Important Safety Instructions
Please read this guide thoroughly before using the ChouBox.
Always place the ChouBox on a firm, level surface. Avoid soft, uneven or unstable
flooring as it may affect the sensors which installed in unit to detect your cat.
If using with a network, please use a 2.4G WiFi network. The device does not
support 5G WiFi network.
ChouBox is suitable for any clumping cat litter.
Always be sure any cat in your household that might use the ChouBox weighs at
least 2.5 pounds. Cats must weigh 2.5 pounds or more to safely use the ChouBox in
Automatic Mode.
Never push the ChouBox against a wall or into a corner (must not be touching any
walls).
Never force your cat into the ChouBox.
Never sit on or place anything on top of the ChouBox.
Never allow children or others to play with the ChouBox.
If the external power supply is damaged, please contact us for a replacement.

(2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may
cause undesired operation.

Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class
B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to
protect reasonably against harmful interference in a residential installation. This
equipment generates, uses, and radiates radio frequency energy, if not installed and
used in accordance with the instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a
particular installation.
Suppose this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television
reception which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on. In that case,

Setting Up Your ChouBox
Your ChouBox comes fully assembled and ready to use. Get started by following the
steps below.
Placement
Place the new ChouBox in the same spot as your previous litter box.
Make sure the ChouBox is placed on a dry, firm and hard surface that is leveled.
Avoiding heat and humidity.
Locate the unit near a power outlet. Ensure the unit isn't pushed against a wall or
into a corner (must not be touching any walls).
If you want to control your ChouBox by using APP, you have to place the ChouBox in
a Wi-Fi covered area.

Litter
Suitable for all clumping cat litter on the market. We recommend choosing
clumping biodegradable cat litter which is low-dust, unscented and a particle size
within 20mm.
Pour the litter into the ChouBox. We recommend flattening the litter with your
hand after adding it, making sure it is below the max line. (Volume approx. 366in³
or 6L) Otherwise some of the litter may spill on the sealed door of the unopened
litter bin when the machine is in operation.
Power Supply And First Use
Plug the Type-C cable into the power input at the back of the ChouBox base and the
machine will start operating. Please follow the instructions on the panel.

Button operation
Select: Turn the knob
OK: Press the knob once
Return: press the knob twice
To pause an action in progress: press the knob once
Ending an action in progress: press the knob twice
Forced exit: long press on the knob
Setting operations
1. Cleaning settings
Intelligent cleaning: set the trigger time to switch to automatic cleaning mode after
the cat has left the Ball (default 5 minutes)
Timed cleaning: set the frequency of cleaning at certain intervals (default 2 hours)
Manual cleaning: Execute cleaning by knob, or by APP terminal. (Kitten mode, for
cats below 2.5 pounds cannot be recognised)
2. Networking settings
Rotate the knob on the control panel and choose "setting"—"Connect", then open
the "Tuya" / "Smartlife "app.
When the panel shows "Connecting...", find your device on a list of products via the
app and add yours to the list.
If the pairing is successful, ChouBox will beep for one second and the main panel
will show "ChouBox", then the WiFi icon will be displayed on the top left corner of
the panel. If the pairing is not successful, it will automatically exit to the main
interface.

Knob

App Connection
1. Search "Tuya" or "Smartlife"on AppStore or Google Play to download.(Both "Tuya"
and "Smartlife" is available for ChouBox, choose which is compatible with your mobile
phone.)
2. Open the Tuya/Smartlife App and follow the instructions within the app to register
an account. (Or use your existing Tuya/ Smartlife account to sign in).
3. Rotate the knob on the control panel and choose "setting"—"Connect", wait for the
screen(panel) shows "Connecting...".
4. Before finding your device on a list of products via the app and adding yours to the
list, remember to open the Bluetooth for ensuring successful detection.Then follow the
instructions on the app to complete the connection between your device and your
ChouBox.

Self-Cleaning
Note:
1. When the ChouBox is working, the infrared sensor and the gravity sensor will work
simultaneously. During the cleaning period, if the cat approaches the ChouBox, the
machine will instantly stop working all the way until 10s after detecting the cat leaving,
then it will continue the cleaning work.
2.If your kitten has diarrhoea, please set a longer waiting time on the ChouBox to allow
enough time for the litter to clump together.
Intelligent mode
After the cat has left the litter box for 5 minutes (user-adjustable time), the
ChouBox starts in auto-cleaning mode.
Timed mode
User can set the frequency of interval cleaning (e.g.: automatic cleaning every 2
hours)
Manual mode
The user can select the cleaning function via the control panel or execute the
cleaning via the APP, each operation cleaning once. (Kitten mode, for cats under 2.5
pounds not recognised)

ChouBox is equipped with 10 layers infrared ray for protection, 2 sets of Hall sensors.
When the ChouBox operates, it automatically pauses when the cat is nearby or enters
the litter box.
2.Gravity sensors
ChouBox has 4 gravity sensors. While your cat is inside the Ball, the weight sensors
ensure that the ball remains stationary until the cat is judged off the ChouBox for 10
seconds before resuming its previous operation.

Deodorisation systems
1.Odour removal
ChouBox comes standard with a sealed waste collection box and a built-in ozone
generator. This locks the odor inside and prevents it from spreading into the air.
2. Germicidal
The ChouBox is equipped with UV light, which works continuously from 3 seconds
before opening the sealed door until 3 seconds after closing to destroy viruses and
bacteria in the waste bin in time to protect your cat's safety.
Dismantling and routine maintenance
Recommendation on cleaning frequency
ChouBox is equiped with a 10L/610 inch collection box that will keep you from having
to clean it for up to two weeks,but we recommend cleaning it every 5 to 7 days.
Replacing trash bags
Pull out the waste drawer from underneath the ChouBox. Open the lid and remove the
waste bag from the bin and replace it with a new one. When finished, close the lid and
push the drawer back into the ChouBox.

the bottom of the waste
drawer with your hand so as
not to block the infrared
sensor.

*There might be some small particles of litter that
may stick to the bottom of the litter box and
accidentally fall on the lid of the waste drawer as
the cat litter ball rotates.
Please check and clean the waste drawer lid
manually at regular intervals to prevent too much
litter from falling and affecting the normal
operation of the ChouBox.
The sequences of Installing the silicone anti-adhesive pad
1. Buckle the slots at the position '③' of the anti-adhesive pad.
2. Buckle the slots at the position '①' of the anti-adhesive pad.
3. Buckle the slots at the position '②' of the anti-adhesive pad.
The sequences of detaching the anti-adhesive pad
1. Release the slot at the position'①'
3. Gently pull out the whole anti-adhesive pad.

Washable parts of ChouBox
The ChouBox supports water washing of some parts, the parts that can be removed for
cleaning are: Bonnet, ball and the waste drawer (excluding the Bonnet), the other parts
need to be cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth. Please disconnect the ChouBox before
cleaning.
