The Battery Charger has been des gned to prov de rel able, qual ty charg ng for battery systems n

Warning
1. For any lithium battery, such as LiPo, LiFePO4, Li-ion, LiTo and other Li battery, the PCM
(Protection Circuit Module), BMS, cell monitor, saver etc. must be built-in the battery pack,
because the charger don’t monitor each cell voltage, even the total battery voltage don’t be
over charged, the single cell voltage is possible be over charged, special for larger impedance
cell. So if no PCM or BMS protect each cell from over charged, it is very dangerous.
2. Before charge, the cell count must be setup correctly, it is very important. Cell count is not the
cell quantity in a battery pack, it means cell count of connection in series, even cells
connected in parallel, the cell count is 1 NOT . Please according to your battery pack rated
voltage and the following table get the cell count.

Operation Instructions
1. Connect C3060A/B to AC 110 / 220V outlet by the spec al heavy power cable, f use other brand
cable, please note the w re AWG must be AWG14 at least.
2. Connect battery to charger.
3. Connect Chargery BMS8T to charger f poss ble.
4. 2 seconds later, the dle nterface s d splayed; the charger s ready to charge. Actual output voltage,
current and nternal temperature s also d splayed, but C3060A/B s at dle mode (no output) to save
power consumpt on.
5. Press knob shortly can choose Battery type; press aga n on
Battery type such as L Po can enter nto L Po charge setup
nterface. Here, you can setup cell count, charge current,
charge term nal current, and charge term nal voltage per
cell, and then press knob for 3 seconds start charg ng.
6. Stop charg ng, the battery voltage w ll goes down because
of self-d scharge, f need ma nta n battery voltage, please setup the Restart Charge YES (only for
C3060B), the charger w ll cont nue to charge when battery
voltage goes down to 5% of total battery voltage.
If set up to YES, the charger d splay KEEP after charge
f n shed.
If set up to NO, the charger d splay DONE after charge
f n shed.

7. Setup the charger work at Auto mode (only for C3060B),
F n sh all charge sett ngs, alternate Auto charge YES and press Knob for 3 seconds, the charger w ll
start to charge, and work at Auto mode n future t ll d sable t.
When the charger work at Auto mode, what you need to do s connect the AC power and battery to
the charger. The charger w ll operate at last sett ngs.
On Auto nterface, press Knob for 3 seconds alternate to Idle mode.
If need not charge as last settings, pleaser set up Auto Charge is NO

10. At any t me Press knob shortly stop charg ng. The charger w ll work at dle mode to save power
consumpt on. Generally you needn’t d sconnect t from AC outlet, because t only consume under
1W power at dle mode.

Auto mode operation instructions
When you need charge same one battery repeat, you can set up Auto Charge s yes (Only for
C3060B), the charger w ll charge automat cally next t me, need not setup any parameters. At AUTO
charge, press Knob button shortly stop charg ng at any t me, and press t aga n start to charge. Or
dur ng charge, d sconnect battery stop charg ng, and connect t, start to charge aga n automat cally.
When need to charge new battery at d fferent parameters, d sconnect battery at AUTO nterface,
press Knob button for 3 seconds alternate dle nterface, the charger w ll work at ntell gent operate
mode, all parameters can be setup n th s mode.

Remote control charge Mode
COM1 is on the ottom of charger, connect to Chargery BMS, the charge current w ll be controlled by
BMS when any cell voltage reach OVP.
Battery connector s as below, two heavy term nal connect to battery pos t ve and negat ve separately,
there are two sl m term nal n m ddle of connector, t connect to external dev ce. The charge current can
be controlled by remote s gnal. The s gnal should be 1KHz 5V or 3.3V square
Note:
1. To real ze remote control charge by external dev ce, please purchase C3060A.
2. If don’t connect external dev ce, the charger can be operated by manual, f connect to the external
dev ce, and send a su table s gnal, after press Knob for 3 seconds start to charge, the charge current
w ll be adjusted accord ng to external s gnal. External s gnal can turn off charge (charge current s
zero, the charge status d splay KEEP), and control charge current at range 1A to 60A.
Warning
PWM s gnal adjust charge current, ncrease or decrease 10% max mal each
t me per one second.

Remote control operation instructions
1. Connect to AC source, turn on the charger
2. After f n sh n t al zat on, the C3060A enter nto dle model
3. Connect battery and external s gnal to the charger. Exclude battery
pos t ve and negat ve, the external s gnal must be connected to m ddle
two term nals. The battery voltage w ll be d splayed, but t s less than
battery voltage , t s normal, when start to charge, the battery w ll be
d splayed accurately.
4. Press Knob enter nto battery type nterface, alternate battery type and press Knob, enter nto
charge setup nterface,
a) Set up cell count,
b) Set up charge current, t should be the max mal current that the battery can be charged, when
PWM fa led, the charger w ll charge at th s current.
c) Set up end current. At CV phase (constant voltage), when the charg ng current s lower than
sett ngs, the charger stop charg ng and the battery fully charged, d splay KEEP charge status.
The end current s a percentage (1-60%) of charge current sett ng . Such as f the charge current
sett ng s 10A, end current s setup to 10%, the end current s 1A.
d) Set up end voltage, the voltage s cell voltage NOT battery pack total voltage, t must be under
or same as OVP on BMS. C3060A w ll charge at constant voltage when total battery voltage
reach cell count*setup value.
Note: On the charge mode, cannot setup restart charge and Auto charge.
9. Press Knob for 3 seconds, the charger w ll start to charge, the charge current w ll be mod f ed
accord ng to the Duty cycle of PWM from external dev ce. The h gher Duty cycle, the h gher current.
The current range s 1A-60A. need decrease the current, please decrease the Duty Cycle and then
ncrease t.
10. F n sh charge, the beeper sounds 10 t mes, charge current s zero, and d splay KEEP status. If need
cont nue to charge, adjust duty cycle to under 3% then ncrease gradually to adjust charge current,
start to charge aga n.
11. Dur ng charge, press Knob stop charg ng at any t me.

Program Setup
1. In charger dle nterface, press kno button for 2 seconds enter
nto Program Setup menu.
2. LCD d splay the follow ng nformat on n sequence and you can
mod fy ts value. When you want to alter a parameter value, press
the kno button make the value bl nk then mod fy the value by
rotate the button. The new value w ll be conf rmed and saved by
press ng the button aga n.
3. Press kno qu t the setup menu.

All parameters w ll be remembered by the C3060A/B t ll next change.

As power supply
On Battery type nterface, choose power supply setup output voltage
and max mal output current, the charger w ll work as a programmed
power supply; you can set up the output voltage and max mal output
current, and then press Knob for 3 seconds power on the charger.
Output voltage adjustment range: 10V~30V,

Total solution on E-Vehicle application
Chargery BMS is a successful combination with the charger C3060. When all cell voltage reach setup
value, BMS communicate with charger, the charger continue to charge at a smaller current rather than
stopping charging.
It is very important at large current charge application. Because Start and Stop charging repeat by
Close or Open relay or MOSFET, not only cause battery voltage fluctuation at a large range, shorten
mechanical switch or electronic switch life, but also extend charging time notably.
Chargery BMS and charger as a total solution can charge and monitor each cell voltage, temperature,
charge and discharge current, short circuit even cell voltage difference, and charge each cell to any
voltage you want, such as you can set up the charge terminal voltage 3.8 V per LiPo cell, when charge
is done, the battery pack will be storage at safe status,
NOTE
Chargery charger decrease charge current according to “Over Charge Protection (P) Voltage” on BMS
setup, so please setup the charge terminal voltage in accordance with Over Charge Protection (P)
Voltage on BMS.

Error Information
When the follow ng error events tr gged, the beeper w ll sound for 10 seconds and error nformat on w ll
be d splayed, you can press kno utton turn off beeper sound and back up to Idle or auto mode
nterface.

Warnings
Never leave the charger unattended when t power on. If any malfunct on s observed, please
press Knob button power off the charger as fast as poss ble.
Keep away the charger from dust, damp, ra n, heat d rect sunsh ne and v brat on. Do not drop t.
The charger should be set up on non- nflammable and non-conduct ve surface. Never place on a
car seat, carpet or s m lar.

Application Notes.
Storage Energy System
If C3060A/B charger appl ed to large capac ty energy System such as PV system, C3060A s suggested, the
charge current can be controlled by remote dev ce. The C3060A can rece ve PWM s gnal and adjust
charge current.
The current range s 1A to 60A.
When PWM duty cycle under 10%, C3060A w ll stop charg ng.
When PWM s gnal fa l, the charger w ll charge at the sett ngs by manual.
E-car or other E- Vehicle
When C3060A/B appl ed to E-boat or other E- Veh cle battery, C3060B s suggested, and Auto charge
mode s the best, after setup all charge parameters and setup Auto Charge YES, the charger can charge
the battery automat cally at any t me. Need not any operat on bes des connect AC power source and
battery to the charger.
RC or UAV
When C3060A/B need charge mult ply chem stry battery, C3060B s suggested, on normal work mode,
the charger s easy to set up for all k nds of battery. It s enough flex ble to meet almost challenge.
