Installation Guide
Special Instructions
1. Must be fitted by qualified electrician
2. Isolate from mains before commencing installation
3. Delete all customer registration data from installer PC before leaving
customer site

Fit SIM card (3)
Instructions
1. On rear of unit, slide back of SIM
carrier down to unlock, and hinge
upwards
2. Gently slide SIM into carrier,
square side first, so gold contacts
face down when closed
3. Carefully close carrier so angled
corner of SIM aligns with angle in
SIM holder base and slide carrier
upwards until it latches home

Power up device (5)
Power up device
1. Switch on power to the device
2. Check scroll-wheel illuminates
and unit enters start-up sequence
– blank display showing “Unit
initialising” for approx 30 seconds
3. Unit completes start-up and
displays 3 timer dials
Attach unit to wall plate (4)
Alignment
1. Align unit directly above back-
plate
2. Twist down and engage hinge
3. Push firmly to close and
engage clip

Ask the user to save the device mobile number to their phone and repeat the
above sequence – see (12)
Carry out local checks (6)
Local checks
1. Check unit shows correct time within 1 minute
of completing start-up sequence. If time does
not update, check 2 below.
2. Press the Menu/Back button. Observe “Menu”
options are displayed. Choose Reports and
Statistics, Signal strength. Note signal strength.
3. If signal strength is less than 15% follow steps
for “poor signal”
4. Press Menu/Back 3 times to exit
5. Press “Boost” button for Living zone. Boost
menu is displayed, select boost for 1 hour.
Observe Boost light glows orange and heating
is turned on in living zone
6. Press Living Boost again and select Cancel
Boost. Boost light is extinguished and heating
is turned off in living zone.
7. Repeat for all other active zones.

Customer Demonstration (10)
Item Details
Demonstrate the following as time allows. As a minimum, show the user items 1 through 4
1 Local Show basic local operations, Boost, Menu, Timer setting
2 Phone Save mobile phone number of time clock into homeowners phone. Show basic
text operations, Boost, Cancel, Report, Help
3 Login After registration and initial website demonstration, log-out and take the user
through the log-in process, making sure they note all details required to login
4 Edit Take the user through the edit process, demonstrate adding and changing
timer ranges and how to use the Copy functions
5 Boost Show Boost function. Demonstrate Boost “on” and “off” from website
6 Schedule Explain heating schedules. Show the user how to edit existing schedules and
create a new one
7 Reports Show the Report and account activity graph
8 Holiday Show Holiday function. Demonstrate Holiday on and off from website
