Ceta PMC-220 User manual

This is the installation and registration guide for CET Meter which is referred to as MB-63 or
6M+One device on our system. Throughout the rest of the document, the device will be
addressed as CET Meter

1. WARNING
DO NOT power-up the Solar Analytics device before/simultaneously with the CET         
Meter. It has to be powered up after the CET Meter.

2. The sequence
○DO NOT power-up the Solar Analytics device before/simultaneously with the        
CET Meter. It has to be powered up after the CET Meter.
○Install the CET device accordingly
○Establish the Modbus connection from the CET device to the MB-63 device
○Power up the CET device for 30 seconds
○Power up the Solar Analytics device

3. What device are we dealing with?
○PMC-220 — straight-through connection.
○PMC-340-BA — straight-through connection.
○PMC-340-BB — 3P4W method: using the White CTs.







4. PMC-220
○Hardware installation
i. Straight through connection
ii. MB-63 Modbus D (+) and D (-) (NOT ▽) are to be connected to Terminal 7               
and 8 respectively.

5. PMC-340-BA
○Hardware installation
i. Straight through connection
ii. MB-63 Modbus D (+) and D (-) (NOT ▽) are to be connected to Terminal              
11 and 12 respectively.
○Configuration
i. Making sure the device has the correct ID
↵2s, ↓ x1, PW, ↵x1, enter the password as 0000 to enter the configuration               
mode, then press ↓ until you see the CoM SET, make sure the ID is set to 100.

6. PMC-340-BB
○Hardware installation
i. The white CTs are to be attached to the PMC-340-BB — Pink on top (L)              
and White on the bottom (L’).
ii. The black CTs are to be attached to the MB-63.
iii. Terminal 1, 2, 3, and 4 are to be connected to the Red, White, Blue, and               
Neutral respectively.
iv. MB-63 Modbus B (+) and A (-) (NOT ▽) are to be connected to Terminal              
12 and 11 respectively — same as PMC-340-BA

○Configuration
i. Set up the turn ratio of cr1 and cr2 to 600 and 5

The turn ratio of CT1 equals to 0 is invalid! Hence, need to set the turn
ratio to 00605 before tuning it back down to 600.

↵2s, ↓ x1, PW, ↵x1, enter the password as 0000 to enter the configuration               
mode, then press ↓until you see the SYS SET, ↵x1, set the cr1 to 00600, set                 
the cr2 to 00005, ↵2s twice to go back to the Main Menu. (Continue to the                
next point).
ii. Making sure the device has the correct ID
↵2s, ↓ x1, PW, ↵x1, enter the password as 0000 to enter the configuration               
mode, then press ↓ until you see the CoM SET, make sure the ID is set to 100.



7. Final check — voltage test!

Solar Analytics is unable to do a remote phase-swap with the CET Meter, hence, the              
installation has to be correct on the spot!

○PMC-340-BB
i. Get the multimeter ready.
ii. Confirm that the voltage between Terminal 4 to Terminal 1, 2, and 3 are             
the same as the Terminal 4 to Phase 1, 2, and 3 respectively.

i.e. P1 to V1 should be very close to 0 and so on.

○PMC-340-BA
i. Get the multimeter ready.
ii. Confirm that the voltage between N to Terminal L1, L2, and L3 on the             
340-BA are the same as the N to P1, P2, and P3 on the MB-63 respectively.

i.e. P1 to V1 should be very close to 0 and so on.

FAQ
1. How can we download the CET Meter data?
○The data can only be accessed through an API.

2. Why does the system is not allowing to set the CT1 ratio to 600?
○See the Configuration section of the PMC-340-BB.

3. Why is the MB light on the MB-63 is not green?
○Have you set the ID to 100?




