SPOTTING SCOPE
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
1. Attach the tripod adapter to your tripod head or mounting plate.
2. Remove the eyepiece from the container by turning the cap
counterclockwise.
3. Remove the cap from the eyepiece by turning the cap
counterclockwise while holding onto the locking ring.
4. Remove the cover from the eyepiece adapter. Insert the Zoom
eyepiece with the power indicator facing up. Secure the
eyepiece by turning the locking ring clockwise.

Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or with your spotting scope. Permanent eye damage may result.

FOCUSING
CHANGING THE MAGNIFICATION (POWER)
Attach your spotting scope to a photo/video tripod before trying to observe as the size and power of the spotting scope requires a
solid tripod to be able to see sharp and steady views. For the Ultima 100 models, a Tripod Balancing Platform should be installed
for optimum balancing on a tripod (see information below). Make sure to remove the lens cap prior to observing. You can use the
sight tube to locate the object you want to look at and then look through the eyepiece.
The zoom eyepiece includes a soft rubber eyecup. Fold down the rubber
eyecups to observe the full field of view when wearing eyeglasses. If you
do not use eyeglasses, leave the rubber eyecup in the up position.
To focus, slowly rotate the focus knob until the image in the eyepiece is
clear and sharp. Refocusing is usually required if the power is changed.
If you feel the focus knob no longer moves any further (in either direction),
then you have reached the end of the travel range—don’t try to force it to
go further. Instead, refocus by turning in the opposite direction. Once an
image is in focus, turn the knob clockwise to focus on a closer object and
counterclockwise for a more distant object.
Rotate the magnification ring around the zoom eyepiece to change the
power level of the spotting scope. Refocus as needed. The brightest and
widest field of view will always be at the lowest power.

PHOTOGRAPHY
35MM SLR AND DSLR CAMERAS
To use your spotting scope as a telephoto lens, remove the rubber eyecup from the top of the eyepiece. You will shoot through
the spotting scope with the eyepiece attached. Thread an optional T-Ring for your make and model of 35mm or DSLR camera
onto the T-threads located at the top of the eyepiece. For Ultima 65 models, thread the T-ring adapter (included with your model)
onto the eyepiece threads, then thread a T-Ring onto the eyepiece. Attach your 35mm camera body to the T-Ring. Ultima spotting
scopes have fixed apertures and, as a result, fixed f/ratios. To properly expose your subjects photographically, you need to set
your shutter speed accordingly. Most SLR cameras offer through-the-lens metering which lets you know if your picture is under
or overexposed. Adjustments for proper exposures are made by changing the shutter speed. Consult your camera manual for
specific information on metering and changing shutter speeds.
HINT: Most photos will be the sharpest and brightest when using the lowest power on the zoom eyepiece.

DIGITAL CAMERAS
Since digital cameras (not digital SLR cameras) do not use the T-system to mount cameras to lenses, spotting scopes, telescopes,
etc. you need a different way to be able to use them to take photos. Celestron offers a Universal Digital Camera Adapter (Model
# 93626), which makes it easy to attach a digital camera to your Ultima spotting scope.
This is used with Ultima 100 models to properly balance your spotting scope on top of a photo/video tripod.
To use the tripod balancing platform:
Mount the platform to the top of your photo tripod using the ¼”-20 threaded hole on the bottom side of the platform. Attach your
spotting scope to the platform using the ¼”-20 mounting screw located on the top side of the platform. Thread the mounting
screw in as far as it will go. Slide the attached spotting scope along the slotted cutout until your spotting scope is balanced on
the tripod. Tighten the locking ring to hold the spotting scope in place.

To protect your spotting scope when not in use, put on all lens covers and the lens cap to keep the optics clean. Put the scope
in the soft carrying case. If your optics could use cleaning, use an optics cleaning kit and follow the instructions.

1. Before attaching the adapter, look through your optic (telescope,
spotting scope, binocular, etc.) and make sure that the view is in
sharp focus.
2. Open the eyepiece clamp (B) by loosening the eyepiece clamp
knob (A) at the top of the eyepiece clamp.
3. Place the eyepiece clamp over the eyepiece of your optic. Tighten
the eyepiece clamp knob to secure the eyepiece clamp tightly
against the eyepiece.
NOTE: Make sure to mount the clamp on a section of the eyepiece
barrel that does not rotate freely, such as an eye relief adjuster.
4. Loosen the holder clamp knob (D) until the holder clamp (C) is
open wide enough to accommodate the width of your phone. Once
the phone is in place, tighten the holder clamp knob until the
phone is secured.
NOTE: This adapter can be used with most phone cases, but the
case surface MUST be flat so it will fit in the holder
correctly. Any grips, stands, rings, or raised surfaces
on the case will impede the placement of the phone. All
folio-style phone cases must be removed.
5. Launch the camera app on your phone. Loosen the holder alignment
knob (E) and adjust the positioning of your phone camera so that it
lines up with the eyepiece of your optic.
6. Once the camera is over the eyepiece and your camera is capturing
the view through the eyepiece, carefully tighten the holder alignment
knob to secure your phone in position.
7. If needed, adjust the focus on your optic again for the sharpest
possible view.
8. You are now ready to take images and videos using your
smartphone camera!

MODIFIER LE GROSSISSEMENT (LA PUISSANCE)
Attachez votre longue vue à un trépied photo/vidéo avant d’essayer d’observer, car la taille et la puissance de la longue vue
requièrent un trépied stable pour obtenir des vues nettes et stables. Pour les modèle Ultima 100, nous recommandons l’utilisation
d'une plateforme d’équilibrage sur trépied pour assurer l’équilibrage optimal sur un trépied (voir ci-dessous pour obtenir plus
d'informations). Assurez-vous de retirer le cache de lentille avant de commencer l’observation. Vous pouvez utiliser le tube de
recherche pour localiser l'objet désiré, et ensuite regarder dans l’oculaire.
L’oculaire de zoom comporte un œilleton de caoutchouc souple. Repliez
les œilletons de caoutchouc vers le bas pour observer le champ de
vision dans son entier si vous portez des lunettes. Si vous ne portez pas
de lunettes, laissez l’œilleton de caoutchouc en position relevée.
Pour faire la mise au point, faites tourner la molette de mise au point
jusqu’à ce que l’image de l’oculaire soit claire et nette. La remise au point
est généralement nécessaire si la puissance est changée. Si vous sentez
que la molette de mise au point ne peut plus tourner (dans n’importe
quelle direction), alors vous avez atteint la fin de sa course - n’essayez pas
de forcer. Au lieu de cela, effectuez la mise au point en la faisant tourner
dans la direction opposée. Une fois qu’une image est mise au point, faites
tourner la molette dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre pour observer
un objet plus proche, et dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre
pour un objet situé à une plus longue distance.
Faites tourner la molette de grossissement autour de l’oculaire de zoom
pour changer le niveau de puissance de la longue vue. Refaites la mise au
point comme nécessaire. Le champ de vision le plus clair et le plus large
est toujours obtenu avec la plus faible puissance.

PHOTOGRAPHIE
APPAREILS PHOTO SLR ET DSLR DE 35 MM
Pour utiliser votre longue vue comme lentille téléphoto, retirez l’œilleton de caoutchouc du dessus de l’oculaire. Vous prendrez
vos photos dans la longue vue avec l’oculaire installé. Vissez l’anneau-T facultatif adapté pour votre marque et modèle de caméra
SLR et DSLR de 35 mm sur les pas de vis en T sur le dessus de l’oculaire. Pour les modèles Ultima 65, vissez l’adaptateur
d’anneau-T (inclus avec votre modèle) dans l’oculaire, puis vissez l’anneau-T dans l’oculaire. Fixez le corps de votre appareil photo
de 35 mm sur l’anneau-T. Les longues vues Ultima ont une ouverture fixe, et donc des ratios/f fixes. Pour exposer correctement
vos sujets pour la photographie, vous devez régler la vitesse du déclencheur correctement. La majorité des appareils photo SLR
sont pourvus d'une fonction de métrage dans la lentille qui vous permet de savoir si votre image est sous ou surexposée. Les
réglages pour les expositions correctes sont effectués en modifiant la vitesse du déclencheur. Consultez le mode d’emploi de
votre caméra pour connaître les informations spécifiques sur le métrage, et savoir comment changer les vitesses du déclencheur.
CONSEIL : La majorité des photos sera plus nette et plus claire lorsque vous utilisez la plus basse puissance sur l’oculaire

APPAREILS PHOTO NUMÉRIQUES
Les appareils photo numériques (pas les appareils photo numériques SLR) n’utilisent pas de système-T pour leur montage sur
les lentilles, les longues vues, les télescopes, etc. Vous devez donc utiliser une autre méthode pour les utiliser de façon à pouvoir
prendre des photos. Celestron met à votre disposition des Adaptateurs universels pour appareils photo numériques (modèle #
93626), qui simplifient la fixation des appareils photo numériques sur votre longue vue Ultima.
Cet accessoire est utilisé sur les modèles Ultima 100 pour équilibrer correctement votre longue vue sur un trépied vidéo/photo.
Pour utiliser la plateforme d’équilibrage de trépied :
Montez la plateforme sur le dessus de votre trépied photo en utilisant le trou fileté de ¼”-20 situé sur le dessous de la plateforme.

1. Avant de monter l’adaptateur, regardez dans votre système optique
(télescope, longue vue, jumelles, etc.) et assurez-vous que l’image
est correctement mise au point.
2. Ouvrez la pince de l’oculaire (B) en desserrant la molette de la
pince de l’oculaire (A) située sur le dessus de cette dernière.
3. Placez la pince sur l’oculaire de votre système optique. Serrez la molette
de la pince de l’oculaire pour serrer la pince fermement sur l’oculaire.
NOTE : Assurez-vous de monter la pince sur la section du barillet de
l’oculaire qui ne pivote pas librement, comme par exemple
sur le réglage de retrait oculaire.
4. Desserrez la molette de la pince de l’adaptateur (D) jusqu’à ce
que la pince de l’adaptateur (C) soit assez ouverte pour qu’elle
puisse recevoir la largeur de votre téléphone. Lorsque le téléphone
est installé, serrez la molette de la pince de l’adaptateur pour qu’elle
maintienne fermement le téléphone.
NOTE : Cet adaptateur est compatible avec la majorité des étuis
de téléphone, mais la surface de l’étui DOIT be flat so it
will fit in the holder correctly. Any grips, stands, rings, or
raised surfaces on the case will impede the placement of
the phone. All folio-style phone cases must be removed.
5. Lancez l’application de caméra de votre téléphone. Desserrez la
molette d’alignement de l’adaptateur (E) et ajustez l’alignement
de l’objectif de votre téléphone afin qu’il soit positionné sur l’oculaire
de votre système optique.
6. Lorsque la caméra est alignée sur l’oculaire et que votre caméra
capture la vue de votre oculaire, serrez avec précaution la molette
d’alignement de l’adaptateur pour fixer votre téléphone sur cette
position.
7. Si nécessaire, réglez la mise au point de votre système optique une
nouvelle fois pour obtenir la meilleure netteté possible.
8. Vous êtes maintenant prêt à capturer des images et des vidéos avec
l’appareil photo de votre téléphone intelligent !

Gefühl haben, dass sich der Fokussierknopf nicht mehr weiter bewegt (in
beiden Richtungen), haben Sie das Ende des Einstellbereichs erreicht.
Drehen Sie ihn nicht mit Gewalt weiter. Fokussieren Sie stattdessen in
die entgegengesetzte Richtung. Sobald ein Bild scharf ist, drehen Sie
den Knopf im Uhrzeigersinn, um ein näher liegendes Objekt oder gegen
den Uhrzeigersinn, um ein weiter entferntes Objekt scharf einzustellen.
Drehen Sie den Vergrößerungsring rund um das Zoom-Okular, um die
Vergrößerung des Spektivs zu ändern. Fokussieren Sie nach Bedarf neu.
Das hellste und breiteste Sichtfeld hat immer die geringste Vergrößerung.

FOTOGRAFIE
35-MM-SLR- UND DSLR-KAMERAS
Um Ihr Spektiv als Teleobjektiv zu verwenden, entfernen Sie die Gummi-Augenmuschel von der Oberseite des Okulars. Sie
nehmen durch das Spektiv mit aufgesetztem Okular auf. Schrauben Sie einen optionalen T-Ring für Ihr Modell oder Ihre Marke
einer 35-mm-SLR- oder DSLR-Kamera auf das T-Gewinde oben am Okular. Bei Ultima 65-Modellen schrauben Sie den T-Ring-
Adapter (im Lieferumfang Ihres Modells enthalten) auf das Okulargewinde und dann einen T-Ring auf das Okular. Befestigen
Sie Ihr 35-mm-Kameragehäuse am T-Ring. Ultima Spektive verfügen über fixe Aperturen und daher über fixe Fokalverhältnisse.
Um Ihre Motive fotografisch korrekt zu Belichten, müssen Sie die Verschlusszeit entsprechend einstellen. Die meisten SLR-
Kameras bieten ein Messen durch die Linse, wodurch Sie erkennen, ob Ihr Bild unter- oder überbelichtet ist. Anpassungen für die
richtige Belichtung werden durch Ändern der Verschlusszeit vorgenommen. Weitere Informationen zum Messen und Ändern der
Verschlusszeiten finden Sie im Handbuch Ihrer Kamera.
TIPP: Die meisten Fotos sind bei niedrigster Vergrößerung des Zoom-Okulars am schärfsten und am hellsten.

DIGITALKAMERAS
Da Digitalkameras (keine digitalen Spiegelreflexkameras) das T-System nicht zum Anbringen von Kameras an Objektiven,
Spektiven, Teleskopen usw. verwenden, benötigen Sie eine andere Methode, um sie zur Aufnahme von Fotos verwenden
zu können. Celestron bietet einen universellen Digitalkamera-Adapter (Modell-Nr. 93626) an, mit dem Sie ganz einfach eine
Digitalkamera an Ihr Ultima-Spektiv anbringen können.
Diese wird bei Ultima 100-Modellen verwendet, um Ihr Spektiv auf einem Foto- / Videostativ richtig auszubalancieren.
So verwenden Sie die Stativ-Ausgleichsplattform:
Befestigen Sie die Plattform mithilfe des ¼ Zoll-20-Gewindelochs auf der Unterseite der Plattform oben auf Ihrem Fotostativ.
Befestigen Sie Ihr Spektiv mit der ¼ Zoll-20-Befestigungsschraube auf der Oberseite der Plattform an dieser. Schrauben Sie die
Befestigungsschraube bis zum Anschlag ein. Schieben Sie das aufgesetzte Spektiv entlang des Schlitzausschnitts, bis es auf
dem Stativ ausbalanciert ist. Ziehen Sie den Verschlussring fest, damit das Spektiv in Position gehalten wird.

1. Schauen Sie vor dem Anbringen des Adapters durch Ihre Optik
(Teleskop, Spektiv, Fernglas usw.) und vergewissern Sie sich, dass
das Bild scharf ist.
2. Öffnen Sie die Okularklemme (B), indem Sie den
Okularklemmknopf (A) oben an der Okularklemme lösen.
3. Platzieren Sie die Okularklemme über dem Okular
Ihrer Optik Ziehen Sie den Okularklemmknopf fest,
um die Okularklemme fest am Okular zu sichern.
HINWEIS: Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Klemme an einem
Abschnitt der Steckhülse des Okulars montiert ist,
der sich nicht frei drehen lässt, z. B. an einem
Augenabstandseinsteller.
4. Lösen Sie den Halterungsklemmknopf (D), bis die Halte-
rungsklemme (C) weit genug geöffnet ist, um die Breite Ihres
Telefons aufzunehmen. Ziehen Sie nach dem Einsetzen des Tele-
fons den Halterungsklemmknopf fest, bis das Telefon gesichert ist.
HINWEIS: Dieser Adapter kann mit den meisten Telefongehäusen
verwendet werden, die Gehäuseoberfläche MUSS
jedoch eben sein, damit sie richtig in die Halterung
passt. Alle Griffe, Ständer, Ringe oder erhabene
Oberflächen am Gehäuse behindern das Einsetzen
des Telefons. Alle Telefon-Schutzhüllen im Folio-Stil
müssen entfernt werden.
5. Starten Sie die Kamera-App auf Ihrem Mobiltelefon. Lösen Sie den
Halterungsausrichtungsknopf (E) und passen Sie die Position
Ihrer Telefonkamera so an, dass sie mit dem Okular Ihrer Optik
ausgerichtet ist.
6. Sobald sich die Kamera über dem Okular befindet und Ihre Kamera
das Bild des Okulars aufnimmt, ziehen Sie den Halterungsausrich-
tungsknopf vorsichtig fest, um Ihr Telefon in Position zu halten.
7. Stellen Sie bei Bedarf erneut den Fokus der Optik ein, um ein
möglichst scharfes Bild zu erhalten.
8. Sie können jetzt Bilder und Videos mit Ihrer Smartphone-Kamera
aufnehmen!

PRIMA DELL'OSSERVAZIONE
AVVERTENZA SOLARE
Non guardare mai direttamente il Sole a occhio nudo o attraverso il cannocchiale. Ciò potrebbe causare danni permanenti
agli occhi.
UTILIZZO DEL COPRIOCULARE IN GOMMA
MESSA A FUOCO
MODIFICA DELL'INGRANDIMENTO
Collegare il cannocchiale a un treppiede per foto/video prima dell'osservazione in quanto la dimensione e la potenza del
cannocchiale richiedono un treppiede robusto al fine di ottenere immagini chiare e nitide. Per i modelli Ultima 100, occorre
installare una piattaforma di bilanciamento del treppiede per garantire un equilibrio ottimale su un treppiede (vedere le informazioni
di seguito). Assicurarsi di rimuovere il tappo della lente prima dell'osservazione. È possibile utilizzare il tubo di visualizzazione per
localizzare l'oggetto che si desidera guardare, quindi guardare attraverso l'oculare.
L'oculare zoom include un morbido coprioculare in gomma. Ripiegare
i coprioculari in gomma per osservare l'intero campo visivo quando si
indossano occhiali. Se non si indossano occhiali, lasciare i coprioculari in
gomma in posizione sollevata.
Per la messa a fuoco, ruotare lentamente la manopola della messa a fuoco
fino a quando l'immagine nell'oculare risulterà chiara e nitida. In genere
occorre una nuova messa a fuoco quando si cambia ingrandimento.
Se si percepisce che la manopola di messa a fuoco non può spostarsi
ulteriormente (in nessuna direzione), allora si è raggiunto il finecorsa,
non provare a forzare ulteriormente. Effettuare invece una nuova messa a
fuoco ruotando in direzione opposta. Una volta messa a fuoco l'immagine,
ruotare la manopola in senso orario per mettere a fuoco un oggetto più
vicino e in senso antiorario per un oggetto più distante.
Ruotare la ghiera di ingrandimento attorno all'oculare zoom per modificare
il livello di ingrandimento del cannocchiale. Effettuare una nuova messa a
fuoco come necessario. Il campo visivo più nitido e ampio è sempre quello
con l'ingrandimento minore.

FOTOGRAFIA
FOTOCAMERE DSLR E SLR 35 MM
Per utilizzare l'oculare come teleobiettivo, rimuovere il coprioculare in gomma dall'oculare. Le foto verranno scattate attraverso il
cannocchiale con l'oculare fissato. Avvitare un anello a T opzionale per la marca e il modello di fotocamera DSLR o da 35 mm nella
filettatura posta in cima all'oculare. Per i modelli Ultima 65, avvitare l'adattatore per anello a T (in dotazione con il proprio modello)
nelle filettature dell'oculare, quindi avvitare l'anello a T nell'oculare. Collegare il corpo della fotocamera da 35 mm all'anello a
T. I cannocchiali Ultima presentano aperture fisse e, di conseguenza, rapporti/f fissi. Per esporre in modo adeguato i soggetti
dal punto di vista fotografico, occorre impostare la velocità dell'otturatore di conseguenza. La maggior parte delle fotocamere
SLR offre un sistema di misurazione through the lens (TTL) che consente di sapere se l'immagine è sotto o sovra esposta. Le
regolazioni per ottenere un'esposizione corretta vengono effettuate modificando la velocità dell'otturatore. Consultare il manuale
della fotocamera per informazioni specifiche sulla misurazione e sulla modifica delle velocità dell'otturatore.
SUGGERIMENTO: La maggior parte delle fotografie risulteranno più nitide e luminose utilizzando l'ingrandimento inferiore

FOTOCAMERE DIGITALI
Poiché le fotocamere digitali (non fotocamere digitali SLR) non utilizzano il sistema a T per essere montate su obiettivi,
cannocchiali, telescopi, ecc., occorre procedere in un'altra maniera per essere in grado di utilizzarle per scattare foto. Celestron
offre un adattatore universale per fotocamere digitali (modello n. 93626), che rende agevole montare la fotocamera digitale al
cannocchiale Ultima.
Questa è usata con i modelli Ultima 100 per tenere adeguatamente in equilibrio il cannocchiale su un treppiede per foto/video.
Per utilizzare la piattaforma di bilanciamento treppiede procedere come segue.
Montare la piattaforma in cima al treppiede per foto mediante il foro filettato ¼”-20 sulla parte inferiore della piattaforma.
Fissare il cannocchiale alla piattaforma mediante la vite di montaggio ¼”-20 posta sul lato superiore della piattaforma. Avvitare
completamente la vite di montaggio. Far scorrere il cannocchiale così fissato lungo la parte scanalata fino a quando il cannocchiale
sarà in equilibrio sul treppiede. Serrare l'anello di serraggio per tenere il cannocchiale in posizione.

Per proteggere il cannocchiale quando non in uso, sistemare tutti i coperchi e i tappi per tenere pulite le ottiche. Sistemare il
cannocchiale nella morbida borsa da trasporto. Se occorre pulire le ottiche, impiegare un apposito kit di pulizia e seguire le
relative istruzioni.
MANUTENZIONE
SPECIFICHE

1. Prima di fissare l’adattatore, guardare attraverso il proprio
strumento ottico (telescopio, cannocchiali, binocoli, ecc.) e
assicurarsi che la vista sia a fuoco.
2. Aprire il fermo dell’oculare (B) allentando la manopola del
fermo (A) sulla sommità del fermo.
3. Sistemare il fermo dell’oculare sull’oculare del proprio strumento
ottico. Serrare la manopola del fermo per fissare il fermo sull’oculare.
NOTA: Assicurarsi di montare il fermo sulla parte dell’oculare che non
ruota liberamente, come ad esempio il regolatore per
estrazione pupillare.
4. Allentare la manopola del fermo del supporto (D) fino ad aprire
il fermo del supporto (C) in maniera tale da poter accogliere
il proprio telefono. Una volta posizionato il telefono, serrare la
manopola del fermo del supporto fino a bloccare il telefono.
NOTA: Il presente adattatore può essere utilizzato con la maggior
parte delle custodie; tuttavia la superficie della custodia
DEVE essere piana in modo da sistemarsi correttamente
nel supporto. Eventuali scanalature, supporti, anelli o superfici
rialzate potrebbero impedire il posizionamento del telefono.
Rimuovere le custodie a portafoglio.
5. Avviare l’app della fotocamera del proprio telefono. Allentare la
manopola di allineamento del supporto (E) e regolare il
posizionamento della fotocamera del telefono in modo che sia in
linea con l’oculare del proprio strumento ottico.
6. Una volta che la fotocamera si trova sull’oculare e la fotocamera
cattura le immagini attraverso l’oculare, serrare con attenzione
la manopola di allineamento del supporto per fissare il telefono in
posizione.
7. Se necessario, regolare nuovamente la messa a fuoco dello
strumento ottico per ottenere un’immagine più nitida possibile.
8. Ora è tutto pronto per scattare foto o fare video con la fotocamera
del proprio smartphone!
