Safety

When using electrical appliances, in order to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/

or injury to persons, basic safety precautions should always be followed.

Read all instructions carefully, even if you are quite familiar with the appliance.

•Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or

modify this appliance. The warranty will be

void if not serviced or repaired by a

authorised person.

•Do not excessively bend, stretch, twist or

bind the electrical cord or place heavy

objects on it.

•This appliance is to be serviced by a

qualified persons only. There are no user-

serviceable parts inside.

•Do not use an extension cord with this

appliance.

•Do not install the appliance in a close fitting

cabinet.

Do not overload the appliance.

•The door window may be hot after a drying

cycle. Ensure children are kept away from

the appliance.

•If the appliance is not wall mounted, place it

on a flat, firm and level surface. If

required, use the adjustable front feet to

assist in leveling the appliance. Do not

place the appliance on any soft material

such as foam or plastic.

•Do not use flammable or combustible

materials such as gas, petrol, alcohol or

lacquer in the appliance.

•After switching the appliance OFF, wait at

least 2 minutes before switching ON again.

•Remove all transport packaging prior to

using the appliance.

•If the electrical cord is damaged, it must be

replaced by the manufacturer, its service

agent or similarly qualified persons in order

to avoid a hazard.

•This appliance is not intended for use by

persons (including children) with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or

lack of experience and knowledge, unless

they have been given supervision or

instruction concerning use of the appliance

by a person responsible for their safety.

•Young children should be supervised to

ensure that they do not play with the

appliance.

•INDOOR USE ONLY - this appliance is not

intended for outdoor use.

•Do not place naked flame sources, such as

candles, on the appliance.

•Do not locate the appliance or electrical cord

near heat sources such as radiators,

heaters, air ducts or direct sunlight.

•Do not block any of the ventilation openings.

Ensure that vents are not covered or

obstructed in any way, etc.

•Do not run the electrical cord under floor

coverings. Ensure that it is not a trip hazard.

•To disconnect the appliance, switch the

appliance OFF, switch OFF power at the

electrical outlet, then remove the plug from

the power outlet.

•Do not misuse the electrical cord. Never

carry or move the appliance by the cord, or

pull the cord to disconnect it from the

electrical outlet. Always use the plug to

disconnect.

•Do not operate the appliance if it has a

damaged cord or plug; if the appliance

malfunctions; or has bean dropped or

damaged in any way.

WARNING: Risk of fire/

flammable materials

Oil-affected items can ignite spontaneously, especially when

exposed to heat sources such as in a clothes dryer. The items

become warm, causing an oxidation reaction in the oil.

Oxidation creates heat. If the heat cannot escape, the items

can become hot enough to catch fire.

•If it is unavoidable that fabrics that are contaminated with flammable substances (for

example, oils, solvents, petrol etc) be placed in the appliance, they should first be

washed in hot water with extra detergent - this will reduce, but not eliminate, the hazard.

•Do not dry unwashed items.

•Fabric softeners, or similar products, should be used in accordance with the

manufacturer's instructions.

•Items such as foam rubber (latex), plastic, rubber backed articles, and clothes or pillows

containing foam rubber should not be dried in a clothes dryer.

•The final part of the drying cycle does not use heat (cool down cycle) to ensure that

the items are at a comfortable handling temperature when removed.

•WARNING: Never stop the appliance before the end of the drying cycle. If it is

necessary to do so, remove all items quickly and spread them out so that the heat

dissipates.

•Remove all objects from pockets such as paper, coins etc.

•The appliance should not be used if industrial chemicals have been used for cleaning the

clothes.

•The lint filters must be cleaned after every use.

•Do not allow lint to accumulate around the appliance.

•Adequate ventilation must be provided when the appliance is in use.

•Ensure that carpet or other soft floor coverings does not obstruct any ventilation

openings in the base of the appliance.

•Exhausted air from the appliance must not be discharged into a flue that is used for

exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels.

Correct disposal of this product:

This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with household

waste. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from

uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable

reuse of material resources.

Operation

Electrical Requirements

The unit is required to be plugged into a

three pin 240VAC mains electrical socket that

is reliably grounded. Plug the electrical cord

into the socket.



Loading the Dryer

It is recommended that items are placed into

the dryer one at a time. This ensures they are

not tangled, which results in uneven drying.

Ensure that all items are fully inside the drum.

Unsuitable Fabrics

Prior to loading the dryer, check that items do

not have the following symbols anywhere on

them. If they do, do not tumble dry these items.

•Check the items to be dried do not have

combustible materials or foreign objects

within them; for example, paper and

coins etc.

Drying times can be affected by many

factors, such as material, bulkiness, how full

the dryer is etc. The reference is a guide only.

•Dryer heat may permanently set stains.

Ensure you check prior to drying that

stains are removed.

•Separate dark and light colored items as

you would do when washing.

•For best results, load the dryer with

similar fabrics. Place small delicate items

in a mesh bag. Do not overload the dryer.

•The maximum drum capacity is 4.0kg of

dry clothing. Do not overload. The

appliance is intended only for drying

textile material washed in water.

•Push the Start button on the door to

activate the dryer.

Heat Selector button

Select Full heat for items that are particularly bulky or large

quantities.

Select

Half heat for delicate items as silk, nylon, linen etc.

Drying Program Selector

There are five drying functions: Cool, Anti-Wrinkle / Warm, Hot and Air Dry.

Air Dry: This

function uses cool

air, primarily to air

items that require

freshening.

That is, clothes

that have been

stored for long

periods.

OFF: When the

DryingTimer is in the

OFF position, no power

is supplied to the unit.

As soon as the dial is

turned clockwise to the

desired program, the

dryer will start.

  

Cool: This function is the final part of

the drying cycle and uses cool air.

This helps to prevent creasing and

keeps items at a comfortable

handling temperature for removal.



Hot: This function is for large

loads or bulky items (drum is more

than 1/2 full). Use the Full heat

setting and set the drying timer to

150 minutes or more.

Warm / Anti-Wrinkle: This

function is for items that are

difficult to iron; for example,

cotton and linen. Use the

Half heat setting. Set the

drying timer to between

30 and 60 minutes

depending on load. Once the

timer stops (including the

Cool program) the items will

still contain moisture, making

the ironing process easier.

Warm: This function will dry

and cool items and in most

cases leave items wrinkle

free (depending on material).

Use the Full heat setting and

set the drying timer to

between 60 and150 minutes.

NOTE: The setting used for the Australian energy testing data is 160 minutes at Full heat,

according to AS/NZS 2442. This is recommended for a normal load at rated capacity.

Drying Tips

Delicate items should be placed into a nylon

net bag prior to drying. Drying under-wire

bras is not recommended.

Ensure that foreign objects do not find their

way into the appliance. All pockets should be

emptied, and buttons, buckles and zips

fastened. This will helps reduce impact noise

when the drum is rotating.

Do not add items into the dryer whilst it

is in operation.

If drying large items, such as blankets, it is

recommended that from time to time you open

the dryer, remove and shake out the item,

then place it back in the dryer and close the

door. This will ensure even drying.

To ensure you get the most out of the Anti-

wrinkle function, do not overload the dryer and

remove the dried items from the dryer

immediately and hang on coat hangers. Iron

the items if desired.

Reduced load

OFF: When the

DryingTimer is in the

OFF position, no

power is supplied to

the unit. As soon as

the dial is turned

clockwise to the

desired program, the

dryer will start.

such as in a tumble dryer. The items become

warm, causing an oxidation reaction in the

oil. Oxidation creates heat. If the heat cannot

escape, the items can become hot enough

to catch fire.

Items that have been contaminated with

flammable substances (for example, oil)

constitute a fire hazard and should not be

placed in a tumble dryer.

To minimize the risk of fire in a tumble dryer,

the following should be observed:

Installation Wall Mounting 3. Install the exhaust flue to the exhaust vent on the rear panel and

adjust the direction of the flue as required.

4. Carefully raise the dryer and position it so the bracket hooks enter

the slots in the rear of the dryer. Gently lower the dryer so it is

supported by the brackets and the plastic supports are resting

against the wall.

Fix the 2 mounting brackets to the wall using suitable

fasteners (not supplied). The brackets must be

mounted at the same height (that is, they must be

level), and the distance between the brackets holes

must be 554mm.

CAUTION: The wall must be of sufficient strength to

support the dryer weight. The dryer weighs in excess

of 20kg - 2 or more persons are required to wall

mount it.

2. Insert the plastic supports into the holes in the rear

panel, and rotate them 90° to lock them in position.

Cleaning the Air Intake Filter

The filter should be cleaned once a month.

1. Removing the filters

Grasp the exhaust vent shroud firmly then pull

to remove it. The filter has 3 parts: exhaust

vent shroud, lint filter and exhaust filter

(Figure1).

2. Cleaning the filter

Separate exhaust vent shroud, lint filter and

exhaust filter. Gently clean the lint filter and

exhaust filter with a soft brush or vacuum

cleaner. Do not damage the filters (Figure 2)



3. Re-installing the filter

After cleaning, assemble in the sequence

of exhaust filter - lint filter- exhaust vent

shroud. Align the recesses in the center of

the shroud with the mounting in the drum

and press it on firmly - it should "click" into

place (Figure 3).

Note: The filter fixed in the bottom of the

drum should also be cleaned with a soft

brush.

Remove the filter inside the shroud and clean

it with a soft brush. Reassemble and install

as before.



Slightly push upwards with your thumb until

the latch hook disconnects, then remove.

Cleaning the Dryer

Do not wash directly with water. Do not use

flammable substances (solvents, petrol etc).

Do not use any type of spray cleaner when

cleaning the interior. If the drum becomes

stained, clean it with a damp cloth. Remove

any residue before drying the next load. Clean

the cabinet with mild soap and water. Do not

use harsh or abrasive cleaners, this could

damage the dryer.



after EVERY use.
