4. Description of the ShotMaxTM
The ShotMaxTM with its 24” x 2” (61cm x 5cm) cannon uses continuous vacuum suction
to shoot out product simultaneously and continuously. It is capable of shooting
continuous confetti to approximately 35 feet (10.7m) and streamers to 50 feet (15.2m).
Simple and uncomplicated, the product is never touched by blades or a motor, and is
built with safety standards in mind! Compared to the competition, the noise level is
reduced by 75%.
This revolutionary machine can launch artificial snow, tissue confetti, streamers, fog, wind
and more. Mix tissue confetti and tissue streamers for continuous aerial excitement!
Shoot falling snow for that evenly distributed look. It even breaks up the clumps! Shoot
low-ground fog for a powerful simulated CO2blast to 50 feet and even further when
teamed with the Hurricane fan. The possibilities are endless to match your creativity!
5.Safety Instructions
WARNING: Read and understand all labels and operating instructions
before attempting installation.
o Never open the machine without disconnecting power lead first!
o Risk of electrical shock- This device is supplied with a grounding conductor. To reduce
risk of electrical shock, connect only to properly grounded, grounding type receptacles.
Never remove the third prong from the plug.
o This machine requires a properly grounded circuit for operation. The ShotMaxTM draws
approximately 10 amps at 120 VAC (5 amps at 230VAC). During ShotMaxTM operation
this circuit should be dedicated to the ShotMaxTM. If you have any doubts about the
capacity or grounding of your existing circuits, consult a qualified electrician.
o Be sure area around the unit is dry before applying electrical power.
o WARNING: Use of this machine for soft materials only. Confetti, soft streamers and soft
SnoBiz are recommended by the manufacturer. Do not use this to launch other items.
Harmful or dangerous injury can occur if not following directions.
o Use of fluids through the tubing is prohibited.
o Shooting fog through the flex tubing will cause a build up of residue. Do not use for
confetti, snow or other items after shooting fog. Angle of machine must be pointed down
when shooting fog to insure the residue does not flow back to blower. A damp or wet
blower is not covered under the Limited Warranty.
o Make sure that your unit is pointed in a direction that leaves a 50ft (13m) open area out in
front. Place the front of the machine away from direct contact with electrical instruments
and people.
6. Operating the SHOTMAXTM

6
6.1 Selecting the Location
Secure a good location for the machine to rest solidly on the floor or suspended so that
the output of the machine will not be restricted. If suspending the unit, you must use the
optional safety cable. Make sure that your unit is pointed in a direction that leaves an
open area out in front and can travel 50ft (13m) without restriction. Point the front of the
machine away from direct contact with electrical instruments and people.
6.2 Electrical Power Requirements
The ShotMaxTM draws approximately 10 amps at 120 VAC and 5 amps at 230VAC.
During operation this circuit should be dedicated to the ShotMaxTM. If you have any
doubts about the capacity or grounding of your existing circuits, please consult a qualified
electrician. Do not add other equipment on this circuit.
6.3 Hooking Things Up
•Attach the threaded tube to the front of the machine. IMPORTANT! Make certain the
launch area in front of launch tube is clear of any obstructions or personnel prior to
operation. Aim toward open area so as not to strike objects, persons, or items. Clear
area around machine so not to block air intake around all vents.
•Adjust bracket to hold up front of machine when sitting on a surface. Be sure to secure
the unit by anchoring it down. If hanging the unit from overhead, swing the bracket
completely around to the upward position and attach the C-clamp with ½” bolt, using the
safety cable. Lock the unit in position securely.
•Plug power cord into power receptacle that provides 120VAC-10A or 220VAC-5A, power
to unit.
•Insert the straight end of the suction hose into the suction connection in the cutout on top
•Place angled drawtube into the coupling on the opposite end of the hose.
6.4 Operating the Machine
•Once you have followed all safety precautions, you may turn the power switch to the
“ON” position.
•You have the option of running the Shotmax™ at high (normal) or low speed. The lower
speed allows you to drop the normal speed by about 15 mph. Using the lower speed
enables the user to create a shorter throw distance in areas where space may be limited.
It is recommended that you test both speeds to find the appropriate speed for your
environment.
•Move the angled drawtube through material to be launched, as needed. As long as the
material is close to the inlet, it will launch continuously.
•Launch soft items such as SnoBiz™, confetti, streamers, flower petals, smoke, or even
dust. Do not stuff the product into the tube, but allow plenty of air to pass with the items
to be launched. Use the angled end of hose tip to agitate the surface of product to be

7
vacuumed. Note: The angled end allows air with the product to be drawn into tube.
This prevents clogging.
•This machine is to be used with soft materials only! Do not use this to launch any
other items. Injury can occur if improperly used. Use of any fluids through the machine
is prohibited.
•Shooting Fog through the flex tubing will cause a build up of residue. Do not use for
confetti, snow or other items after shooting fog. Angle of machine must be pointed down
when shooting fog to insure the residue does not flow back into the blower. A damp or
wet blower is not covered under the Limited Warranty.
6.5 Optional DMX Control
With optional Universal DMX control, you will be able to turn the unit on and off under
DMX control. Confetti will still need to be hand-fed into the Feeder tube.
6.6 Rest Period
Continuous operation of this machine is not recommended. After 30 minutes of operation
allow a 5-minute cool-down period.
6.7 Troubleshooting
1. Why does the nozzle clog every time I use it? The long tip of the nozzle needs to be
placed into the confetti or snow-like fluffy product so the tip just touches the top of the
product and you rake across the top of it.
2. Why is the unit not sucking very much? When the nozzle is facing in the upward
position, lots of air will flow through the unit.
3. Why is the unit not sucking very much? It used to suck a lot and now it doesn’t suck
at all. The hose may be clogged. Lift up slightly at the nozzle connection inside the unit
and pull on the tubing to remove the entire coupling. This will disconnect it from the
machine and give you an opportunity to unclog any confetti that may be stuck at the
intersection where the flexible tubing connects to the rigid tubing inside the box.

8
7. Service and Maintenance
Care of your ShotMaxTM will give you years of service. Cleaning your
unit is going to pay off in constant good performance.
1. After use, detach hose and inspect hose and Y-connector for clogs.
2. Clear any product or debris from air vents of machine housing.
3. Inspect to make sure nothing has gotten inside the motor case. If enough confetti is
sucked into the motor, output will decrease and motor can overheat if not cleaned out.
