Rafter Assembly Instructions
ATTENTION: The pre-punched purlin mounting holes in
the short rafter sections are not centered. Before assembly,
measure from the holes to the end of the rafter section and
position the longer 40" section toward and connect it to the
chevron, which will be at the top of the assembled rafter.
Repeat this procedure for all rafter assemblies to ensure that
the purlin mounting holes remain aligned throughout the length
of the frame. If the purlin holes do not align during the frame
assembly, verify that all rafters are assembled as shown on this
page and throughout this manual.
Consult the diagrams below and all rafter diagrams throughout
this manual before you assemble the rafter.

ATTENTION: During the rafter assembly, verify that you
have positioned the long end of the short rafter section—
approximately 40" from the end of the section to the purlin
mounting holes—toward the peak of the assembly.
See the Over-the-Top diagram at the end of this manual
and Page 6 for additional details.

Side Profile Connection Details
When additional rafters are added to a standard building to change the rafter spacing from 6' on-center to 4' on-center,
cable patterns may change for some building lengths. The Side Profile diagrams in this guide show the cable patterns
for buildings with 4' on-center rafter spacing. Use the diagrams for your building during the assembly.
REMEMBER: A standard building has 6' on-center rafter spacing. The diagrams in this guide show frames with 4' on-
center rafter spacing. This 110644 kit is not used when additional rafters are purchased to lengthen the original building.
The diagrams on this page correspond to the details circled on the main Side Profile diagrams found on the remaining
pages. Some details may not apply to some frame lengths. In some instances, the cable bracket shown in Detail A and
Detail B is used to secure two (2) cables or four (4) cables. To secure two (2) cables, use two of the connection points on
the 108874 bracket only. Actual angle of the cable runs may vary from the detail. Consult the Side Profile diagrams.
Use the components contained in the 110644 adaptor kit sent with your building. This kit is used for all building widths
and lengths. Some components may not be needed for your building. Consult the diagrams in this guide to determine
what components of the kit are needed for your building when rafter spacing is 4' on-center.
