Operating Instruction Manual -
Factory Mutual Approved
Solvent Dispensing Hand Pump.
Please read instructions completely
before using pump.
If any solvent leakage occurs at the handle
stem when pumping, lightly tighten the packing
nut until leakage stops.
Do not over tighten set screws as this will
damage the pump body and may cause the
pump to fail!
Failure to follow these instructions may cause
the pump to fail and will void the warranty!
Assembly Procedure:
1. Thread SET SCREW into BUNG ADAPTER.
2. hand thread the PICK-UP TUBE the PUMP NIPPLE.
Installation Procedure:
1. Hand thread the BUNG ADAPTER into the drum bung hole.
2. Verify the PICK-UP TUBE is tightly threaded to the PUMP NIPPLE.
3. Insert PUMP into drum through BUNG ADAPTER until the PICK-UP TUBE rests on the bottom of
the drum.
4. Tighten SET SCREW with small screw driver until secure.
5. Attach BONDING and GROUND CLIPS properly to prevent static sparks.
A. Attach short wire BONDING CLIP to bare metal on the receiving container.
B. Attach longer wired GROUNDING CLIP to metal COLD WATER pipe or other suitable ground.
Removal & DRAINING PROCEDURES:
1. PUMP must be completely drained of residual solvent before removing.
2. With handle fully extended, lift the entire PUMP ASSEMBLY until the bottom of the PICK-UP TUBE
3. Tilt the PUMP to a near horizontal position with spout pointing up.
4. Shake the PUMP until the CHECK VALVE rattles lose and the solvent drains back into the drum.
SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. If any solvent leakage occurs at the handle stem when pumping, LIGHTLY TIGHTEN the
PACKING NUT until leakage stops. Begin pumping and observe if leakage has stopped.
REPEAT IF NECESSARY. 1
