/Treble up/down, Fader Front/Rear, Balance Left/Right,
Choose a predened equalizer sound effect: Rock, Pop, Jazz, Class and Flat.
Touch RESET button to set the unit to initial state.
Choose repeat playback mode: Repeat one, Repeat folder and then set the mode on or off. Choose shufe playback
mode: Shufe all, Shufe folder and then set the mode on or off.
Choose intro playback mode: Intro all, Intro folder and then set the mode on or off.
Touch RESET button to set the unit to initial state.
 



Touch AUX IN icon to select AUX IN mode.
6. SET FEATURE (CLOCK)
Touch Clock icon to check the current phone clock.
7. SET FEATURE (DISPLAY)
Touch Display icon to save screen, touch phone screen again to open screen.

Note: You can still use the controls on the AM-3200BTA to adjust Volume etc whist connected to the App

APPLE DEVICE OPERATION (IPHONE, IPOD TOUCH, IPAD)
The unit supports operations using the iOS APP “RADIOVIEW1012”. The RADIOVIEW 1012 APP can be downloaded
for free from the iTunes APP Store.
HOW TO INSTALL THE RADIOVIEW1012 APP
• Open your Device’s home screen
• Tap the APP Store icon
• Tap the search icon to search for the App
• Type SCE Multimedia in the text box and tap search
• Tap the “RadioView1012” APP and tap on ‘FREE’ to download
• Once the APP has install tap the icon to open
OPERATING THE RADIO VIEW1012 APP OVER BLUETOOTH
To pair the unit, Tap Settings, General, Bluetooth and slide the Bluetooth toggle to the on position. Once the device
has nished searching for devices, tap the Bluetooth device “CAR-BT” to pair. When prompted enter the password
“0000” to connect.
When pairing has been completed successfully, “CONNECT” will appear on the LCD screen.
Once the device has been paired and connected tap the RADIOVIEW1012 icon on the home screen to open
the App’s main menu.

Tap the Radio icon to open the Radio interface. The operating options are the same as the unit’s direct radio options

5. Touch repeatedly to select Bands: FM1=>FM2=>FM3=>AM1=>AM2.
6. Touch repeatedly to change frequency step by step downwards/upwards.
7. Present station buttons; touch to select station (1-6). You can drag the current station to the favorite
present number.
