Cicognani engineering like to congratulate you on your purchase of your new ECHOLTD 2°. It is one of most advanced
Echo unit ever created. We hope this would help your creativity and better your sound. The Glorious Old Italian Echo at
the today time.
The great experience and knowledge of Guglielmo (The Guru) has been made available to create not a simple upgrade
of that fantastic ECHOSEX 2° LTD but a better vision of the most beautiful sounds of past.
Some guidelines to design this unit:!
* No mechanical part in movement; no maintenance needed; robust metal case in pedal size.!
* Better Audio Quality: The tube preamp does not change but has been equipped with an improved pcb.!
* Two adjustable and selectable delays time with analogue recall.!
* Two selectable filters of the tone repetitions to offer new surprising "sound halos”

Our LTD project has been used by many bands as an effect on vocals, instruments, PA. Needless to say, many
musicians have used it in different styles. It is a "creative machine" that enriches the sound thanks to its unmistakable
"feedback halos”. Many different effects can be obtained with the combination of echo, age, length and tone.

ECHOLTD 2° offers you the possibility to choose two different delay times and recall them in a simple way. We have
thought of this solution to guarantee the sound quality of all time.
A Bit of Echo LTD History
Echosex 2° LTD was designed by Cicognani engineering and built as a limited edition numbered in 500 pieces to
celebrate the 20th Anniversary. He has been awarded by many magazines in the sector and appreciated by musicians
and recording studios. In its simplicity, sound and particular design. (the real strengths). !

Echo LTD with its "halos" has inspired new pages of music. The creativity that emanates has made him unique and
much loved. The production was made in Italy with the careful supervision of the "guru" Guglielmo. For a production
error there are two N ° 001 because the 000 production sample was wrong in the numbering. (obviously I have it) !
The electronic components are of the highest quality combined with jacks, and switches produced in Italy by ST
PROFESSIONAL.The chosen factory valve is the Shuguang 12AX7B. Being used in the preamplifier gains, each valve
was tested for balancing triodes and microphonicity. The varnishes were made by artisans with a bicomponent
technique and silicon-shredding effect.
Introduction:
ECHOLTD 2° maintains the same technical characteristics as the old model; slightly increase the size so as to
accommodate the two delay time controls, the magic eye, the wet-out and the buttons that select the tone filter; the
trail; the input and output gain. We have put all our attentions into evolving a better and more comfortable design.!

The “Echo1” time ranges from 75 to 420mS while “Echo 2” from 75 to 580mS. The “Tone control” works in the
same way as the previous version, offering the additional possibility of selecting two different filters. These filters
modify the "halo" scene allowing you to sculpt the desired sound better.
Now with the gain buttons on the main panel it is easier and more immediate to reduce or increase the levels of the
input and output.!

The preamps are composed by the two triodes of the 12Ax7 valve and buffered directly with mos-fet, so as to preserve
all the purity of the sound. The polarized valve in this way inserts a very musical natural compression that makes LTD
unique. The bypass circuit in addition to performing its priority function, resets the feedback in an analog way so as to
allow a new re-use with matching halos.!

The “magic eye”, displays the input signal. (Always On) This is pre-calibrated by the factory in order to understand the
progress of the signal and when it is advisable to reduce the gain level of the input using the dedicated 0 / -10db
button. ECHOLTD 2° it can be connected between instrument and amplifier, in the effects loop and in the recording
devices.
The Guru’s Advice
1) Connect the main power to 12Vdc (min 500mA). Make sure the power supply is negative tip. At the moment of
POWER/ON, the preheating of the valve causes a high current peak. For this reason we recommend a power
supply with a current greater than 500mA in order to prevent it the clip protection."
2) Connect the “Input” to the instrument."
3) Set the “Input Tube Gain”. The input Gain is displayed by "Input Level” and can be adjusted from 0 to -10db."
4) Set the “Output Tube Gain”. The Output Gain can be adjusted from 0 to +4db."
The input and output tube gain switches emit a bumpt because they are connected directly on the cathode resistors
of the valve. Don't be alarmed, it's normal"
ECHOLTD is equipped with 12AX7B (ECC83) tube. We test them because is important that the triodes are balanced,
efficient and with low level of microphonicity. If you wish to replace it, make sure you have purchased a product with
these characteristics."

Input Instruments Connection:

To the Input you can use many different instrument lo and hi impedance as: Guitar, bass, mic preamplifier, keyboards,
etc. The input control must be adjusted so that you can use the right amount of signal. The input level (magic eye)
will help you understand how to adjust the levels."
Attention!! The input level adjustment is very important as it affects the behavior of the echo sound. With low input
levels the mix may not reach a good presence while high levels may introduce harmonic distortion on repetitions.
I do not recommend the use of echo in distortion due to high input levels as it is "not very musically”. I think it is
better to use an overdrive or fuzz between the instrument and the echo. The repetitions in this way are more
precise and defined. It is only a personal opinion !!!!
ECHOLTD Front Amp connections
The use of the echo in front of the amplifier is one of the most classic configurations. Thanks to a powerful input and
output buffer we can send a good and clean signal to the amplifier. The use of good quality cables is always
recommended.If you use Fuzz, Od. or Dist. pedals move the echo to the end of the chain to obtain the best
performance

Terms of Warranty:
Cicognani Engineering product warranty covers 2 years from date of purchase with the exception of moving
mechanical parts such as foot switches, speakers and handles which have a 1 year warranty. The valves, lights and
cables are guaranteed for 3 months from the date of purchase.The warranty does not cover damage caused by
accident, misuse and / or neglect, failure to comply with the instruction manual, repair and attempted repair by
personnel not authorized by Cicognani Engineering, any damage caused during transport and delivery, (claims must
be presented to the carrier); damage to any product that has been altered or on which it has been removed, defaced
or altered serial number; damage caused by faulty connections or connections to equipment failures and/or defective
power cables. Responsibility of Cicognani Engineering for any defective product is limited to repair or replacement of
the product at our discretion.The Cicognani Engineering not be liable for damages resulting from loss of use of the
product, lost time operation interrupted by non-use of the product, loss of business or any other damages or
