Safety
Safety regulations for thepool
• It is theresponsibility of theowner of thepool to obtain information about local
regulations and laws concerning theinstallation of apool and associated fencing,
to follow guidelines and to adopt safety measures before thepool is setup. Itis
important to follow official regulations on theuse ofpools.
• Do not use sand to create asmooth surface where thepool is to be located. Locate
thepool on anaturally flat surface that does not require to be workedon. Ifsand is
needed to smooth off thesite and make it level, thesite is not suitable for apool.
• Do not allow children to use thepool without constant supervision by anadult.
• Do not allow anyone to dive or jump into thepool. Donot build tower-like structures
from which to jump into thepool. Thewater in thepool is not deep enough forthis.
People who engage in such activities may suffer serious injury or evendeath.
• Do not allow rough games or sports around thepool. People in or around thepool
may suffer serious injury if this rule is not observed.
• Treat thewater continuously with thenecessary chemicals to prevent theformation
of harmful bacteria (see section Careand maintenance).
• Tell children that they must not drink thewater in thepool. Remind children that
they must leave thepool if they need to use thetoilet.
• Keep rescue equipment close to thepool. Examples of suitable equipment are
aboathook and alifebuoy attached to arope. Putup anotice showing emergency
phone numbers, pool rules,etc.
• If thepool is used in theevening, thesite must be welllit. Itis important that
everyone using thepool can see thebottom, as well as safety signs, paths,etc.
Arrange for anelectrician to install suitable lighting. Theowner of thepool
is responsible for compliance with theofficialrules.
• When thepool is not in use, cover it with apool cover (sold separately).

Safety rules for non-swimmers
• Any non-swimmer spending time in or around the pool must be under constant
adult supervision (children under 5 years of age are most at risk of drowning).
• A responsible adult must be assigned to oversee the pool every time it is used.
• Non-swimmers must use personal floatation devices whenever they use the pool.
• Any toys must be removed from in and around the pool whenever it is not being
used or overseen to prevent attracting children from using it.
Safety measures
• Access to the pool by unauthorised individuals should be prevented by the
installation of some form of fence or similar and locks on any doors and windows.
• Fences, pool covers and alarms all help improve pool safety but are no substitute
for careful and constant supervision by an adult.
Safety equipment
• Rescue equipment such as lifebuoys and floats must always be accessible close
to the pool.
• A working telephone and the telephone number of the emergency services must
always be close to hand.
Pool safety
• Everyone who uses the pool should be encouraged to learn to swim.
• The adult responsible for supervising the pool must have basic lifesaving skills and
practice to keep those skills current.
The following points can be crucial for saving lives in
anemergency situation
• Everyone who uses the pool, even children should be instructed what to do in
anemergency.
• Never dive into a shallow pool. Doing so could result in a serious injury.
• Never use the pool whilst under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medicine. Doing
so could have an adverse effect on your capabilities of using the pool in a safe way.
• If a pool cover is used, remove it completely from the pool before entering.
• Treat the water with the chemicals necessary to maintain its quality and make sure
that everyone who uses the pool understands the importance of good hygiene.
Thisis to protect everyone who uses the pool from water-related diseases. Refer
to the instruction manual of the pool for information regarding how the water
should betreated.
• All pool chemicals should be stored out of children’s reach.
• Pay attention to all the safety symbols.
• Detachable ladders must be laid down horizontally when not in use.

Safety regulations for thepump
• Thepump is only intended to be used together with thispool.
• Never plug in thepower lead of thepump if your hands arewet.
• Thepower lead of thepump may only be plugged into anearthed socket fitted
with aresidual current device (RCD).
• Locate thetransformer at least two metres from thepool or as far as the12 V
connecting lead allows.
• Do not use anextension lead and never use thetransformer if thepowerlead
is damaged.
• Do not bury thecable. Makesure that it does not get damaged by mowers and
other equipment.
• Before starting thepump, make sure that all hoses are properly connected and all
hoseclips aretight.
• Do not start thepump until thepool has been filled withwater.
• Before starting thepump, open theair vent screw and release any remainingair.
• Never have thepump running when there is someone in thepool.
• Never allow children to use thepump. Onlyadults may operate thepump.

Installation/Assembly
a) Choosing asite
It is extremely important to choose asuitable site for your pool BEFORE you fill it
withwater. Follow theguidelines below when choosing asite for thepool. Thiswill
simplify installation and ensure trouble-free use of thepool.
1. Make sure that thesite you choose is stable, even andlevel. WARNING! Apool
installed on anuneven surface may leak, be misshapen or collapse, causing
damage to property or injury to people in and around thepool. Neveruse sand or
any other material to level theground under thepool.
2. Before positioning thepool, clear stones, debris and other items withsharp
edges from thesurface. Itis agood idea to use agroundsheet (available from
specialist dealers).
3. Do not choose asite directly below overhead power lines or trees or less than five
metres from buildings. Checkalso that there are no buried cables, telephone lines
or gas pipes under your chosensite. Donot choose asite with wooden decking or
any other surface that has been treated with oil-based products.
4. Do not place thepool close to balconies or other raised structures. People may be
tempted to jump into thepool from aheight, and this may result in injury.
5. Choose thelocation of thepool withcare. Grassand other vegetationunder
thepool willdie. Avoidlocations where there are weeds that might grow through
thefloor and lining of thepool.
6. If possible, locate thepool in direct sunlight. Thisis agood way of heating thepool.
7. Never drag thepool along theground. Yourpool is adelicate product which can
easily be damaged. Carryit to your chosen location.
b) Assembling thepool and filling it withwater
Note:
We strongly recommend that thepool should be installed by two people.
1. If you are using agroundsheet, unfold it and lay it out on thesite you have
chosen for thepool. Makesure that thegroundsheet is spread out smoothly over
theground, without folds or creases. Makesure that thepower lead to thepump
can reach thesocket safely.
2. Unpack thepool and place it in thecentre of thegroundsheet (if you are using one).
Makesure that theconnections and drain hole of thepump are correctly positioned.
Note: Donot drag thepool as this may cause tears and other damage.

3. Unfold thepool and spread out thesides and thebottom as evenly as possible.
Tip: Thepool is easier to install if you unfold it and leave it in thesun for afew
hours before you installit. Thismakes thematerial of thepool softer and more
pliable so that it is easier to handle during assembly.
4. Pump air into thetop ring of thepool and position it centrally on thepool.
Thetop ring should be about 85 % filled withair. Donot over-inflate thetopring.
If you over-inflate it, it may burst or theseams maysplit.
6. Make sure that thetop ring is in themiddle and thepool walls are outside thering.
Runafew centimetres of water into thepool and carefully smooth out all folds and
creases in thebottom. Dothis both from inside thepool and by carefully pulling on
thepool floor from theoutside.
7. Continue adding water to thepool. Note: Ifthepool begins to tilt to one side or
if it goes “egg-shaped”, stop addingwater. Thismeans that thesite you chose
for thepool is not flat enough or you have not pulled out thepool walls sufficiently.
Emptythepool and correct theproblems before starting to fill thepoolagain.
8. Thepool will rise up gradually as itfills. During filling, check forleaks.
Carefully monitor thefilling process and check that nothing abnormal happens.
9. When thewater reaches thebottom of theinflatable ring and thepool walls are
smooth and firm, thepool isfull. Donot add morewater. Donot allow anyone to jump,
sit or lean heavily against theinflatable ring as this may cause thepool to collapse.
5. Fit theplugs supplied (from theinside of
thepool) to thepool’s inlet and outlet holes
for thepump. Closethedrain outlet.
10. Thepool as it is meant to look from above,
correctly positioned and filled withwater.
11. If thepool is over-filled by mistake or as aresult of rainfall, drain off excesswater.
Thelevel of water in thepool must never go above thebottom of theinflatablering.

c) Installing thepump
1. Thepump works best if you position it at least 20 cm below thesurfaceof
thewater in thepool.
2. Position thepump at least 60 cm from theside of thepool.
3. Using thesupplied hoseclips, connect one of thehoses to thepool inlet (theupper
hose connection) and theother end to thepump outlet (thelower hose connection).
4. Using thesupplied hoseclips, connect theother hose to thepool outlet (thelower
hose connection) and theother end to thepump inlet (theupper hose connection).
Firmly tighten all thehoseclips.
5. Remove theplugs from thepool inlet and outlet and fit thesupplied strainers.
6. Allow thehoses and thepump to fill withwater. Neverstart thepump withoutwater.
7. Carefully turn theair vent screw (1) on top of thepump one to two turns
anticlockwise to release any remainingair. Closetheair ventscrew.
8. Make sure that thepump is standing securely. Itmust always be upright.
9. Do not position thepump in tall grass as it may overheat.
10. Plug thepower lead of thepump into anearthed socket fitted with aresidual
current device (RCD).
Care and maintenance of thepool
• Thepump effectively removes dirt and debris from thepool water, but certain
chemicals must still be used correctly and consistently to keep thewaterin
thepool clean andclear.
• Check thewater quality regularly and add thecorrect chemicals. Teststrips and
chemicals are available from Clas Ohlson.

• It is agood idea to use aleaf net (available from specialist dealers) to remove
leaves and other items from thesurface of thepool.
• To clean thebottom of thepool, use apool vacuum cleaner (available from
specialist dealers). Thisappliance is powered by agardenhose.

Care and maintenance of thepump
• Let thepump run for four to six hours aday, but never when people are using thepool.
• Do not let thepump run for too long, especially on very hot days, since it may
overheat and suffer damage.
• Thepump does not need lubrication or any other maintenance.
• Always unplug thepower lead of thepump from thewall socket
before doing any work on thepump.
• Use nothing but aslightly damp cloth to clean theoutside of thepump.
Never use solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• When thepump is not in use, store it in awarm, dry place, first makingsure
that all parts are completelydry.
Changing thepump filter
How often thepump filter needs cleaning or changing depends on how may people
use thepool and how often they doso. Asarule of thumb, thefilter should be
cleaned/changed every threeweeks.
1. Unplug thepower lead of thepump from thewall socket.
2. Remove thestrainers from thepump inlet and outlet and fit theplugs.
3. Turn theair vent screw on thetop of thepump anticlockwise to release
any pressure in thepump.
4. Remove thetop of thepump (turn it anticlockwise) and take out thefilter.
5. Rinse thefilter withwater. Ifyou cannot get it clean, fit anew filter.
6. Refit thecleaned or new filter and screw thetop on to thepump (turning it clockwise).
7. Take out theplugs, fit thestrainers, let thepump and hoses fill with water and vent
thepump.
Emptying, dismantling and storage
1. Unplug thepower lead of thefilter pump from thewall socket.
2. Check that thedrain nozzle is properly fitted to theside of thepool.
3. Connect agarden hose to theadapter and make sure that theother endof
thehose is lower than thepool so that it can drain completely. Checkalsothat
thewater from thepool can run off safely.
4. Fit thesupplied plugs to thepump hose inlet and outlet on theinsideof
thepool and detach thehoses.
5. Fit theadapter to thedrain valve by turning it clockwise.
6. Open thedrain plug on theinside of thepool so that water starts to drainoff.
7. When thepool is empty, remove theadapter.
8. Refit thedrain plug inside thepool.
9. Make sure that thepool is completely dry before folding it up for storage.
Thesmallest amount of moisture may causemould. Tip: Thepool is easier
to fold if you leave it in thesun for afew hours before you installit. Thismakes
thematerial of thepool softer and more pliable.
10. When thepool is thoroughly dry and folded, it must be stored wrapped in
agroundsheet, tarpaulin or similar.
11. Store thepool and all its accessories indoors, in awarm, dryplace.
