Configure UPC Scan Settings In CipherLab 8000
This document is for anyone who scans an item and receives (item not
found) do to the CipherLab not looking at the last digit (Check Digit) or the
first digit (Leading Digit) of the UPC.
Check Digit
Leading Digit

Power on the device and walk through the configurations matching the grid
below until you get to the (Drop UPC Options).
At the (Drop UPC Options), tap the dot above the 3 on the device to change
the values between Y & N as shown below. The check digit (UPCE Last) is
set to yes meaning that it will be dropped from the UPC when the item is
scanned.
Be sure to change UPCA to match UPCE.

This configuration will remove the leading digit from the UPC when an item
is scanned.
The configuration below will remove both the leading digit and check digit
from the UPC when an item is scanned.

Leaving all options set to N (Default Setting) will scan the entire UPC
including both the leading digit and check digit.
Once you have configured how you want your UPC’s scanned, finish the
rest of the setup following the setup grid.
