1. Keep work area clean. Clutteredareasinvite injuries.
2. Observe work area conditions. Keep work area welllighted.
3. Store idle equipment. When not in use, the Digital Caliper must be stored
in a dry location. Always lock up products and keep out of reach of
children.
4. Use the right product for the job. There are certain applications for
whichthe Caliper was designed. Do not modify the Digital Caliper and do
not use the Caliper for a purpose for which it was not intended.
5. Check for damaged parts. Before using any product, any part that
appearsdamaged shouldbe carefullychecked to determine that it will
operateproperly and perform its intended function. Check foranybroken
or damaged parts and any other conditions that may affect its operation.
Replaceor repair damaged or wornparts immediately.
6. Replacement parts and accessories. Whenservicing,use only identical
replacement parts.Use of any other parts will void the warranty.
7. Do not operate product if under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Readwarning labels on prescriptions to determine if your judgment or
reflexes are impaired while taking drugs. If there is any doubt, do not
operatethe product.
8. Use eye protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles.
9. Battery strength will affect performance. Use fresh batteries at all times.

Unpacking
When unpacking your Digital Caliper, check to make sure that the product is intact
and undamaged. If any parts are missing or broken, please call

Operation
Your Digital Caliper requires no assembly. It is important that you read the entire
manual to become familiar with the product BEFORE you use the Digital Caliper.
Do not bump or shock the tool when applying it to any work piece. Rough
treatment may damage the highly sensative mechanism.
Measuring the Outside of an Object
1. Push the “On” Button (see Figure 1) to “ON”. Use the thumb control to
separate the sides of the Caliper. Slide the object you wish to measure
in-betweenthe pins on the Caliper or betweenthejawson the Caliper-see
Figure1.
