CAUTION: Always test the steam cleaner first on a hidden or concealed area of
the surface or fabric to be cleaned to check its tolerance to the steam.

•Steam may discolour shiny plastics.
•Acrylic, velvet or linen react very sensitively to the temperature of steam.
Do not use the steam cleaner on products without having first carried out a

suitability test on a concealed area. Kogan.com cannot be held responsible for
damage to objects, materials, people, animals or plants that occurs due to the
unsuitable use of steam or improper use of the appliance.
Only fill tank with pure water. Do not use any additives at all, as they can
damage the unit. It is advisable to use distilled water to prevent limescale
deposits if you water is hard. Otherwise boil the water first to extend the
products service life.
CAUTION: Do not exceed the maximum quantity of 1.5 litres when filling the
tank.
Using the Steam Cleaner
•WARNING: Never aim the steam outlet at people, animals, plants or
electrical systems).
Release the child-proof locking device by pushing the black triangular pin on the
right-hand side of the steam gun towards the left (Fig 3). Hot steam will now
escape if the steam button is operated. To start with, hold the steam gun over
an old cloth to absorb any initial water spray. Operate the steam button until the
steam is being emitted evenly. Cleaning can now begin.
Fig. 3
Do not aim the steam outlet as a single spot for too long. Loosen dirt by moving
the steam jet back and forth.
Do not tip the appliance by more than 45° during use, and ensure that the
appliance always stands on a firm base. One full tank is enough for a maximum
of 50 minutes use. Do not leave the unit unsupervised while switched on, and if
children are nearby, be sure to use the child-proof lock to secure the steam
switch. To do this, press the triangular black pin on the left-hand side of the
steam gun to the right.
WARNING: Housing and accessories will become hot during use! Allow products
to cool down before changing any accessories. Never open the tank cap while
the unit is switched on, as the tank will be under pressure!
NOTE: The steam cleaner is fitter with an overheating cut-out switch. The unit
will switch off automatically on reaching a temperature of 180°C to prevent
overheating. Disconnect unit from the mains immediately by removing the plug
from the socket. Allow the unit 30 minutes to cool down before plugging it in
again.
NOTE: Residual steam will continue to escape for a few seconds after you switch
off the steam function.

To ing U the Water
The tank must be topped up if the steam flow being emitted starts to decrease.
Switch the steam cleaner off by pressing the ON/OFF switch. The green
operating lamp will go out. Then press the steam release button on the steam
gun to release all remaining pressure inside the tank, then lock the gun.
Remove the plug from the mains and allow the unit to cool down.
Take care when opening the plug as the water in the tank may still be slightly
under pressure even after the unit has cooled down. Press the cap downwards
and turn anti-clockwise, allowing any pressure to escape before removing the
cap fully from the unit. As the air escaping may still be hot, you should use a
cloth in your hand when opening the cap.
Top the unit up with water by using the measuring jug and funnel, then carefully
close the tank cap again. The steam cleaner can now be plugged in and
switched on again. The unit will be ready to use once the red heating lamp goes
out again.
