Driver Information Center (DIC)
The DIC informs you of the status of
many of your vehicle’s systems and is
used to display driver personalization
features and warning/status messages.
The display is located at the bottom
of the instrument panel cluster.
The following DIC controls are located
on the instrument panel to the right of
the steering wheel.
(Fuel): Press this button to display
fuel information.
(Gages): Press this button to
display engine gage information and
tire pressure.
TRIP: Press this button to display the
odometer, trip information and engine
oil life.
OPTIO : Press this button to scroll
through the personalization features
that are available on your vehicle.
RESET: Press this button to reset
system functions when displayed
or to acknowledge messages on the
DIC. This button is also used to select
personalization features within Options.
Warnings and Messages
If a problem is sensed in one of your
vehicle’s systems, a warning or
message will appear in the DIC display.
After a warning or message appears,
press the RESET button to clear the
display screen for further use.
Remember, pressing RESET only makes
the message disappear; it does not
resolve the problem.
Check Engine or Other Warning Lights
with OnStar® (if equipped)
If your Check Engine light, or any other
warning message appears, you can
push the blue OnStar button and speak
to a live advisor. OnStar Advisors can
access certain diagnostic information
and can tell you how serious the
problem is, what you should do about
it, or can contact a dealer or Roadside
service for you. Refer to the OnStar
Owner uide for details.

Keyless Access Transmitter
Your Corvette features
Keyless Access and
Pushbutton Start. You
can keep the Keyless
Access transmitter in
a pocket or purse
and operate the doors,
trunk and ignition.
The transmitter
communicates with the Corvette’s
computer system via antennas.

Opening the Doors
To open the doors,
simply touch the
pad located at the
rear edge of each
door. Once the pad
is pressed, the
doors unlock and
open if the Keyless
Access transmitter
is within three feet of the door.

Starting and Stopping
Your Engine
To Start the Engine:
1. Press the brake
pedal on
automatic
transmission-
equipped
vehicles or the
clutch pedal
on manual
transmission-equipped vehicles.
2. Press the top of the Start button,
located on the instrument panel to
the right of the steering wheel.
The engine will start if the Keyless
Access transmitter is in the car.
To Stop the Engine:
1. Move the shift lever to Park (P) on
automatic transmission-equipped
vehicles or to Reverse (R) on manual
transmission-equipped vehicles.
2. Press and hold the Off/ACC button
(the bottom part of the Start
button) until the engine shuts off.

Leaving the Vehicle
Open the door by pressing the button at
the front of the armrest. When exiting
the vehicle, take the Keyless Access
transmitter with you. You can lock your
vehicle using one of three methods:
• Lock the doors with the power door
lock switch located on the door
panel, step out, and close the door.
• Press the Lock button on the
transmitter after you step out of
the vehicle.
• Program your vehicle for Passive
Locking, covered in this booklet
under Personalization Features.

Opening and Closing the
Hatch/Trunk
Your Corvette provides three
convenient ways of opening the
hatch/trunk:
• Touch the button located above the
license plate (the Keyless Access
transmitter must be within three
feet of the button).
• Press the Trunk Release button
located to the left of the
steering wheel.
• Press the Trunk Release button on
the Keyless Access transmitter.

If the Transmitter Battery Is Weak:
1. Place the transmitter in the glove
box transmitter pocket with the
buttons facing toward the
passenger side of the vehicle.
2. Press the brake pedal with the
vehicle in Park (P) (with an
automatic transmission), or
press the clutch pedal (with a
manual transmission).
3. Press the Start button. The vehicle
will start.
The transmitter battery should be
replaced as soon as possible. The Driver
Information Center may display
a FOB BATTERY LOW message.

Loss of Power
Loss of Vehicle Electrical Power
If your vehicle has lost battery
power, you can open the driver’s
door manually.
If Outside the Vehicle:
1. Insert your master key into the
lock cylinder located above the
rear license plate and turn to open
the trunk.
2. Manually lift the trunk lid.
3. Pull the door release handle (A)
located on the driver’s side of
the trunk.
The driver’s door can now be opened.
If Inside the Vehicle:
• Pull the door
release handle

the floor next to
the seat.
Loss of Keyless
Access Transmitter
Battery Power
Under normal use,
the battery in your
transmitter should last about three
years. If the transmitter battery
becomes weak, it may cause the Driver
Information Center to display a NO
FOBS DETECTED message when you
try to start the vehicle.
The master
key is stored
inside the
Keyless Access
transmitter.
To remove the
master key,
push the
small button
near the bottom end of the
transmitter and pull out the key.

The Tire Pressure Monitor alerts you
when a significant reduction in
pressure occurs in one or more of your
vehicle’s tires by illuminating the
(low tire pressure) warning light on the
instrument panel cluster. The low tire
pressure warning light will remain on
until you correct the tire pressure.
A message may also appear on the DIC.
Correcting the Tire Pressure
When the low tire pressure warning
light illuminates, you must fill the tire
to the proper tire inflation pressure
(just as you must refuel the vehicle
when the low fuel warning light
illuminates). The Tire and Loading
Information label shows the correct
inflation pressure for the tires when
they’re cold. “Cold” means your vehicle
has been sitting for at least three hours
or driven no more than one mile.
You can temporarily remove the DIC
message by acknowledging it with
your DIC controls. However, at the next
vehicle start-up, the DIC message will
reappear if the tire pressure has not
been corrected.
During cooler conditions, the low tire
pressure warning light may appear
when the vehicle is first started and
then turn off as you start to drive the
vehicle. This could be an early indicator
that your tire pressures are getting
low and need to be inflated to the
proper pressure.

PERFORMANCE & MAINTENANCE
Mobil 1® Motor Oil
Your Corvette comes factory-filled with
Mobil 1® synthetic oil. Corvette’s
computer system monitors the life of
the oil to inform you when it needs to
be changed.
To view the remaining oil life, press
the TRIP button repeatedly until OIL
LIFE appears in the DIC display. The oil
life monitor is programmed to
correspond to the attributes of Mobil 1
synthetic oil. If you use any motor oil
other than Mobil 1 or equivalent
synthetic oil, the oil life monitoring
system will not be accurate.
Whenever your oil is changed, press
and hold the RESET button while OIL
LIFE is displayed in the DIC display to
reset the oil life monitor. The system
will reset to 100% and calculate when
the next oil change is required.

Extended Mobility Tires (EMT)
The Corvette is equipped with Run-Flat
oodyear Extended Mobility Tires
(EMT) or Michelin ZP tires that
eliminate the need for a spare. The tire
design enables safe function during
and after loss of pressure for some
distance at a moderate speed. The
shorter the distance that you drive
with loss of pressure, the better the
chance that the tire can be repaired.
As soon as possible, contact Roadside
Assistance for the nearest authorized
M or run-flat tire servicing facility
and have the tire inspected.

ote: The Tire Pressure Monitor can
alert you about low tire pressure, but
it doesn’t replace normal monthly
tire maintenance.

Active Handling and Traction
Control Systems
The Active Handling
and Traction
Control Systems
help you maintain
directional control
during most driving
conditions and limit wheelspin. When
the system is working, the ACTIVE
HANDLIN message is displayed in
the DIC. You may also feel or hear the
system working.
• Press the Active Handling and
Traction Control Systems button
( ), located on the console,
once to turn off the Traction
Control System.
• Press twice to activate the
Competitive Driving Mode.
Selective Ride Control
(if equipped)
The Selective Ride Control system
provides reduced impact harshness,
improved road isolation, improved
high-speed stability and handling
response, and better control of body
ride motions.
To select the desired suspension
setting at any time, use the control
knob located on the center console.
Tour: Use for normal city and highway
driving. This setting provides a smooth,
comfortable ride.
Sport: Use where road conditions
or personal preference demand
more control. This setting provides
more “feel,” or response, to the
road conditions.

1st–4th Shift Feature
(Manual Transmission)
The 1st–4th Shift feature helps you
get the best possible fuel economy. A
1st–4th shift light will come on when
the following conditions are met:
• Engine coolant temperature is
higher than 169°F (76°C),
• You are going 15 to 19 mph (24 to
31 km/h), and
• You are at 21 percent throttle or less.
When the 1st–4th shift light comes
on, you can only shift from First (1) to
Fourth (4) instead of First (1) to
Second (2). You must complete the shift
into Fourth (4) to turn off this feature.
After shifting to Fourth (4), you may
downshift to a lower gear if you prefer.

ote: Forcing the shift lever into any
gear except Fourth (4) when the
1st–4th shift light comes on may
damage the transmission.
• Press and hold to turn off the
Active Handling and Traction
Control Systems.
When turned off, the Active Handling
System and Traction Control Systems
light will come on, a chime will sound
and the Traction System and Active
Handling–Off message will be
displayed in the DIC.
• To turn on the Active Handling
and Traction Control Systems, press
again.
The system also will reset to On each
time the vehicle is started. Chevrolet
recommends that Active Handling and
Traction Control be left on.

use premium unleaded gasoline. See
your Owner Manual for information
on fuel use for your particular vehicle.

6-Speed Paddle Shift with
Automatic Modes
Automatic Modes
The familiar automatic transmission
shift positions have been replaced with
PRNDS. Drive (D) is the conventional
automatic shift mode optimized for
smooth shifts. The Sport (S) mode
also can be operated in a full
automatic mode with firmer shifts
delivering enhanced performance,
but only if the manual paddle shifters
on the steering wheel are not used.
Manual mode is selected by using the
manual paddle shifters in the Sport (S)
mode, which puts the driver in control
of gear selection.
Sport Mode (S)
Place the shift
lever in the
Sport (S) mode to
shift gears using
the paddle
shifters. Push
either paddle to upshift to the next
higher gear. Squeeze either paddle
behind the steering wheel spokes to
downshift to the next lower gear. The
current gear will be displayed in the
DIC on the instrument cluster or the
Head-Up Display (HUD) (if equipped).
If the current vehicle speed is too low
when requesting a higher gear or is
too high when requesting a lower
gear, the shift will not occur and an X
over the gear display will indicate that
the requested gear was denied.
Starting from a Stop
In the Sport (S) mode, the transmission
will automatically downshift as the
vehicle slows down. From a stop, it will
start in Second (2) gear. It may also be
started in Third (3) gear if necessary,
such as when starting on slippery
roads. Commanding the vehicle to
start up in Fourth (4) gear or higher
will be denied.
As vehicle speed increases, the
transmission will stay in the current
gear until the paddle is pushed to
upshift. If the upshift is not
commanded by pushing a paddle,
the vehicle speed will be limited in
order to protect the engine.

Premium Fuel
Brake noise may occur under certain
weather or operating conditions with
your performance braking system.
This brake system is designed for
best performance. Brake noise is
normal and does not affect system
performance.

RDS Radio Functions
Your audio system is equipped with a
Radio Data System (RDS). RDS features
are available for use only on FM stations
that broadcast RDS information. RDS
relies on receiving specific information
from these stations and will work only
when the information is available. With
RDS, the radio can:
• Seek stations broadcasting the type
of programming you select. Press
the CAT button and turn the Tune
knob to select the desired category.
Press SEEK to search for the
category selected.
• Receive announcements concerning
local and national emergencies.
• Display messages from radio stations.
• Seek stations with traffic
announcements.
When you tune to an RDS station, the
station name and call letters will appear
on the display along with the frequency.
RDS stations may also provide the time
of day, a program type (PTY) for current
programming and the name of the
program being broadcast.
To view the RDS time, if available,
press and hold the hour (H) and
minute (M) buttons.
RDS Messages
When using RDS, the following
messages may appear on your
vehicle’s audio system display:
ALERT!: Alert warns of local or national
emergencies. You will hear the
announcement, even if the volume is
muted or a CD is playing. You will not be
able to turn off ALERT! announcements.
AUDIO SYSTEMS
I FO (Information): If the current
station has a message, the Information
icon will illuminate; press this button
to view the message.
TRAF (Traffic): Press this button to find
a station that broadcasts traffic
announcements. Once a station is
found, TA will appear on the display.
When a traffic announcement comes
on, you will hear it. Press SEEK to find
the next station that broadcasts traffic
information. To deactivate the traffic
function, press the TRAF button again.

XM™ Satellite Radio offers more than

Loading a CD (if equipped with
the Multiple-Disc CD Player)
To Load a Single CD:
• Press and release the Load
button ( ).
• Insert a CD partway into the slot,
label side up. The CD changer will
pull the CD in. Once loaded, the CD
will begin to play automatically.
To Load Multiple CDs:
• Press and hold for two seconds.
A beep will sound and LOAD ALL
DISC will be displayed.
Auxiliary Input Jack
There is an auxiliary input jack on the
upper right of the audio system
faceplate. You can connect an
external audio device using a 3.5 mm
(1/8 inch) cable. The radio will display
AUX INPUT DEVICE and play audio
from that device.
ote: Input Jack not included on the
Navigation Radio.
Bluetooth® System (if equipped)
The in-vehicle Bluetooth system allows
users with a Bluetooth-enabled cell
phone to make and receive Hands-Free
phone calls utilizing the vehicle’s audio
system, microphone and controls.
The Bluetooth-enabled cell phone
must be paired to the in-vehicle
Bluetooth system before it can be
used in the vehicle.
Bluetooth Controls
The following Bluetooth controls are
located on the steering wheel:
(Push to
Talk) — Press and
hold for two
seconds to answer
incoming calls,
confirm system
information, and
to start voice
recognition.
(Phone on Hook) — Press to end or
reject a call, and to cancel an operation.
The system operates using voice
recognition commands. To help
increase accuracy, the system will play
a short tone after prompting you for
information or a command. Do not
speak until after the tone.
(Seek/Scan): Press the up or down
arrow to go to the next or previous
radio station or, when a CD is playing,
to the next or previous track. Press and
hold either arrow for two seconds to
scan radio stations.
1–6 (Preset Stations): Press this button
to go to the next preset radio station.

2. Adjust the temperature to a
comfortable setting between 60°F
(16°C) and 90°F (32°C).
If you set the system at the coolest or
warmest temperature setting, the
system will remain in manual mode at
that temperature and it will not go into
automatic mode.
Manual Operation
Off: Press the driver-side climate control
knob to turn off the climate control
system. This is the only setting that fully
shuts off the fan. The digital display will
show only the outside temperature.
(Recirculation): Press this button to
turn the Recirculation mode on or off.
When on, it keeps outside air from
coming in the vehicle.
Recirculation is not available when
using the Defrost or Defog mode.
A/C Off: Press this button to turn
the air conditioning system off.
For maximum cooling on hot days,
do the following:
1. Open the windows to let hot inside
air escape; then close them.
2. Select the Vent mode.
3. Select Recirculation mode.
4. Turn on the A/C.
5. Select the coolest temperature.
6. Select the highest fan speed.
(Fan): Press this button to
manually increase or decrease the
fan speed.
(Mode): Press this button to
manually lock in the current air delivery
setting and to stop the automatic mode
control. To change the setting, press the
Mode button again and select one of
the following:
• When INSERT CD # appears on the
display, place a CD partway into the
slot, label side up. The CD changer
will pull the CD in. Once the disc has
been loaded, INSERT CD # will be
displayed again, indicating the next
CD may be loaded. Follow the
prompts to load up to six CDs. If the
radio is on, the last CD loaded will
begin to play automatically.
• When loading less than six CDs,
press the button to cancel the
loading function.

ote: If you add any label to a CD,
insert more than one CD into the slot
at a time, or attempt to play
scratched or damaged CDs, you could
damage the CD player. When using
the CD player, use only CDs in good
condition without any labels, load one
CD at a time, and keep the CD player
and the loading slot free of foreign
materials, liquids or debris.
Automatic Climate Control
CLIMATE CONTROLS
When automatic operation is active,
the system will automatically control
the inside temperature, the air delivery
mode and the fan speed.
To set Automatic operation:

• Vent: This mode directs most of the
air to the instrument panel outlets.
• Bi-Level: This mode directs air to the
instrument panel outlets and the
floor outlets.
• Floor: This mode directs most of the
air to the floor outlets.
Temperature Control: The driver-side
knob changes the temperature on the
driver’s and passenger’s side of the
vehicle. Turn the knob clockwise or
counterclockwise to manually increase
or decrease the temperature inside
your vehicle.
The passenger-side knob changes the
temperature on the passenger’s side of
the vehicle.

OnStar®(if equipped)
You have one year of OnStar service
from the date you purchased your new
vehicle with one of two service plans,

CONVENIENCE
To clear fog or frost from your
windshield, press the Windshield
Defogger button ( ). This mode
directs most of the air to the
windshield. When operating, the
Defog symbol appears on the display.
Rear Window Defogger
To remove fog or frost from the rear
window, press the Rear Window
Defogger button ( ) to turn the rear
window defogger on. It will turn off
automatically or can be turned off by
pressing the button again.
The heated outside rearview
mirrors also will be cleared when
is pressed.

Head-Up Display (HUD)
(if equipped)
Your vehicle’s
Head-Up Display
(HUD) projects
a range of
instrument
panel cluster
information on
the windshield,
reducing the need
to look away from the road. The
information appears as an image
toward the front of the vehicle.
The information displayed by the
HUD includes the speedometer,
turn signal indicators, high-beam
headlamps indicator, tachometer, oil

Personalization Features
Your Corvette offers personalization
capabilities that allow you to program
certain features to a preferred
setting for two different drivers.
Personalization features will be
recalled when the vehicle senses the
Keyless Access transmitter as the door
is opened, when the Lock or Unlock
button on the transmitter is pressed,
or when the appropriate Memory
button on the driver’s door is pressed.
Available Personalization
Features include:
Auto Memory Recall (Automatic
Transmissions only) (if equipped) —
Driver’s seat, outside rearview mirrors
and telescopic steering wheel move
to memory-set driving position.
(Settings: YES/NO)
Auto Exit Recall (if equipped) —
Driver’s seat and telescopic steering
wheel move to memory-exit position.
(Settings: YES/NO)
Approach Lights — Activate parking
lamps, high-beam headlamps and
back-up lamps when you approach the
vehicle. (Settings: ON/OFF)
Twilight Delay — Parking lamps and
high-beam headlamps remain on
for a selected period of time after
exiting the vehicle. (Settings:
OFF/15S/30S/90S)
and temperature gages, performance
shift light, check gages warning light
and -force gage. The following HUD
controls are located on the instrument
panel to the left of the steering wheel.
MODE: Press this button to scroll
through the three HUD modes of Street
Mode, Track Mode 1 and Track Mode 2.
PAGE: Press this button to
customize the HUD modes as they
are being displayed.
:Press the up or down arrow to
adjust the up-and-down position of the
HUD on the windshield. (It cannot be
adjusted side-to-side.)
+ – : Press the (+) button to increase
the brightness and the (–) button to
decrease the brightness of the
HUD image.
Off: To turn off the HUD image, press
and hold the (–) button.
If you change your seat position, you
may have to readjust the HUD image
for proper viewing.
If the ignition is on and you cannot see
the HUD image, check to see whether:
• Something is covering the HUD unit
• The brightness is adjusted properly
• The HUD image is adjusted to the
proper height
• Ambient light is low in the direction
your vehicle is facing
• A fuse is blown (see Fuses and Circuit
Breakers in your Owner Manual)
• The windshield and HUD lens are
clean (do not spray glass cleaner
directly on the HUD lens)
• You are wearing polarized
sunglasses, which could make the
image harder to see

Flash at Unlock — Two short flashes of
all turn signals when unlocking the
doors or trunk. (Settings: YES/NO)
Flash at Lock — One long flash of
all turn signals when locking the
doors. (Settings: YES/NO)
Fob Reminder — Horn sounds three
times when the driver’s door is closed
and a Keyless Access transmitter is
inside the vehicle. (Settings: YES/NO)
Passive Door Locking — Automatically
locks the doors after a short delay
when the ignition is turned off, the
Keyless Access transmitter has been
removed from the vehicle and the
doors have been closed. (Settings:
OFF/SILENT/HORN)
Passive Door Unlock — Automatically
unlocks either the driver’s door or both
doors when the Keyless Access
transmitter is within three feet of the
door and the driver’s door touch pad is
pressed. (Settings: DRIVER/BOTH)
Auto Unlock — Automatically
unlocks either the driver’s door or
both doors when the shift lever is
moved into Park (P) (with an automatic
transmission), or the ignition is turned
off or is in Retained Accessory Power
mode (with a manual transmission).
(Settings: OFF/DRIVER/BOTH)
Language — Select language in
DIC and Head-Up Display.
(Settings: English/ erman/French/
Italian/Spanish)
Personalize ame — Show a name
or greeting on the DIC display when
the corresponding Keyless Access
transmitter is used or the memory
button is pressed. (Settings: YES/NO)
Personal Options Menu
To change the preferences of your
Personalization features:
1. Make sure the vehicle is running
and in Park (P) (with an automatic
transmission) or in Neutral (with a
manual transmission) with the
parking brake set.
2. Press the OPTION button (the DIC
will display the current driver, 1 or
2, for a few seconds and then
display the first Personal Options
Menu item).
3. Use the RESET button to change the
setting of the displayed feature.
4. Press the OPTION button to scroll
through the list of features.
If a button is not pressed within 45
seconds, the DIC will exit the Personal
Options Menu.
Retained Accessory Power (RAP)
As an added convenience, Retained
Accessory Power (RAP) runs the
vehicle’s accessories (radio, power
windows, etc.) for a limited period of
time after the ignition is turned off.

Passenger Air Bag
Status Indicator
Your vehicle is equipped with a
Passenger Sensing System located in
the front passenger seat for the front
passenger frontal air bag, and a
passenger air bag status indicator
located on the rearview mirror.

Seat Controls
The power seat controls are located on
the outboard side of the seat cushion.
Six-Way Power Seats
• Move the front of the control (A) up
or down to adjust the front of the
seat cushion.
• Move the rear of the control (A) up
or down to adjust the rear of the
seat cushion.
• Slide the control (A) forward or
rearward to move the entire seat.
Power Lumbar and Side Bolsters
(if equipped)
• Press the vertical lumbar switch (B)
forward to increase support and
rearward to decrease support.
• Pull the horizontal side bolsters
switch (C) up to move the wings of
the seatback in and push the switch
down to move the wings out.

Interior Light Control
To adjust the brightness of the interior
lights, turn and hold the interior light
control knob located on the left side of
the instrument panel. Push the knob in
to turn the lights on or off.

For your convenience, the headlamp
control can be left in the Auto mode
for automatic operation.
Automatic operation can be
overridden by selecting the Off
position ( ). To reset to Auto mode,
turn the headlamp control switch
back to On and then back to AUTO.
Automatic mode will also reset the
next time the vehicle is started if the
switch is in the AUTO position.

Automatic Headlamp Control
Auto Signal
The turn signal lever has two upward
and downward positions to signal a
lane change or a turn.
• To signal a lane change, raise or
lower the lever until the arrow on
the instrument panel cluster starts
to flash. Release the lever. The turn
signal will automatically flash
three times.
• To signal a turn, move the lever all
of the way up or down. The arrow
on the instrument panel cluster will
flash. The turn signal will stop
flashing when the turn is completed.

There is one
heated seat
control button
located on the
center console
for each seat.
Off: Press the
bottom of the
button ( )
to turn the
system off.
High: Press the top of the button once
to turn the system on high.
Low: Press the top of the button twice
to turn the system on low.

Window Indexing
To provide a tight seal around each
door, the window will automatically
lower slightly when the door is opened
and then automatically rise fully when
the door is closed.
If battery power is disconnected, the
indexing feature must be initialized
after restoring power by performing
the following procedure:
1. Close the door.
2. Raise the window by pulling up
the switch.
3. Hold up the switch for three
seconds after the window is closed
and then release it.
4. Hold up the switch again for three
seconds and then release it.

Coupe Top
Your coupe has a removable roof
panel. Until you are sure you can
remove the panel alone, have
someone help you.
To Remove the Top:
There are two latches on the front
part of the panel and one latch in the
middle rear of the panel.
1. Lower the windows.
2. Pull down and turn the front
handles to release the front latches.
3. To unlock the rear of the panel,
press the Latch Release button and
pull down the latch.
4. Lift the front edge of the panel
up and forward out of the
vehicle opening.
Once removed, the roof panel should
always be stored properly in the
rear storage compartment. Place it
in the forward position in the
stowage receivers.
To Install the Top:
1. Make sure that the front handles
and the rear latch are in their
opened positions.
2. Place the rear edge of the roof panel
on the back of the roof opening,
aligning the roof panel pins with the
opening in the body weatherstrip.

Convertible Manual Top
(if equipped)
If your vehicle has a convertible
manual top, it can be lowered and
stowed under the tonneau cover
behind the seats.
To Lower the Convertible Manual Top:
1. Shift an automatic transmission
into Park (P) or shift a manual
transmission into Neutral. Set
the parking brake and turn off
the ignition.
2. Make sure the trunk is closed.
3. Unlock the convertible top front
latch by pulling it down and
turning it clockwise.
4. Lift the front edge of the top off
the windshield frame; then lift the
rear edge so it is vertical to the
tonneau cover.
5. Press the release button located
on the underside of the cover
behind the driver’s seat. This will
unlatch the tonneau cover and
lower the driver’s and passenger’s
side windows. The cover will not
unlatch if the vehicle alarm is
turned on or the trunk lid is open.
6. With the tonneau cover open, push
forward on the front edge of the
convertible top to allow the rear
edge of the top to move to its
full-down fully-stored position; then
move the top rearward to its fully
stored position.
7. Make sure the top is fully retracted,
and close the tonneau cover.

3. Lower the front edge of the
roof panel.
4. Turn the front handles to the closed
position and push up the rear latch
lever; then check that the roof panel
is securely installed.

Convertible Power Top
(if equipped)
If your vehicle has a convertible power
top, it can be lowered and stowed
under the tonneau cover behind
the seats.
To Lower the Convertible Power Top:
1. Start the engine.
2. Shift an automatic transmission
into Park (P) or shift a manual
transmission into Neutral. Set the
parking brake.
3. Make sure that the trunk is closed
and that the trunk partition is in the
fastened, upright position.
4. Unlock the convertible top front
latch by pulling and turning it
clockwise. The driver’s and
passenger’s side windows will
lower automatically.
5. Push and hold the bottom of
the power convertible top button
located on the left side of the
instrument panel. A chime will
sound when the
convertible top has
lowered completely.

Opening the Hood
To Open the Hood:
1. Pull the handle below the
instrument panel on the driver’s side.
2. o to the side of the vehicle and pull
up on the rear edge of the hood,
near the windshield.
To close the hood, pull it down and
close it firmly.

Car Wash Guidelines
Automatic car washes are not
recommended. Some automatic car
washes will cause damage to your
vehicle, wheels, or convertible top,
if equipped.
If you drive your vehicle through an
automatic car wash that does not
have enough clearance for the
undercarriage and/or wide rear tires,
you could damage your vehicle. Verify
with the manager of the car wash that
your vehicle will fit before entering the
car wash. To avoid possible damage,
use touchless automatic car washes.

Z06 and ZR1 Features
Checking Engine Oil
Z06 and ZR1 models are equipped
with a high performance dry sump
engine lubrication system. This system
operates differently than a standard
engine lubrication system.
You should check your oil level only
after the engine has been thoroughly
warmed up and then shut off for at
least five minutes. This ensures that
the oil level reading obtained will
be accurate.
Z06 and ZR1 models also require a
special procedure for changing the
engine oil and filter; refer to your
Owner Manual.
Jump Starting the Battery
The battery of your Z06 and ZR1 is
located in the rear of the vehicle. You
do not need access to the battery for
jump starting. There are remote
positive (+) and negative (–) terminals
located under the hood for this
purpose. Refer to your Owner Manual
for the locations of the terminals.

ote: Do not read the oil level after
extended periods of vehicle inactivity,
as the level indicated will not be
accurate and may falsely indicate a
low level condition. Any oil added due
to this method of reading may cause
the engine to be over-filled and can
lead to engine damage.

result in costly damage to your vehi-
cle that would not be covered by your
warranty. Be sure to follow all of the
steps in your Owner Manual to safely
and properly jump start your vehicle.
