Quick Installation Guide

Installation and testing
1. The following pages picture some installation examples. Pick the one that
matches to your case.
2. Implement the appropriate connections according to the example.
3. Ensure that the Power LED is active.
4. Notice if there is some activity to the LEDs of the Ethernet connector.
5. Download and Run the CIDerApp software to your PC.
6. Make a call from you mobile phone and you will get a pop-up to your PC.

VDSL Router –Installation example
1. Use a standard telephone cable tο
interposed CiDer between the Line-1
output of the router and the first
telephone.
2. Repeat the above step for the Line 2 if
available.
3. Connect CiDer to the VDSL router through
a standard Ethernet cable.
4. Plug the Micro-USB cable of the power
adaptor to the CIDer connector.

ADSL Router –Installation example
1. Use a standard telephone cable tο
interposed CiDer between the phone
output of the splitter/filter and the
telephone.
2. Connect CiDer to the ADSL router through a
standard Ethernet cable.
3. Plug the Micro-USB cable of the power
adaptor to the CIDer connector.

PSTN Line –Installation example
1. Use a standard telephone cable tο
interposed CiDer between the Line-1
(provider’s line socket) and the first
telephone.
2. Repeat the above step for the Line 2 if
available.
3. Connect CiDer to an Access Point through a
standard Ethernet cable.
4. Plug the Micro-USB cable of the power
adaptor to the CIDer connector.
NOTE: The use of the Access Point is not essential.
A peer-to-peer connection with a standard PC is
equivalently possible.

Testing
1. Use a standard PC with internet access
through the local network. Then download
and Run the CiDerApp application from
www.callerid.gr.
2. With your mobile phone make call to the
monitored line.
3. A notification will appeared to your PC.
