1. RELEASE BUTTON
Press the RELbutton to releasethe front controlpanel from theunit chassis, then
pull it upa little toremove from theunit chassis.
When the frontcontrol panel isremoved the LEDindicator flashes.
2. SEL BUTTON (Select) AND VOLCONTROL BUTTON
a) Press theSEL button briefly, it is activated as selecting each mode of E. VOL.
-> VOLUME ->BASS->TREBLE -> BALANCE-> FADER->
When selecting adesired audio mode,rotate the VOL+or VOL- buttonto adjust the
audio effect.
In each mode,the waiting timeis about 5seconds, and afterthis time, itreturns to
the last displaymode .
The control mode of E.VOLis operated withfollowing numeric display.
- VOL: (MIN)00,01,......46, 47(MAX).
- BASS/TRE: -07,-06,...,00,...+06,+07
- BAL: 0LR9,1LR9, ..., 9LR9,...,9LR1, 9LR0
- FAD:0FR9,1FR9, ..., 9FR9,...,9FR1, 9FR0
b) Press SELbutton and holdfor more than2 seconds toturn on TASEEK/TAALARM
mode, then pressSEL button shortly and repeatedly to select PI SOUND/PI MUTE,
RETUNE L/RETUNE S,MASK DPI/MASKALL, BEEP ON/BEEP OFF, USER SET
(FLAT/CLASSIC/ROCK/POP),VOLLAST/VOL DEFA ,STEREO/MONO(in RADIO
mode), LOUD OFF/LOUDON,DX/LOCAL (in RADIO mode), CLK ON/CLK OFF,
CLK 12/24 mode. After selectingthe desired mode,rotate the VOL-or VOL+ button
to select onesetup item ofthe desired mode.

1) TA SEEK/TAALARM:
TASEEK mode: whennewly tuned stationdoes not receiveTP information for 5
seconds, the radioretunes to nextstation which hasa different PI to thelast station,
but has theTP information.
When TP information gets lost at the current station for retune time which is set by
RETUNE SHORT(90 seconds) or RETUNELONG(150 seconds), theradio starts to
retune to nextsame PI station.When same PIstation does notreceive in 1cyclic
search, the radioretunes to nextstation with TP information.
TA ALARM mode:when this modeis selected, anyautomatic retune modeis not
activated. Only doublebeep sound(ALARM) willbe heard.
When newly tunedstation does nothave TP information for 5seconds, beeps are
sounded.
When TP information gets lost at the currentstation for retunetime, the beepsound
will be heard.
When newly tunedstation has noRDS signal, PISEEK is suppressed.
2) PI SOUND/PI MUTE:
PI SOUND mode:if a carcruises between buildingsthat could causereflecting
signals, a phenomenonmay occur,due to different PI codes being received fromthe
same AFsource. when different PI sounds (DIP) are heard occassionally, this will
happen for lessthan 1 second.
PI MUTE mode:under above samesituation, a mutesound will beheard for less
than1second.
3) RETUNE L/ RETUNE S:
The initial time of automaticTAsearch or PISEARCH mode isselected.
When PI informationis not receivedfor retune interval, the radio starts to retune to
next same PIstation.
When same PIstation does notreceive 1 cyclicsearch, the radiogoes to last station
and waits for4-5 minutes untilPI code isreceived.
RETUNE L mode: selected as 150 seconds.
RETUNE S mode:selected as 90seconds.
4) MASK DPI/MASKALL:
MASK DPI mode:masks only theAF whichhas different PI.
MASK ALLmode: masks theAF whichhas different PI and NORDS signal with high
field strength.
5)BEEP ON/BEEP OFF
BEEP ON mode: The beep is generatedwhen any keyis pressed.
BEEP OFF mode: The beep sound isdisabled.
6) VOL LAST/VOL DEFA
VOL LAST: The radio switches onat the actualvolume it hadwhen it waslast
switched off.
VOL DEFA: Afterpressing SEL button, AVOL will be displayed. Then you can
pre-select a constantswitch-on volume byusing the VOLknob.
7)CLK ON/OFF
CLK ON: Clockwill always showon the displaywhen power off.
CLK OFF: Clockwill disappear onthe display whenpower off.
3. POWER BUTTON
When the unitis power off, it will switch on by pressing any buttonexcept the
EJECT and the RELEASE button.
When the unitis power on,press and holdthe power buttonfor more than0.5
seconds, the unitgoes into poweroff mode.

4.MUTE BUTTON
When the unitis powered on,press this buttonto switch theMUTE on/off.
5. LCD Display
6&7. TUNE, SEEK, TRACK, SKIP UP / DOWN BUTTONS
a) In RADIOmode:
Press the >>|or |<< buttonbriefly to manuallytune up/down foryour desired
radio station stepby step.
Press and holdthe >>| or|<< button formore than 0.5seconds to automatically
tune up/down foran available radiostation of strongsignal.
b) In SD/MMC & USB mode:
Press the >>|button briefly toplay next track.Press the |<<button briefly toplay
from the beginningof the currentor previous track.
Press and holdthe >>| or|<< button toskip forward orbackward, release to
resume normal playback.
8. BAND &PTY (PROGRAM TYPE) BUTTON
During radio mode,press the BNDbutton briefly toselect the radiobroadcasting
band you wouldlike to hear. The AM/FM band is toggled cyclically through the
tuning bands: ->FM1-> FM 2-> FM 3-> MW 1->MW2 ->.
Press and holdthe button toselect one ofthe following mode:
POP M- - NEWS
While selecting PTYTYPE, its selection is implemented by preset buttons as
described in presetkey. (press one ofthe 6 presetbuttons shortly andrepeatedly
to select thePTY TYPE in the preset button) When POPM or NEWSis on, the
previous PTY program and PTYicon is displayed on LCD. If there are no keys
entered for 2seconds, previously selectedPTY is searched. During 1loop, if
desired PTY is not found,NO PTY is flashed, thenreturns to previousnormal radio
and PTY icon disappear.
9. MODE BUTTON
Press it toselect RADIO, CARD(afterinserting an SD/MMCcard), USB(after inserting
USB stick) andAUX mode.
10. CLOCK BUTTON
Press the CLKbutton briefly todisplay time for5 seconds onthe display, and then
returns to itsprevious display unlessthe button ispressed again.
Then press the CLK buttonand hold formore than 1second until thereal time
flashes on thedisplay. Then you can adjust HOURor MINUTE byrotating the VOL-
or VOL+ button.
11. TA[TRAFFIC ANNOUNCEMENT]BUTTON
When pressing thebutton, TA mode is switched on or off.
When TA modeis on(TA isdisplayed on LCD), it will begin to seek TAstation and TA
SEEK will bedisplayed on LCD for a while.
When traffic announcement is transmitted:
1). If theunit is inSD/MMC, USB mode,it will switchto radio modetemporarily.
2). If volumelevel is below20, volume levelis raised to20, and returnsto its previous
mode and volumelevel when the traffic announcement is over.
If volume isadjusted during traffic announcement, onlythe traffic announcement
volume is valid.

* TA interruptionfunction:
The current traffic announcement is cancelled bypressing this key. But theTAmode
will not beoff.
* When TAis on, SEEK, (SCAN), AUTO MEMORYfunction can bereceived or saved
only when traffic program identification code has been received.
When TA isON, traffic program identification codeis not received during specified time.
12.AF [ALTERNATIVE FREQUENCIES] BUTTON
When pressed briefly, AFswitching mode isselected and thestate ofAF switching
mode is displayedby AFsegment in display.
Segment off: AF switchingmode off.
Segment on:AF switching modeon, and hasRDS information.
Segment flashing:AF switching modeon, but RDSinformation is notreceived yet.
When AFswitching mode isselected, the radiochecks the signalstrength ofAF all
the time. The interval ofchecking time ofeach AFsdepends on thesignal strength
of current station,from a fewminutes for astrong station toa few secondsfor weak
station. Every timethat newAF is strongerthan current station,it switches overto
that frequency forvery short time,and NEW FREQUENCYis displayed for 1-2
seconds.
Because the mutetime ofAF switching orchecking time isvery short, itis almost
inaudible in caseof normal program.
During FM mode,when AFis on, SEEK,(SCAN), AUTO-MEMORY function can only
receive and saveRDS program.
During FM mode,when AFis on, SEEK,(SCAN), AUTO-MEMORY function can
only receive andsave RDS program.
When pressed long,AF modeis converted toREGION ON/OFF mode.
REG ON:
AF switchingor PI SEEKis implemented tothe station whichhave all PIcodes
are same ascurrent station.(PI CODEis checked whenAF CHECKin progress)
REG OFF:
The regional code in theformat of PIcode is ignoredwhen AFswitching or PI
SEEK is implemented.(PICODE and COVERAGEAREAis not checkedwhen
AF CHECKin progress)
13. AS/PSBUTTON (Auto-storage /Preset scan)
During radio mode:
1) When pressingand holding formore than 1second, the radiosearches from the
current frequency andchecks the signalstrength level until6 stations are found.
And thenthe 6 stationsfrequency are presetto the correspondingpreset memory
numbered bank. The auto-storage operationis implemented ineach selected band.
When the auto-storageoperation is finished,the radio executethe Preset scan.
2) When pressedbriefly, the radio searchesfor each presetstation in thecurrent
band and holdsat that presetnumber for 5seconds whlie releasingmute, and then
searches again.
During SD/MMC orUSB mode:
Press AS/PSbutton, it willactivate TRACK SEARCH mode .The LCD will display
TRK 0/00/000(dependent on the totalnumber of tracksin the SDcard or USBstick)
and flash the0 on thebiggest digit position.Then press the VOL+ orVOL- button
to select anumber on theflashing digit positionfrom 0 ~9. Then press AS/PS
button to confirmthe number andflash the 0on next smallerdigit position. With
the same means,select the numberon the flashingdigit position withVOL+/-
buttons. Afterfinishing selecting thenumbers on alldigits position, press SEL
button to playthe track ofthe selected serialnumber.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Before using the check list please make all the connections first.
If you still have questions after going through the checklist, please consult
your local customer service representative.
Common Symptoms
There is no power.
Cause
The fuse has blown.
The volume control is set too low.
There is no sound.
The operation keys
do not work
The antenna cable is not connected.
Insert the antenna cable firmly into the
antenna socket of the device.
No radio reception.
The built-in microcomputer is not
operating properly due to noise
Switch the device off and on again. Or press
the RESET button to resume the program.
The device has not been correctly
connected.
Turn up the volume properly.
Check the power and earth connection
according to the wiring diagram.
Replace another fuse according to the wiring
diagram.
The car ignition is switched off. If the power supply is properly connected to
the car accessory, switch the ignition key to
ON or " ACC" " " .
Solution
In automatic search
mode the radio does
not stop at a trans-
mitting station.
Tune in to a radio station manually.The transmission signals are too
weak.

14-19. PRESET STATION MEMORY AND TOP/>||, INT, RPT, RDM BUTTONS
a) During radiomode:
When pressed briefly, these buttonsselect a presetstation directly. If thesix buttons
are pressed formore than 2seconds, the stationcurrently being listenedto is
memorized into theselected preset button.
b) During SDor USB mode:
Press the TOP/>|| button briefly to interruptthe playback ofthe SD cardor
USB stick.
Press again toresume normal playback.
Press the INTbutton to play the first 10 seconds part ofeach track, andthe LCD will
display INT ON.
Press again tostop scan, whilethe currently selectedtrack will beplayed, and the
LCD will displayINT OFF.
Press the RPTbutton to play the current track repeatedly, and the LCDwill display
RPT ONE.
Press again tocancel this function,and the LCDwill display RPTOFF.
Press the RPTbutton twice continuously to play the tracks in thecurrent folder
repeatedly and theLCD display willshow RPT ABM.
Press the RDMbutton to playall tracks inrandom order,and the LCDwill display
RDM ON.
Press again tocancel this function,and the LCDwill display RDMOFF.
Press the radiopreset button 6and 5 buttonto move upand down10 tracksat a time.
When the remainingtotal tracks areless than 10,then both buttonsare inactive.
20. AUXINPUT JACK
Press the modebutton to selectauxiliary input playingmode. You can connectany
matched external audiodevice to theauxiliary input jack.Use the volumecontrol to
adjust volume.
21. USB SOCKET
When needing toplay the filein the USBstick, insert theUSB stick intothe USB
socket. The system will changeinto the USBmode automatically, and then play the
first file inthe USB.
22. SD /MMCCARD SLOT
When you needto play thefiles in anSD/MMC card, insertthe SD/MMC cardinto
the SD/MMC cardslot. The system will changeinto SD/MMC modeautomatically,
and then playthe first filefrom the SD/MMCcard.
Note:
When SD/MMC cardand USB stickare both insertedinto their slotor socket, the
system will changeinto the playbackmode of thelatter one.
23. FLASHING LED
When the frontcontrol panel isremoved this indicatorflashes.
24. RESET BUTTON
Before operating theunit for thefirst time, orafter replacing thecar battery or
changing the connections.Youmust reset theunit.
Press this buttonwith a cuspidalobject. This operation will erasethe clock setting
and some storedcontents.
INSTALLATION METHOD
Before mounting andoperating
the player, remove the metal
mounting sleeve illustratedby
the arrows.
NOTE
To attach the removable faceplate, insert the left
side of the faceplate into the left of the chassis first.
Then push the right side of the faceplate into the
chassis until you hear it “click”.
RESET BUTTON
This is an anti-theft installation method.
The main unit has a METAL MOUNTING SLEEVE.
Please connect the wiring, eg, the Power Supply, the Speakers and the Antenna
according to the requirements of this Instruction Manual, then install the metal
mounting sleeve into the car as per the diagram illustrated below.

bolted firmly to the car chassis.
Bend the tabs on the metal mounting

Push this RESETbutton with a sharp-pointed
object to restore anydistortion in sound or
operation problems.
To remove the unit out of the metal mounting sleeve,
insert the two supplied KEYS into the left and right side
slots of the chassis at the same time. Then pull the chassis
out of the metal mounting sleeve as shown in the right
illustration.
To removethe front panel fromthe unit
chassis, press this key to release the
front panel from theunit chassis, then
pull it up alittle to take outfrom the
unit chassis.

During radio mode,press the BNDbutton briefly toselect the radiobroadcasting
band you wouldlike to hear. The AM/FM band is toggled cyclically through the
tuning bands: ->FM1-> FM 2-> FM 3-> MW 1->MW2 ->.
Press and holdthe button toselect one ofthe following mode:
POP M- - NEWS
While selecting PTYTYPE, its selection is implemented by preset buttons as
described in presetkey. (press one ofthe 6 presetbuttons shortly andrepeatedly
to select thePTY TYPE in the preset button) When POPM or NEWSis on, the
previous PTY program and PTYicon is displayed on LCD. If there are no keys
entered for 2seconds, previously selectedPTY is searched. During 1loop, if
desired PTY is not found,NO PTY is flashed, thenreturns to previousnormal radio
and PTY icon disappear.
9. MODE BUTTON
Press it toselect RADIO, CARD(afterinserting an SD/MMCcard), USB(after inserting
USB stick) andAUX mode.
10. CLOCK BUTTON
Press the CLKbutton briefly todisplay time for5 seconds onthe display, and then
returns to itsprevious display unlessthe button ispressed again.
Then press the CLK buttonand hold formore than 1second until thereal time
flashes on thedisplay. Then you can adjust HOURor MINUTE byrotating the VOL-
or VOL+ button.
11. TA[TRAFFIC ANNOUNCEMENT]BUTTON
When pressing thebutton, TA mode is switched on or off.
When TA modeis on(TA isdisplayed on LCD), it will begin to seek TAstation and TA
SEEK will bedisplayed on LCD for a while.
When traffic announcement is transmitted:
1). If theunit is inSD/MMC, USB mode,it will switchto radio modetemporarily.
2). If volumelevel is below20, volume levelis raised to20, and returnsto its previous
mode and volumelevel when the traffic announcement is over.
If volume isadjusted during traffic announcement, onlythe traffic announcement
volume is valid.

1) TA SEEK/TAALARM:
TASEEK mode: whennewly tuned stationdoes not receiveTP information for 5
seconds, the radioretunes to nextstation which hasa different PI to thelast station,
but has theTP information.
When TP information gets lost at the current station for retune time which is set by
RETUNE SHORT(90 seconds) or RETUNELONG(150 seconds), theradio starts to
retune to nextsame PI station.When same PIstation does notreceive in 1cyclic
search, the radioretunes to nextstation with TP information.
TA ALARM mode:when this modeis selected, anyautomatic retune modeis not
activated. Only doublebeep sound(ALARM) willbe heard.
When newly tunedstation does nothave TP information for 5seconds, beeps are
sounded.
When TP information gets lost at the currentstation for retunetime, the beepsound
will be heard.
When newly tunedstation has noRDS signal, PISEEK is suppressed.
2) PI SOUND/PI MUTE:
PI SOUND mode:if a carcruises between buildingsthat could causereflecting
signals, a phenomenonmay occur,due to different PI codes being received fromthe
same AFsource. when different PI sounds (DIP) are heard occassionally, this will
happen for lessthan 1 second.
PI MUTE mode:under above samesituation, a mutesound will beheard for less
than1second.
3) RETUNE L/ RETUNE S:
The initial time of automaticTAsearch or PISEARCH mode isselected.
When PI informationis not receivedfor retune interval, the radio starts to retune to
next same PIstation.
When same PIstation does notreceive 1 cyclicsearch, the radiogoes to last station
and waits for4-5 minutes untilPI code isreceived.
RETUNE L mode: selected as 150 seconds.
RETUNE S mode:selected as 90seconds.
4) MASK DPI/MASKALL:
MASK DPI mode:masks only theAF whichhas different PI.
MASK ALLmode: masks theAF whichhas different PI and NORDS signal with high
field strength.
5)BEEP ON/BEEP OFF
BEEP ON mode: The beep is generatedwhen any keyis pressed.
BEEP OFF mode: The beep sound isdisabled.
6) VOL LAST/VOL DEFA
VOL LAST: The radio switches onat the actualvolume it hadwhen it waslast
switched off.
VOL DEFA: Afterpressing SEL button, AVOL will be displayed. Then you can
pre-select a constantswitch-on volume byusing the VOLknob.
7)CLK ON/OFF
CLK ON: Clockwill always showon the displaywhen power off.
CLK OFF: Clockwill disappear onthe display whenpower off.
3. POWER BUTTON
When the unitis power off, it will switch on by pressing any buttonexcept the
EJECT and the RELEASE button.
When the unitis power on,press and holdthe power buttonfor more than0.5
